This man treated me like a drug seeker when I was in surgical pain and also falsified my records. He should not have a medical license. Would not recommend for a dying cockroach.

Please save yourself the pain and suffering and do NOT go to this Doctor. Reviews calling him wonderful have got to be fake!!! If you haven't had a problem with him yet, you will! He fakes lab results, and then he and all the staff treat you like some kind of criminal. I was told, "lab tests don't lie!" They never complete the paperwork for "prior authorization" so expect to wait months for your prescription or not get it at all. He simply does not care. Dr. Epstein does not deserve even one star. I’ve been a patient of doctor Epstein for over 2 years now he has done everything he can do for me very professional office great staff.

Compassionate, patient centered care. Really keeps my pain under control while respecting my desire to avoid narcotics.

Very shoddy medical staff very rude. I would never recommend them. The whole place is shoddy

Was sent to Dr. Epstein by my primary care physician. it was a waste of my time and $50 He was very rude and condescending. And didn’t seem to listen or even care about my situation.

I am a retired registered medical assistant. I have worked for many awesome, caring, humble drs over the last 15 yrs of my career. I unfortunately cannot say any kind words regarding this individual. He is not only the worst dr I've ever come across, he also has the worst demeanor, attitude, energy I've ever encountered, from any human being. He is unbelievablely rude, unprofessional, inappropriate, and 100% incorrect when trying to access your medical ailments. Especially when previous drs have already confirmed your medical diagnoses. I do not recommend this poor excuse of a human being, nevermind dr, to anyone or any animal for that matter. Seriously his complete lack of compassion, and lack of self control over his emotions, is beyond alarming. He absolutely needs to retire and asap. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. If I could give him zero stars I would, but it made me put at least 1. He let my mediation lapse and I have been without my medication for a month. I made an appointment and paid him a month before my medication would expire so this wouldn’t happen, and he still took weeks to submit his approval for it, and let it expire. I was a loyal patient for 3 years, and I went to see him every 4 months. He refuses to speak to patients in the phone. I was told by his office that he only speaks to patients in person at an appointment (so he can get another copay). I still haven’t gotten my medication because of his delayed approval, and he never apologized or offered any remorse for his terrible medical care and blatant negligence. I did every single thing I needed to do to get my medication in a timely manner, and I was even a month early. The woman I spoke with at the office said to me, “I’m so sorry this is happening. If I could help you myself I would. This is wrong.” Listen to these many horrible reviews, and find someone else. Go to Scranton. Go ANYWHERE else. I wish I had listened to these reviews. I am a mother, and suffer from chronic pain every day, and he could care less to help me. My husband & I started seeing Dr. Epstein about 6 months ago, after being referred to him by 2 friends. We have each seen him 2 or 3x already and being perfectly honest, I have yet to see ANYTHING that people are complaining about. The staff is as friendly as can be & attentive! The office is clean & tidy & we have yet to walk into a crowded waiting room. When we call in for our refills, whether it's by phone or online, the refills are sent THE SAME DAY to our pharmacy. Whenever we call to speak with someone we either get Melissa on the phone IMMEDIATELY or we get a call back asap. We have never waited more than 15 min. to see Dr. Epstein. Is the man soft, squishy and hand holding for a Dr.? No. He IS polite, professional & he asks questions & listens. He has so far sent us for Xrays and MRI'S, done EMG tests right in his office & called us with our results before we had to call & ask. My husband's conditions are more severe then mine, but Dr. Epstein is doing all he can to narrow it down & get answers. He now has him set up to see an Ortho. If this office is getting bad reviews because you have to take a urine test, because you were taken off your medications, or you weren't following the rules please don't give a bad review because of that without saying it. I've personally had Melissa & the staff go out of their way to help me when they didn't have to. I make sure I call at least 72 hours prior to my refill date, I make sure I call at least 2 days in advance when I am able to if I have to change an appt, I show up a little early on my appt dates and I am always honest when speaking with Dr. Epstein. Some Dr. 's just do not have the time to have the best bedside manner, or just do not see a need for it. It shouldn't be taken personal IF he is still giving you care. When we go in (sometimes my husband & I in the same room) for our appointments he treats each of us seperately, with professionalism & politeness. I would recommend them to anyone that asks me. Spent more time in the waiting room, then seen him. As a cancer patient in remission dealing with radiation damage he didn't care. Will not go back not would I ever recommend. Oh and recommend his massage therapy at $75. Then made sure to note that I refused.

