Dr. Scott J Van Steyn

Dr. Van Steyn has been my orthopedist since 2006 and between he and his outstanding staff I have the utmost confidence in their abilities and patient relationships. Dr. Van Steyn possesses the perfect mix of “bedside” manner and professionalism. He cares about his patients and has even done surgery on my wife and asks me about her when I’ve an appointment with him. He gets right to the point but can also answer all questions, provides the best options to remedy your condition and makes sure his patients have a clear understanding of what’s involved in the entirety of any procedure. He’s also a highly accomplished orthopedic surgeon who has earned his pedigree working on Olympians and professional athletes (of which I am neither). That being said I know he gives the same care and attention to patients such as myself as I’ve never had a problem with any of the three surgeries he’s performed on me. He has my full recommendation!

Dr VanSteyn and the whole crew are absolutely fantastic and I would recommend them hands down to anyone!

I needed knee surgery but had to wait 6-8 weeks in Florida. Flew up to Columbus and had surgery in one week. Dr. Van Steyn was excellent and I was confident in his ability since he repaired my other knee 5 years ago.

I went to Dr. Van Steyn with a torn ACL and some other issues with my knee due to a skiing incident. He took the time to explain the problem, talk through my MRI, and took time in surgery to repair other issues that were discovered. I loved how thorough he was and how much he cares about progress leading up to surgery, as well as recovery after surgery!

Doctor VanSteyn is an exemplary surgeon not only because of his skill as a surgeon but because of his informative nature to make it clear what all the steps of my surgery and after care would be. He spent time with me and my daughter fielding our questions before my surgery My daughter ( who accompanied me) was so well informed before and after my surgery. I can not express my gratitude enough to him and the entire team at Orthopedic One Surgery Center at Sawmill Road.

Amazing doctor who truly cares about his patients. Dr. Van Steyn goes above and beyond to ensure his patients receive a better quality of life. Not only is Dr. Van Steyn an exceptional surgeon, he is also very involved in his patients’ recovery process. In addition, he takes the time to listen and get to know his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Van Steyn and his staff for knee reconstructive surgery.

Understands the pain threshold of his patients. Makes great suggestions towards strength gain around the joint, along with exercise & flexibility. Completely helps where ever necessary.

I was at Orthopedic One a little over 30 minutes and that included X-Rays. Dr. Van Steyn had paper copies of my X-Rays and pointed out all my knee issues and then suggested I keep the paper copies.

I really appreciated the thorough care that I received, and the effort Dr. Van Steyn put into helping me understand my condition. He really cares about his patients and it shows. I’m thankful he is my doc.

I love Dr. Van Steyn. He's honest, straightforward, helpful, and remembers everything. Aside from his excellent bedside manner, I appreciated that he treated me like a person and not just an appointment.
