I was thrilled to get an appointment within 24 hours. Dr. Desman was punctual, straightforward and informative. He educated me on the possible diagnosis that I was facing. He also gave me pertinent information on what the next steps would be. Very pleased with the entire experience from the intake to X-ray to Dr. Desman’s evaluation. Highly recommend.

Came in with bilateral knee pain and received x-rays, injections and very explained diagnosis and treatment plan.

Knee surgery was successful! Healed beautifully!

Dr. Desmond did a wonderful job with my total posterior hip replacement. No issues whatsoever. I was 95% normal by 6 weeks.

The staff at South Florida Orthopedics and Dr. Desman have provided professional & caring treatment both before & after my knee replacement. If I continue to have issues with my knees I will certainly continue to seek out their services.

Dr. Desman did a partial knee replacement on my right knee 4 Years ago, and is now replacing my left knee. I know several people who Dr. Desman operated on, and all have good comments and results. I recommend him for anyone who needs knee surgery.

First off, I used the So. Florida Ortho website to schedule my appointment to see Dr. Desman. Logged in on Friday, March 10, appt confirmed for Tuesday, March 14. My other Dr. appointments are usually months of an opening. My appointment was for 1000. I arrived at the Stuart office around 0945. By 0958, I had already completed the intake, and x-rays of my knee were already taken. I was in the exam before 1000. Dr. Desman spent much time with me reviewing the x-rays and going over the plan of treatment. The BEST orthopedic doctor I have seen here in Florida.

Dr Desman performed total knee replacement on both of my knees within 6 mo of ea. other, @ their surgery center next door. I’m a 69 yr old female. I was immediately given PT both @ home (1st two wks) then @ So Fla Ortho 3rd fl. for 3 mo per knee. I followed all PT rigorously & today had my 1 yr followup on the 2nd knee. I can walk all day now @ theme parks, get in the floor with grandkids, skip, run, dance. No cane, no walker, no assistance needed @ all. Best I’ve felt in years!! Dr Desman is thorough, explains every detail & answers all questions to be sure you understand every step of the surgery & healing process. His entire team & the PT staff are beyond excellent. I would recommend Dr Desman to anyone.

Since I could not get an appointment with my doctor, Dr. Carlson, Dr Desman agreed to read my MRI. He was professional and efficient and I appreciated his taking time to see me. My appointments with Dr Carlson keep getting cancelled . Because of these cancellations I am no longer going to use South Florida Orthopedic for my knee surgery. I don’t trust them not to cancel the operation last minute

I was not looking forward to starting treatment on my deteriorating knees (ah! The joys of aging) but Dr Scott Desman and indeed almost the entire staff made the experience bordering on pleasant. Reception and check out were amiable, helpful and efficient. Dr Desman was very pleasant, PATIENT (I am extremely talkative when I'm nervous about pain, and had a lot of questions, ) and reassuring. He answered all my questions, described my options for treatment and the probable course & progression of my condition, and was a dab hand with a needle, I must say (older friends had scared me silly talking about how painful injections coukd be.) Really, the whole practice, which seems huge, was a nice surprise, (attractive surroundings, good guest Wi-Fi, sufficient seating in the waiting areas, elevator building.) My 2 tiny quibbles were an otherwise nice X-ray tech who didn't seem to understand that you can't leave someone who has trouble standing standing in an awkward position too long, and you can't suddenly stop short when leading someone who has trouble walking down the hole or into another room; & I do wish more people masked. But all in all, I highly recommend Dr. Desman, & will happily return if & when more treatment is needed.

I recommend Dr Desman to anyone who asks or needs knee or hip attention! He's been my physician/surgeon since 2015. Always kind and professional and keeps my knees in pain free, reasonable condition for their age. The entire office is friendly and competent. South Florida Orthopedics takes the time to me moving.

My last visit to the office was very pleasant as always. Todays visit though to Physical Therapy was a little different. Even though the country is standing down with wearing masks, they are not needed to be sardined on airplane anymore. One of the main receptionists in physical therapy has made it her mission to make sure everyone is wearing a mask, even though they keep the front doors wide open for ventilation, & I’m sitting in the waiting room for less the 5 minutes each time, before going in the back. I have been diagnosed with PTSD & keep my distance from people, so I don’t wear a mask, & don’t have a problem with others wearing their mask, if they feel it keeps them safe. That gets us to why are we wearing masks in an independent privately own medical building, & why are they following the practices of Cleavland Clinic when they are not associated with the hospital at all or in any way!? They deal with orthopedic injuries not illness or sickness & if you’re sick, stay home!!

I had a knee replacement five weeks ago and am walking well, doing steps easily and feeling stiff, but with little pain. I feel better than I did before the surgery.

I had a full knee replacement on my rt. knee on April 15th at the out patient surgical center. I was back home by 4 PM the day of my surgery. Dr. Desman and his team did an excellent surgical job with minimal scaring, They had a thorough followup for pain management, home nursing, and in home therapy. A week after surgery I did 10 days of therapy at So. FL Ortho. It has been almost 2 months since the surgery and I'm still on the mend, but I can ride a bike again, climb & decend stairs, and it's much easier getting in and out of a car. I can't say enough about the thouroghness of Dr. Desman, the Surgery Center and the So. FL Orthopaedic organization, from pre-op, surgery, therapy, and followup. Was very pleasant and efficient. From check in, the medical staff to check out. Dr Desman explained everything about up coming surgery and answered all my questions. He took his time and I never felt rushed.