I have only seen him once but I find his staff and himself to be polite, kind, gentle and caring.

Great doctor. and his office people are great. Never waited any longer than any other doctors office. He takes good care of his patients and listens to what they have to say.

I was evaluated and received excellent care and epidural through Dr Epstein’s network. Cured a debilitating spinal condition. Highly recommend.

Well unfortunately I had to pick one making his rating higher than deserved.I was injured in the military they told me it was leg calves perthes disease. I went to 4 of our nations top military doctors for about 3 months I talked with them and they showed me on the xrays/mri's excetra. I then got home and was referred to this ....lack of a better phrase,he is a incompetent Dr with a gumball license. HE didn't even look at my xray because I didnt get one. He looks at me walking and said....nope nothing is wrong with you. I was not happy with his diagnoses as he spent less than 3 minutes to diagnose my bone issue. His anger in his voice grew because I told him no offense Doc Hollywood but my condition was diagnosed by our top military doctors doubting your professional opinion as it seems to me it is less than except-able. Doctors cannot see into your bones without an xray period. This guy has glasses like clark kent but he is a shameful version of super man with a piss poor attitude to boot. And he can't xray vision my hips sorry Scott the clown. Go back to ICP do all the drugs you want to with yourself and do your own thing. What a total .... He's only getting one star because I couldn't leave a review without one. This man and I used the phrase lightly has no compassion for pain so how he is considered the pain management for this area I don't know the hospital really needs to reassess who they give different titles to because this one's a joke. My husband is disabled since October of 2017 and has had two failed back surgery and and a failed shoulder surgery. He's in constant pain and the nerves in his spine travel down his legs and his legs are constantly in spasm. Scott's answer to this is Gabapentin which I had to suggest to begin with. That's great for the neurological issue but it does nothing for the pain that is caused from the neurological issue and he just doesn't care apparently my husband's just supposed to suck up the pain while he waits for the Gabapentin to do some kind of magical thing that it's not doing. Dr Scott has been amazing. I was very worried about seeing him based off of the reviews but he is the closest pain management doctor in the area. On my first visit he went over my records with me, joked around and was all together very nice and respectful. He listened very well to everything I said (very rare bc I'm covered in tattoos and have pink hair so they think I'm a junkie ????) we did a full drug test, paperwork and he ordered multiple tests for the next week. On my next visit he went over all of them and made a plan for me to at least be in less pain. When my insurance refused the migraine meds I needed he fought for me to get them and won. He is a sweetheart and very down to earth. I'm in my late twenties so as to the only 88 thing idk what that's about. My bf now sees him as well and has had a great experience as well. Great doctor! It was so disheartening to see these reviews when we were looking for a pain specialist. I'm glad we went anyway because these reviews couldn't be further from the truth. Dr. Epstein is a thorough pain specialist who listens and provides real solutions to pain issues. Just like one reviewer said, they just expect you to be courteous. And you can't be shopping for a doctor who is simply going to refill pain meds. Cause it just won't happen here. If you are looking for solutions to your pain issues and live in the area Dr. Epstein is the man. I would and do recommend him to everyone I know that needs pain management. Great doctor! This person (I will not call him a man) is inhuman, and cares nothing about patients or their comfort whatsoever. I deal with multiple different pain-causing illnesses, one of which is recurrent (4-6 a month) kidney stones. I hobbled into his office, and sat and waited. He came in, asked me to stand, and pushed down on the top of my head, asking if it hurt. I'd taken my pain meds about 2 hours prior, so it didn't hurt enough to say yes, just uncomfortable. He asked me then, to lift my right leg an inch off the floor - which I did, got off balance a bit, had to grab the counter, but held it about an inch off the floor, and he said "There's nothing we can do to help you." and started walking out of the office. I asked him how he could possibly determine the rest of my body's pain from that, he just repeated there was nothing they could do for me. I wanted to leap over the counter and.. well.. let's just say I haven't been that angry since USMC Basic