I cannot say enough good things about this Dr. hands down the best Dr I've ever had. She was my Dr for approx 9 yrs, patient, kind, caring, thoughtful, truly cares for her patients. She treated me for a type of cancer that is a blood cancer & the only reason I'm not still with her is because my insurance chg'd & they changed to being under the Northside Hosp billing, I was so sad for having to find a new Oncologist. I would not recommend this doctors office to anyone. They have effectively killed my grandpa-in-law through their poor handling of his cancer treatment. He went for a consultation after a very small mass was found near his heart. Dr. Tanna said they would “monitor” it. A month later we were told that it was too big at this point and that if it had been caught sooner, it was, we could have done something. We were offered injections and told that Chemo wasn’t an option. The injections have done nothing. We went to Cancer Treatment Center and were told that we could do Chemo, and that the injections were not a good idea. The chemo could have helped more had Dr. Tanna suggested them first. Dr. Tanna hasn’t even contacted us, or been helpful. All communication has been initiated by us, even when we were told they would contact us. Tl;dr: Inept office, doctors, and staff. Do not go here. Dr Tanna takes care of my 86 year old mom. She is amazing! Her cancer was hard to find and Dr Tanna did not give up on her. I can’t tell you how much she means to our family! This practice is awesome!

Dr Tanna treated my father when he was diagnosed with colon cancer. I found her to be knowledgeable and have an amazing bedside approach with my father, who can be challenging at times. As an RN I tend to be very critical of less than excellent care and I found Dr Tanna to be exceptional and fabulous, my father has continued his followup care since his diagnosis with her. I would NOT recommend using this Oncologist Facility. They are inept and unorganized. One of our many bad experiences began with the lack of instruction and explanation of the procedures of chemotherapy treatments for my mother. The infusion nurse had to go over very quickly as the treatment began what was going to happen- "a crash course"- she said. My mother's port hadn't been accessed, and they had failed to write a prescription beforehand for the numbing cream so my mother endured a lot of pain as they pushed a needle through her skin without any medication. The infusion/chemo room is overly-crowded......we had to wait 2 hours past our appointment time to even be admitted back to the infusion room....over-scheduling of patients, inadequate instruction, and a lack of explanation of procedures. Sadly, my mother passed away after her first treatment and even after informing this office of her death and cancelling all future appointments-two weeks later I still received reminders of her appointments. I called again to inform them of the cancellations and the receptionist exclaimed that she didn't even know that my mother had died! I am only writing this review to try to save future patients and their loved ones the heartaches and hardships we endured in an already difficult time. I am not a patient of Dr. Tanna. I was allowed to sit with my wife during her consultation. We were anxious and hoping for encouraging news. Dr. Tanna carefully and thoughtfully explained why my wife was referred for consultation. She even illustrated some elements of the immune system explaining what they are supposed to do and why my wife's blood test showed what they did. She reassured us that there was no reason to be alarmed. She explained how the monitoring would work over the next 6 months and why it was important. We left encouraged with fewer questions and lower anxiety. Dr. Tanna is a model for what all physicians should be like. I highly recommend her if you have Oncology concerns. Dr. Tanna was thorough and took the time to explain the medical concerns. She used language that was easily understood to a person that is not familiar with the medical terminology. She was not in a rush and showed genuine concern.

I went in after reading all these stories on line saying I was a dead man .SHE HAS helped me really understand my cancer what her plan for my recovery was , she is a very caring person and it shows ,she has returned a peace of mind for me and now I look forward to watching my grandson grow up

my mother has been a patient for the past few years and DR.Tanna is just a very pleasant and great doctor my mother loves her.

My experience with Dr. Tanna has been excellent. She is a very caring person that is willing to explain my condition to me and my wife and answer questions as needed. She has been willing to work with other specialist to determine the right level of care. She has called me and my wife several times to go over lab numbers that were significant. I would recommend her to anyone with a blood disorder.

Dr Tanna is extremely knowledgeable and caring. Leaves no stone unturned In treating you. She is simply one of the best Drs I have ever encountered. Highly recommend!!
