Best doctor ever.cares about her patients

Dr. Lai truly cares about her patients and their families. She takes the time to explain everything and answer questions. She is extremely knowledgeable, and I felt confident in her when she operated on my child.

The hospital is aesthetically pleasing. While the staff was exceptional with their care and timing. My family and I are forever grateful

Dr. Lai came into our lives during a very scary time. My son came into the hospital with something we thought was minor but turned major. Dr. Lai performed emergency surgery on my son and did a wonderful job in a very emergent surgery. She spoke to me very clearly and calmly and continued to check on my son after surgery. We are so thankful she was on that night. While we maintain our general surgeon for my son with her coworker Dr. Shipman, Dr. Lai is a great, intelligent individual that anyone would be lucky to have as their surgeon. Dr Lai is incredible. She was so friendly and did an amazing job of communicating the entire procedure with us beforehand and check in on us after our baby's procedure. We are very grateful for her expertise and how well she took care of our son.

Dr Sarah Lai is great! Our 4 year old had an unexpected issue and my pediatrician recommended Dr. Lai. During the exam she was thorough, patient, had a great bedside manner with my hesitant child and answered all questions. It was easy scheduling a surgery with her, the procedure went perfectly, she explained exactly what was done and provided helpful pictures so we could understand the repair. Dr Sarah was amazing with my 18 month old who needed an inguinal hernia repair. 18 months is DEFINITELY temper tantrum stage. She wanted nothing to do with nurses or doctors. Dr Sarah Lai did a graceful job of working with me and my daughter mid temper tantrum for her first Appt. She mentioned she also has a baby girl my daughters age and she totally understood. So I didn’t feel as embarrassed. On the day of her surgery, she was a welcome comforting presence and took such good care of my baby girl. She even brought me pictures post-op (which works great for me to process!). My daughter is only a few months post op and she already has NO SCAR! I am so grateful for Dr Lai. Dr Lai performed surgery on my daughter and was terrific! She provided me with a full review of the operation and answered all of our questions.

Absolutely amazing Surgeon. She goes above and beyond for her patients. Our family will always go to her first for any surgery. She took care of our son as if he were her own. Dr Lai is amazing and has taken her time to explain what she was doing and reasons behind her choices. We can't say enough about how fantastic Dr Lai is and how she saved our son several times. She has been our son's surgeon for his cancer from the beginning and even came in on her day off to do an emergency surgery. Dr Lai is truly one in a million.

Dr. Lai took care of my grandson with a professional confidence and assurance, which made an invasive thoracic surgery as routine as possible. I was a dentist in Westminster for 51 years and recognized how exceptional she was in every respect Thank you so Very much Doctor Lai.

We highly recommend Dr. Sarah Lai as an outstanding pediatric surgeon. Our son's excavatum was severe, and Dr. Lai provided us with extensive knowledge and compassion throughout the process. We are currently on day 12 after surgery and our son is doing very well, his chest looks amazing, but I want to add that even on day 2 after the procedure, his pain was down to a '0' or '1'. We feel so fortunate to have had her expertise as our son's surgeon. She has changed his life forever.

We feel so fortunate to have had Dr. Sarah Lai as our son's surgeon for the Nuss procedure. We live in Hawaii, however, we came to Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital because our son's excavatum condition was severe and we had heard very good things about this hospital and the pediatric surgeons. Dr. Lai has exceeded all of our hopes--before, during and after surgery. We are so thankful to Dr. Lai for the knowledge and compassion which she has shared with us before and after the surgical procedure, and also, perhaps even more significantly, her expertise as a surgeon. Although our son's case was quite severe, the results have been astonishing. Our son was delighted to feel the complete correction to his chest right after surgery. By the second day following surgery, he was experiencing a "0" or "1" on the pain scale. Dr. Lai has offered to us a change which will affect our son's entire life, and we are so grateful and offer her our highest recommendation and our deepest thanks.

She is very kind, professional, competent, and genuine. She also has a good reputation with the nurses, which is also important. Thank you very much for taking care of my daughter. We appreciate your skill more than you know!

Would highly recommend Dr. Lai. She made me feel better about the procedure my daughter needed when her appendix bursted. I’m thankful my daughter was in good hands. Post surgery my daughter has recovered quickly and is no longer in any pain. Dr. Lai explained everything with great detail. She knows exactly what she is doing. She answered all our questions and checked up on our daughter post surgery. So thankful for Dr. Lai!!