Training at a specific Drill Instructor. This person should not even be called a doctor. He should have his license revoked, and his practice shut down. He clearly prejudged me because I had long hair at the time, and was still in decent physical upper body shape. Now it's about 8 years later, I've got more illnesses - some related to volunteering with the Red Cross at Ground Zero, some related to my car accident in 2000, and for almost 2 years now have basically been bed-ridden. The doctor I see out in Milford, who has been a life saver for me these past few years, the first doctor in Northeast PA that LISTENS, is now under 'attack' from the government with their new opiate rules, and will not be allowed to prescribe opiates to anyone without specific pain situations that need to be determined by, guess what - a PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR. He mentioned Dr Epstein, and I told him what happened, and he said he was surprised, because most of the patients he's sent to him were treated fairly and respectfully - however they were all in their 60's or above. I'm a 49 year old USMC Veteran, who can't get VA benefits. I refuse to see him again, because I can't promise my ability to hold back my anger and frustration from him, and I don't look good in orange. He's lucky I've never ran into him outside his practice, because I'd give him a piece of my mind for sure. Please - if you aren't in your 60's already, or aren't a terminal cancer patient, do NOT go to this doctor. He will assume you're just there for pills to get high with, and will not help you in any way. Also, I had my daughter and her Mother with me for the appointment, so if he (or anyone else) reads this and wants to try to argue it, or deny it, I've got two witnesses who heard every word he said and saw what he did. I'm only posting this to try to prevent someone else from going through the same disrespect, vilification, and denigration I went through from him. This Doctor is one to stay away from!!!!! At all costs!!! My 88 year old father was put in Good Shepherd rehab under Dr Epstein's care. My father had end stage heart failure and was trying to recover from bronchitis! They kept pushing him to do 1-2 hours of physical therapy a day when he was too weak to even sit up and breath! Dr Epstein then sent my father to an inpatient behavioral health unit in Easton, PA because he said he could not be released on Hospice care to us at home. He said his vitals were all good! That was not true! He just did not want to be dealing with him!! Well two weeks of pure hell in the behavioral unit with me trying to get him back home stressed my parents and our family out beyond what we could tolerate! The Easton hospital staff evaluated my dad the first day and said he should be home on hospice with his family!!!! So my dad spent the last two weeks of his life in a horrible way!!!! No TV, no family, could not even adjust his own bed! Staring at the wall for two weeks!!!!!!! He could not hear us on the phone as he was quite deaf!! I got him home and he died two days later!!!!! This Doctor is a very bad, unkind, uncaring moron!!!! Wayne Memorial needs to can him ASAP!!!! I would not take a opossum to him for care!!!! I've been going to Dr. Epstein for 2 years now and have never had a complaint.. His staff its polite and courteous and the Dr. himself is the same, he takes the time to listen to how you feel and will send for tests as soon as asked. I'd refer him to anyone needing a dr. of his nature.

Both Dr. Epstein and his entire staff were kind, courteous, compassionate, knowledgeable, and true professionals. My wife suffers from chronic back pain due to vertebral compression fractures, and also has dementia and memory loss. She hates seeing new doctors. Dr. Epstein immediately won her over, treating her kindly with good humor and dignity. We couldn't be more pleased and are so happy that we found him for her care.

Went to this idiot on advise from my primary doctor. Would not treat my condition, spent a total of 3 minutes in his office and charged me 170.00 for nothing. Would def NOT recommend. Not nice to boot. Read reviews elsewhere, he gets 1 star consistently. .

My fiance saw dr. Epstein for several months the due to blood clots in his legs and was up to 5 15 mg Percocets a day. He started a new sleep medication that we didn't know was a benzodiazepene so we were confused when we got a phone call saying his urinalysis came back bad. We missed the appointment (apparently to tell him he was no longer going to be seeing him) because I was in the emergency room (and have documentation to prove it) and they still refused to give my fiance any information or reschedule the appointment. We heard horror stories about him but everything was fine until this. Now my fiance has to go through horrible withdrawals because this is the only pain management doctor within 20+ miles.
