Yes, he was open to questions and gave very good explanations. He always gave me an opportunity to ask another question if I needed to ask. He was kind and seemed concerned about my welfare.

Dr. Merkow was very professional. He explained my diagnosis and discussed his surgical plan for me. He took his time and answered all my questions/concerns. I highly recommend him.

Nice person and did a great job ed

Had surgery for liver cancer, and installed pump direct to liver to continue chemo. Dr Merkow takes the time to explain everything and answer all questions, if you don't quite understand everything he will take the time to understand it all. Would highly recomend Dr Merkow

I recently saw Dr. Merkow and would give him the highest rating possible. While many doctors are intelligent in their field of practice, he rises above the rest in his complimentary inter-personal skills & overall patient care. He is articulate, professional, caring and thorough. He is also complimented by an impressive supporting staff. I would strongly recommend him to anyone in need of this specialized medical service. He would serve as an excellent mentor to others in this field.

I have met with plenty of doctors over the years, and Dr. Merkow is the best doctor I have met so far. He takes time to explain every detail, is clearly dedicated to each patient way beyond the norm, and leaves no detail out in his thorough and thoughtful analysis. Because he is doing both research and practice, he is knowledgeable about new treatments and tests, and he gave me great tips about how to get through everything.
