Self-righteous, arrogant, and unprofessional. Don’t even bother.

Dr. Chandragiri is kind, professional, knowledgeable and a very good doctor. He listens when you speak with him and offers potential solutions. I find his approach to be very calming, patient and friendly - all excellent qualities in a medication management psychiatrist. I hope to maintain a productive doctor/patient relationship with him for as long as I require treatment.

He text the entire duration of my 4 minute session. Asked me if I plan to harm myself and then said he was doubling my antidepressant prescribed by my family dr. I told him I was there for talk therapy, he replied to pick up the medication and I was ushered out.

Without eloquence I will simply say Dr. Chandragiri is rude, unkind, and arrogant.

Worst "doctor" I have ever had an appointment with. He turned on me as soon as I mentioned ADHD, tried to tell me you outgrow it (you don't, look it up), yelled at me, and then HUNG UP on me. The most unprofessional doctor I have ever experienced. Two months to get into see this terrible human being. The office blew me off for my first appointment and tried to claim that they called me. They definitely did not and tried to blame me. Then my appointment before he decided to yell at me, was supposed to be telemedicine as my voicemail said (that was somehow my fault too) but they thought I was coming in and did not send me the link. I had to call them 5 minutes before my appointment. Seems like this office knows that Scranton doesn't have a lot of mental health services and they don't care if you like them. Became pt of this person upon admission to GCMC Scranton, PA behavioral Heath Unit. He decided on course of TX based on tx received at Danville Geisinger 6-7 yr prior when I experienced severe depression due to bad marriage, lack of sleep, failing physical health and pain due to needing bilateral knee and hip, and having with no insurance. Even then they didn't look or care as to cause of depression. I received extended course of ECT which is nothing to alleviate my physicalwhich did nothing to alleviate my physical problems but they released me after these but they released me after these 11 to 12 ECT s.. this doctor decided to go with that course of action and like Danville Geisinger decided to go with that course of action and like Danville Geisinger did not care as to what the central cause of my depression was did not care as to what the central cause of my depression was. Again I was in a situation where I had not slept for more than 3 hours at a time Again I was in a situation where I had not slept for more than 3 hours at a time for three to four months, my partner was allowing diabetes 2 to run rampant (500 blood sugar level) giving him failing eyesight, clouded judgement, severe water retention. I wanted to call 911 but he threatened me and refused to communicate. I was beside myself, losing hope. Instead of helping me help him he had me committed for 72 plus hr, taken by police to hospital because he was unsure of what to do. Upon arrival, after 20 hr in ER I was admitted to behavioral floor. This Dr. saw me, asked me nothing much of what led me to the state of depression I found myself in - seeing no hope for me, partner or granddaughter. He looked up Geisinger, Danville course of action and decided to administer ECT. I was in a shaky state, no sleep, experiencing psychosis due to this lack of rest and isolation on my partners behalf. I was given no choice by this doctor but to agree to ECT tx. I informed him my prior experience left me with more than 10 yr memory loss and I was dubious. I am a counselor. I know I needed sleep so I slept almost continuously for 14 days, needing very little nourishment. I Endured 3 ECT tx. By day 14. Was refreshed from sleeping and self examination of my situation at home and there. I saw Dr. on day 14, refreshed, clear headed and ready to return to my living situation. He refused to release me insisting on a 4th tx. I told him why I didn't want or need a 4th tx., my memory at that point was good but I didn't want further tx. citing severe memory loss as a result of Danville tx's. He refused to release me unless I agreed to 4th tx. I again endured it but from this final tx I have severe retrograde amnesia, severe short term and long term memory deficits. Where I saw this Dr. In his office 2 weeks later, I tried to talk to him and express concerns but he was only interested in giving me 15 min, then bill me. I was placed on remeron and ambien sleep but experienced terrible pain in joints, legs and feet swelling, muscle pain. I called ofc after 2 weeks on this remeron (side effects of this med can be those I was experiencing, wanting a different antidepressant) he refused and told receptionist to have me contact primary physician as couldn't be remeron. I have reduced it by 50% and gave great relief from this debilitating pain. I am experiencing some physical withdrawal but am getting off this drug This Dr. Has no time, no compassion, no interest in his patients. Dr. Try and remember, "First Do No Harm". Go back to med school. If I could give him 100 negative ratings I would.

This address is wrong. Correct address is 1141 Clay Avenue, suite 2, Dunmore , PA 18510. Despite numerous requests, Google refuses to correct this. Many patients have gone to the wrong address and missed their appointments as a result of this error.

This address is incorrect. Dr. Chandragiri is no longer affiliated with Clarks Summit State Hospital. This error has caused multiple people to go to the incorrect facility and miss scheduled appointments. The correct address is 1141 Clay Ave Suite 2 Dunmore, PA 18510.