Had 8 am appointment after taking an X-ray at 8:10 i was with Dr Desman at 8:15. I was very satisfied with his professionalism and my care

Was seen quickly and treated professionally. Office runs like a fine oiled machine. Called for appointment and was given one the same day, unheard of these days. Dr Desmond is the best, methodical, meticulous , patient and personable. He gets right to the issue and never makes me feel rushed. Outstanding surgeon.

I had knee pain following workout that persisted for several weeks. Following x-rays Dr Desman discussed the possible causes of the pain. Fortunately the knee joint is good and he gave a shot to reduce inflammation that has helped. I liked his straight forward and friendly approach.

Had severe shoulder pain on a previous rotator cuff that was repaired twenty years ago. Doc could see on the X-ray that it was completely disintegrated now. Got a shot which is helping but it takes a few days to kick in. Only another new shoulder will fix it. Going to try physical therapy first. Dr. Desman was patient and answered all my questions. Didn’t rush me out. I really felt good about the visit. Highly recommend.

Dr. Desman replaced my right knee on December 10th, 2021 and my left knee on February 4th, 2022. I finished all physical therapy March 11th, 2022. What an excellent job he and his staff did for me!! I wish I would have had them fixed years ago and saved myself a lot of pain and suffering! Its out patient procedure done at their surgery center away from any Covid filled hospital. I am currently knee pain free and couldn't be happier.

I couldn't find a better, more attentive orthopedic physician to treat my aging knees. One replacement down and hoping to avoid the other, but I'm in the best of hands with Dr Desman.

This surgery was a pleasant experience.All appointments were kept on time and recovery and PT went well.All this in Covid times.Went in at 6am walked out about 3 I think. Dr Desmans and his team did good job.

The office staff is pleasant and my most recent 4pm appointment was exactly on time which is very hard to do! I couldn't find a better, more attentive, competent orthopedic physician to treat my aging knees. One amazing replacement down and 6+ years out, but hoping to avoid the other. I'm in the best of hands with Dr Desman. Hands down should be top choice for your knees or hips.

My check in was fast and I was not kept waiting for my appointment. Dr Desman answered all my questions and gave me options moving forward.

Dr. Desman did a total left knee replacement on Sept. 30 as outpatient surgery due to no cartilage left in both knees. My recovery (67 yr old) has been excellent. No walker within 4 days, by Nov. 12th no use of a cane & continue PT exercise 3x/wk for strength training & flexibility. PT staff have been great to work with me in-house & provide at-home exercise sheets. I highly recommend Dr. Desman! Now I need the schedule staff to call me back to schedule the right knee replacement in March.

The office is super organized & efficient. Dr. Desman is excellent and has a decent sense of humor (rare in medical folks). Dr. Desman took the time to explain all of the options available for my knee pain. I chose to have a cortisone injection in the joint. So far so good. I would highly recommend Dr. Desman & his office staff for this type of procedure.

Dr. Scott Desmond is one of the best Orthopedics in the Treasure Coast probably throughout Florida. He cares about his patients and well-being and really helps you to understand what is going on. Recommend him highly and their entire practice

Very good initial visit with Dr. Desman. In and out of the appointment quickly. Dr. Desman listened and performed a thorough examination of my problem knee. Ordered a MRI for further follow up. I would recommend Dr. Desman.

Straight up and honest. Didn’t try to sell me on surgery or shots. Told me what he saw and my options, including homeopathic. Very professional operation with quick appointments and walk in if needed.

November 2020 I had a total knee ( right) replacement at the Treasure Coast Surgery Center, Dr Desman doing the Surgery. September 2021 I had the same surgery on my left knee at the same surgery center also by Dr Desman. I am pleased to say everything went well. The Surgery center and staff, took very good care of me, before, during and after surgery. Dr Desman and staff answered all my questions and there were numerous. Having kept up most of my exercise routines ( except walking) prior to surgery , along with doing all the PT required after surgery, helped with my recovery. Both times, I was walking without the walker, in the first week (don’t tell the doctor) Finally after two years of no beach walks I am back on the beach. Life is good…so glad I made the right decision, by choosing a Dr that has such high regards for the well being of his patient. Thank you everyone who made it possible.

Big, busy office but ran like clockwork. I was taken in early, had X-rays, and was sitting in the exam room ahead of schedule. Dr Desman was great - listened and answered my questions, explained things very clearly to me. I was very pleased with the whole visit and would recommend him highly

My husband saw dr. Desman this morning because of hip pain. He read my husbands x-ray and examined the range of motion of his left hip. It was decided that he would try medicine to control the pain. If the pain continues he will have the hip injected. Dr. Desman explained everything. We would highly recommend him.

I made an appointment for the next day and they accommodated me for a leg injury. Staff is excellent and highly professional. Very well organized and spotlessly clean office. Dr. Desman saw me within a few minutes of arriving. Reviewed my X-rays and saw no fracture, but recommended a mini- MRI. I was in and out in less than an hour.
