First and second visit went well. I like the doctor and staff. I'm very happy I have this onocologist.

I was sent to Dr. McHam by my GP to ask him to look at my elevated PSA numbers. I found Dr. McHam to be a good listener and sensitive to my concerns. He quickly got me set up with additional tests to help diagnose my problem. Within 3 days of the testing I was back in his office discussing my situation and his plan for treatment. We immediately start some treatment and scheduled additional. He also asked me to meet with a consulting physician. Dr. McHam and his staff have been a pleasure to work with. Nurses, technicians and schedulers were both friendly and professional. Cancer Partners of Nebraska and Dr McHam have really helped put my concerns and fears at ease. My experience with my Oncologist is very rare. He doesn't treat me like a cancer patient, but a friend/family member that he wants to provide the best care for! His attitude towards my health shows the compassion of a doctor that takes his life work personal. Dr. Scott McHam has definitely set the bar in caring for the life and recovery for his patients. I feel this rating is honest and fair. However, my complaint lies, perhaps, more with the system and less with this doctor. From what I can see, they all do it. I cannot speak for my dad (Dr. McHam's patient) but my experience (my dad's legal guardian and daughter) with Dr. McHam is OK. He spent about five minutes in the room with us...basically, to say that my dad needs a CAT scan to keep an eye on any cancers that might be lurking (not his word, mine). I don't know how much he gets paid for each five minute visit...OK, maybe ten, but take that times (in a busy day) a forty? Yes, I know med school. Yes, I know malpractice insurance. Yes, I get paying staff and renting office space. How many is this cost split with? How many doctors share the area? And a CAT scan wasn't super tough to predict on my own...and I am no where near gas smart. Honestly, I understand that insurance has it's protocols, but why couldn't this all be accomplished by just sending my dad to the CAT, in the first place? Nurses at dad's Rehab center already take dad's blood pressure, pulse and respirations at least twice a day. Dr. McHam's nurse and staff was lovely. The RN took my dad's blood pressure and looked over my dad's list of meds, questionaire of symptoms etc. Yet, Dr. McHam greeted, listened a few seconds (?) to dad's heart and lungs...and wham bam, he was out the door basically. He was, in the past, good at helping my dad when he had his bowel cancer removed. It can't be easy telling people they have cancer...that part of his job must really hurl. He works with a good posse of Doctors. Love Dr. Krier. That gal has some SERIOUS SKILLS! YET, I and my dad had the meet and greet with her two weeks ago, didn't even see her. Not a glimpse. Got to see a PA...I think. So I call the initial appointment a "meet and greet". This would be fine if it wasn't costing someone (ultimately the tax payer or insurance companies) so much dang money and, can I just add that it is NOT easy getting my dad to these things? Between the nursing home nurses, transportation, me, my schedule, paperwork at front desk, dealing with an impatient dementia patient (answering questions about how do you remember your last two weeks...hello? Alzheimer's?) and weigh in, actual appointment, call for transport home and actual trip home about ten points of frustration take place. One of those tanks and....aaargh. Could this guy afford to spend just a little bit more time being personable to folks? Or better yet call saying "becausee your dad had bowel cancer last year and is in a high risk category, we'd like to schedule a CAT scan" ? THAT would have been a breath of fresh air! Yipeeee, one less dr. trip!! Then the second appointment for the discussion of what was found or not found and going forward? With all the doctors a human body could experience, my dad sees at least SIX including his GP. I have at least one dr. visit per week for my dad, it seems. Good grief!!! Help!!!! He gave me less than a year to live. I fired him. I am now cancer free.

Dr McHamm was my doctor over ten years ago in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My name is Karen Young. I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I loved Dr. McHamm. He explained everything very well because I did not have any knowledge of cancer. I had stage IIII. He immediately began agressive chemo and in no time at all, the chemo shrank the tumor. I was very fortunate to have been able to have tolerated the chemo. I have been told I am a miracle. I believe this. Because of all of this, I would like to volunteer at one of the cancer treatment centers to give back if I can. The CoVid has taken care of that for now. I have often wondered where Dr. McHamm went! I wish him luck, and thanks for taking good care of me. I thank him and God. I had a lot of prayers.

2020 seeing Dr McHam for invasive carcinoma of the breast. I feel very secure in his knowledge and continues to run further testing for treatment! Compassionate Dr. Excellent compassionate nursing staff also.

The support staff, nurses and Dr McHam are to a person kind, caring and compassionate. It is obvious one of their goals is to make their patients comfortable. I feel blessed to be a patient there. FYI: they are very prompt to see you at your appointment time!

My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer stage 4. Wonderful doctors here treated her and she is remission. THANK YOU!!

Very professional.. friendly, family oriented. I received the best care. This was the first time that I have been here. I was very scared didn't know what to expect first time that I've ever been to a Cancer Center the staff made me feel very at home very relaxed they were very professional and I really thank them. ????????????

El mejor Dr del mundo el me guío en mi enfermedad con gran profesionalismo y una enorme calidad de ser humano. Inteligente porque me salvó la vida con calidad de vida,siempre atendió mis llamadas cuando me sentía mal y me medicaba para que mi malestar sesara.,cuando lo nesecito me pedía que fuera a urgencias el siempre preocupado y comprometido por su paciente.... Had me after I was diagnosed in 2012. His bedside manner is good but I thin they should have treated my right lung nodule that they weren't sure was cancer. I was staged at 3 but really should have been 4. The place he worked at the time, Cancer institute was fair but their financial department was a nightmare and very extreme. They refused me treatment because I had to pay on my account I didn't owe that much.
