Did not like her approach. Made a hasty diagnosis based in barely seen a child. Do not recommend her.
The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Dr. Cheyette spent the better part of the consultation peddling her book, she did very little to help and didn't seem to care about my daughters ADHD. She said that her book would help and that we should go buy it. Then .. she billed us several hundred dollars for the appointment! She is an abominable doctor and has no business practicing medicine. I now see there are many other poor reviews about her, and frankly I am surprised she has not had her license revoked. Stay away at all cost!
Sarah Cheyette is insensitive, incompetent, and completely lacks compassion. She should not be working with young children in particular. She checked her email actively during what was supposed to be a clinical examination. She made off-topic remarks about my child. She was dismissive and uncaring. Such people do not belong in the medical profession.
I’m not a current patient of Dr. Cheyette, but she was my neurologist as a kid when I was diagnosed with epilepsy. She was extremely knowledgeable, was fun, gave me hope that I might grow out of my epilepsy (and I thought I had! Until I had a seizure at work last month!!), and she got me on a great maintenance dose of medication that controlled my seizures for as long as I took it. After she moved to California, I continued seeing a neurologist in Washington, and I’ll see another one now, but Dr. Cheyette was a very bright spot during a dark time. To this day my memories of her are quite fond. She is a great blessing to all those suffering from neurological disease. You’re wonderful, Dr. Cheyette!
