Dr. Sandra Makkar

Dr. Makkar went out of her way to fully explain the procedure and technology being used. She was diligent about ensuring my comfort and had a great overall demeanor.

Dr. Makaar is excellent. She is extremely gentle and precise. She has saved many of my teeth. She is a compassionate superb endodontist. You will really feel like she is there for you and does her utmost. She takes her time to get things right; no rushing. She explains everything so well, listens to you and will never be dismissive of your painful symptoms. I wouldn't go to any other endodontist.

My experience with Dr. Makkar was beyond excellent. She was soft spoken, calm, and explained everything. I tend to get dental office anxiety, But not under her care for my root canal. I will go back to her if needed- and would give her 100 stars if I could!

Dr Makkar and her staff Paula and Anna are great they are very friendly and personable ,and professional. I've had 2 root canals done here and they both have been painless and done very well.I would recommend Dr Makkar and her office to anyone who needs work done and wants it done and to have it painless

I needed my first root canal and was not to excited about it. I didn’t want to do a review until it was completed. Today I had the second part done. Now I feel safe saying it was not one percent as bad as I thought it would be. Fantastic doctor made me feel very comfortable through both visits. No pain. Seriously just the Novacaine needle to numb things up. Great dental assistants and front desk staff. Beautiful office. Thank You I needed my first root canal and was not to excited about it. Dr Makkar is great ,very personable ,and professional. i've had two root canals done and i'm satisfied with her work .paula and anna on her staff are great also very friendly and personable . top notch practice would recommend to everyone. no pain involved with any work done .

I had a terrible experience with Dr Makkar. She used a solution in my root canal that caused a severe burning sensation and when I alerted her , she downplayed it & said it would end soon. It kept getting worse & she did not respond except to repeat it would get better. I have a high pain threshold ; but this was terrible. Tears were pouring out of my eyes. She kept minimizing my extreme pain despite it all, describing it as an irritation. I said she she should have warned me this could happen. Why would they use a substance that can cause such severe reaction? This is a very expensive procedure & to be subjected to this which is described as painless is ludicrous & unacceptable. Recently had my first ever root canal and Dr. Makkar and her staff at the Danvers office made it very easy and painless! Very friendly and pleasant. She explained everything she was doing as she proceeded. Her office followed up with a phone call the next day and she followed up with a letter shortly afterwards. I highly recommend her. I have had several root canals in the past few years with Dr. Makkar. Some of have been fairly routine, a couple were tricky. I've never had any pain during or after, her procedures. I've been to other endodontists but she is the only person I will let work on me now. If I move out of the area, I will make a point to come back here when I need endo services. She is very kind, caring and respectful. Explains everything she is doing and answers all questions such that a lay person can understand. I also love that she presents options. I had one dentist tell me I needed a tooth pulled and an implant done. Since Dr. Makkar had worked on that tooth at one point, I took a chance and went back to her. She gave me 3 options, all of which would save the tooth. I chose one, tooth is saved, no nonsense and a fraction of the expense. I wish she could be my regular dentist! She's incredible. Dr. Makkar is genuinely warm and puts you right at ease. I did not feel a thing. Highly, highly recommend her.

I have unfortunately needed multiple root canals. I have fortunately been able to schedule Dr Makkar for each. She makes a relatively scary experience almost pleasant. Her manner and concern with the patients comfort first and foremost is obvious. I have referred others and will continue to do so.

She inspired absolute confidence in me as a patient. Told me exactly what would happen and explained everything very simply and clearly. Super experience.
