Dr. Freedman has been taking care of my son for 4 years now. Diagnosed Hashimotos thyroid. Has straightened out his thyroid issue. Has always been patient with him, explained the disorder, medication s, has always looked for the best care for him. Also has been great in explaining to me all things associated. We will miss him bc my son is 20 now. The staff had been very personable & helpful with us. Even if myson can't get another appt. with endocrinologist for adults, Dr. Freedman said he would see him again. Not to worry about it. I need to give Dr Freedman 5 stars, he is a very good doctor...But the person who's answering the phone calls at front desk, is extremely rude with ugly-disgusting attitude, very unprofessional. EVRYTIME I called to ask something important, and she answered... when she answered.. (is always the same person very RUDE)... she never ever help us with an answer, she always says something rude and stupid, this make you thing why she is working there??... she should not work in medical office in special with childrens. The other nurses and personal was very nice and professional. So sorry Dr Freedman that you are not seeing this, and this person is make your good reputation going down the hill.

Dr. freedman never rushes us during our appointment. He is very caring and thorough. His office staff is friendly and helpful!!

My child is 16 and dealing with depression. His psychiatrist suggested getting bloodwork to check thyroid hormone levels. We did and the TSH levels were below normal so we scheduled an appointment with Dr Freedman. I completed all of the paperwork and consent forms online, or so I thought. When we arrived for the appointment and were brought into a room to see the doctor but first a nurse asked me to sign one more consent form to allow a pelvic exam. Although I can understand why a doctor who specializes in growth and development issues might want to check the pelvic and chest areas but there has to be other less invasive ways to check development. There should be other options for minors that would be traumatized by having an adult male look down their pants. I also wish this form was included in the online paperwork to save us the trip to his office.

I'm 17 and he's been my endocrinologist for several years. I've never had any issues with the treatment I've received and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an endocrinologist. Also, his office staff are very nice and friendly.

We have our appointments in Boca and the office staff are amazing and everything moves quickly. I've been going for a few years now and treatment has been really good, I'd recommend him to others.

I wouldn't go anywhere else! It took me going through four different doctors before we found Dr. Freedman. All the others just dumped my son on medication but Dr. Freedman looked for the root of the problem. Now I bring my twin girls as well. Dr. Freedman gives me a peace of mind that my kids are well cared for and going to be fine. And on top of that is staff is exceptional.

Dr. Freedman and his staff offer the highest level of care with professionalism and kindness. We are always greeted with a smile when we arrive at the office. Dr. Freedman went above and beyond getting a diagnosis for kids. when other doctors wanted to just dump them on medication for their hypothyroidism Dr. Freedman to more test to find the cause of it. Knowing the root made it easier to make lifestyle adjustments to go along with their medical treatment and they are happier and healthier for it.

Over the last 23 years Dr Freedman has treated me, my daughter, and now my granddaughter. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and quite possibly the most caring physician we have ever had care for our family. I have recommended friends to him and they too are extremely happy with his treatment of their child.

My son had a medical condition being managed by another pediatric endocrinologist, who suddenly decided to retire. Our pediatrician referred us to Dr Samuel Freedman. He realized that although my son was being managed reasonably, he was on a medication that was not appropriate for him, and adjusted his treatment. Dr Freedman has managed my son for several years and he has already achieved good results. Thank you very much for helping my son Dr. Freedman.

Called to reschedule my daughter (our appt.was in Boca) because she had Covid and they refused to reschedule it in the Boca office where the initial appt. was. They said I had to go to Pembroke. Won't be using this doctor.

Issues with communication!! This review is directly related to the performance of his employees rather than his own. Following many wasted years with an incompetent physician, I switched my son to Dr. Freedman. My son was 14 years old and was tracking below the 5th percentile for height. Dr. Freedman evaluated the situation and immediately changed medications. Visiting quarterly to monitor and adjust care as needed, my son at age 19 was 5' 10". Given the social and medical implications, Dr. Freedman confidently and reassuringly guided the medical care that determined my son's successful gain in height. Dr. Freedman has been treating my son for a little over 1 year now. My son started to struggle with his height at around 5 years old. Dr. Freedman is very thorough before, and during the growth hormone treatment which I appreciate how he continuesly has him do routine labs to insure he is growing healthy. He has taken my son to a whole different level in which he now has self confedence (which he lacked due to the fact that his younger brother is much taller then him), is much happier and enjoys the new cloth as he grows out of continuesly. I had appointments with 5 doctors before I found him. He was the only doctor that believed me when I said I though something was not quite right. He just told me "if there is something wrong rest assure we will find it". He is concerned about a kid as a whole person. He pays attention on every detail. So be prepared to do a LOT of tests and, believe me, if there is something wrong he will find it for sure. He's been treating my daughter for almost 2 years now with success. He is very knowledgeable and caring. Oh, he is also funny!

I would not recommend this Dr to anyone. He was very rude to my son saying that my 14 year old is done growing and said that my 6 year old is so tall for his age becausehe is going through puberty (AT AGE 6 )? He made jokes about his primary Dr saying that he can't give you good advice about height because he is the same height as danny devito. What does that have anything to do with my son. Dr.Samuels is an excellent Dr. My son and daughter have both been under his care for a number of year's. He is caring and understanding. We would recommend him to anyone. His office staff is also very helpful and friendly.

We were referred to Dr. Freedman by my daughter's internist; it just so happens both my internist and another friend also have gone to him for their children's needs. We saw him this morning, and we were so grateful to have someone who was so thorough: he asked comprehensive questions, reviewed my daughter's 5 year's worth of medical records, and never rushed us. He took the time to explain medical jargon, and even gave me, her mother, things I should ask my own doctor about my own health. We felt like someone finally took my daughter's concerns seriously, and he even said that he lives by the code of listening to the parents who know their children best. Dr. Sam Freedman is an outstanding clinician. I am a physician as well, and I can recognize an excellent doctor when I see one. Dr. Freedman is extremely knowledgeable in his field and beyond, thorough in taking a history and doing physical examination, thoughtful in his approach to diagnosis and treatment, and communicates respectfully and well with his patients and their families. Most important, his care is effective. He treated all three of our children and all of them are thriving and well!

I took my daughter to see Dr Freedman on a referral by a friend. He was friendly and knowledgeable and his office staff was amazing from the very first visit. While I was there with my daughter I opened the discussion to some issues I had had with a previous endocrinologist and my son regarding small stature. He told me to make an appointment and bring him in immediately and he would look at him. He took both of my children made sure that he examined them and tested them and offered me every option in which he could help them. My daughter was younger and smaller so was approved immediately. Dr Freedman has been caring for our son since he was 6. He is a wonderful doctor. He makes sure all our questions are answered, gives us real answers and expectations. He interacts well with our son, joking, asking him questions, not just related to his health but life in general. I would recommend Dr Freedman 100%

Dr. Freedman is fabulous! Do your research, folks!! Initially, I failed to research and simply went where I was directed by the pediatrician. Prior to seeing Dr. Freedman, my son was being treated for growth concerns by another endocrinologist in P. Pines. For almost a year we saw this endocrinologist —paying out of pocket for injections with ZERO results—and the window of opportunity to elicit change was quickly closing. I finally sought a second opinion with Dr. Freedman. The difference between two endocrinologists was incredible! Dr. Freedman listened to our concerns and completely changed the treatment approach, which has made ALL the difference! AND, I am no longer paying out of pocket for the medication. There are not enough words to properly thank you, Dr. Freedman! You and your staff are wonderful.

WASTE OF MONEY AND TOTAL DISRESPECT. Our primary care doctor referred my little sister to an endocrinologist because she is experiencing the symptoms of Hashimoto's. He asked what sort of symptoms she currently has and she let him know hair loss has been ongoing (you know, not to mention her blood tests and biopsies and numerous doctor visits). Rather than treating her with kindness and respect, she asked this young girl "Do I look like the kind of doctor that deals with hair loss?" When asked about whether it would be safe to vaccinate her, he said he doesn't know because he's not an expert in immunology. This visit brought my sister (WHO IS A MINOR) and my non-native speaking mother zero information. I'm sure this doctor would claim he's not a "doctor or expert in kindness" to excuse his behavior, but his bedside manners and doctor-patient communication is severely lacking. My teen age son was referred to Dr Freedman due to an abnormal test result. Upon meeting Dr Freedman he was inquisitive as to our medical history combined with the abnormal test result. In his explanation to focus on a diagnosis, he explained his treatment. Dr Freedman made it very clear, “his goal is to treat his patient, not an abnormal test.” I was pleasantly surprised by his willingness to go beyond tests and focus on the specific needs of treating my son. I asked various questions based on my own research through the internet. I admit, some of my questions may have been a bit cumbersome, but Dr Freedman took the time to answer them. My son who is an aspiring physician asked more questions than me and he was treated with respect and given attention with detailed responses. My son is under the care of Dr Freedman and my family is grateful as to the expertise, wisdom, professionalism and understanding of him and his entire staff. This was our first visit. Our very first contact at the office was a staff member who was obviously too busy to greet us. She opened the door, ( we were waiting outside because of Covid protocols) called the patient that had arrived before us, looked at me and very abruptly said, “name?” “What time’s your appt?” I answered & she said “that’s impossible, hold on” and closed the door. I should have left at that moment but I persevered because I drove a distance. The doctor was arrogant, critical of my daughter’s previous doctor (unprofessional) and he wasn’t interested in listening to anything I had to say. Also, a pediatric specialist should at least pretend to like kids. I am not a confrontational person so I just stuck it out and when I left I knew I would never go back. I know it’s stressful to work in a medical office right now, especially in Boca raton, but there is no excuse for coming at a new patient with irritation left over from previous interactions with other patients.

I took my son to him for a second opinion for late onset CAH. I had my son entire chart with me which he said has nothing, I reviewed and all labs and doctors notes were included(I am a physician myself)/ He told us to get more information about his medical history/chart and go back. I asked him to order what is necessary and start over as he thinks appropriate, with of course all labs and bone age CDs and reports. He didn't do, I wasted time and money to go to his office. I have not seen a physician anywhere like that!

My son was a patient of Dr. Freedman's for approximately 3 1/2 years. He monitored him and when the time was right he was tested and ultimately completed a regimen with excellent results. His staff was very professional and did not have a turn over while we were there and they have been with him for years. When the time was right he completed his treatment. He is a very competent doctor and I highly recommend him. I am a nurse practitioner and I could not have been more pleased with Dr. Freedman.

For example, on my second visit, I waited 75 minutes, while all the patients before and after me were called. They said they misplaced my chart.
