Dr. Russell Kiser II

Got a cap done approx 4 years ago and it's already failed. A partial i received after being custom molded to the area it sits has caused enough damage and other tooth movement resulting in me needing a lot more dental services just to fix the damage done. Services are overpriced compared to other local offices. If you overpay your share after insurance they attempt to keep the money "on your account" without actually notifying you or you agreeing to it.

I can say I actually I always get so anxious about the dentist and Dr Kiser and his staff were exceptional in all areas about making me comfortable, no pain, and a great job done. Highly recommend him as your favorite dentist ????

I recently visited Dr. Kiser's office in Mansfield and was truly impressed by the personal touch they provided. Their office is well equipped with modern equipment, and I could feel the caring environment as soon as I stepped into the room. My dental experience at this office was nothing short of excellent, and I look forward to returning regularly for future visits.

I had a great experience with Dr. Kiser. I am always very anxious at the dentist and he did a great job in making me feel comfortable and anxiety free! Highly recommend them to anyone who has anxiety about a dentist.

I’ve been going here my whole life. Every time I walk in the door, I’m recognized & welcomed. The staff here are so nice and do a great job taking care of my teeth. Dr. Kiser does both endodontics and implants, and it’s so convenient to be able to see the same doctor for both. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I visited their office in Mansfield and it was really professional. Dr.Kiser was knowledgeable and very informative. The entire office was very up-to-date with modern equipment and it has such a pleasant environment. Dr.Kiser really loves what he does. Would not recommend. He said sedation was mandatory for a root canal to make an extra $400. Wouldn't let me go with just local anesthetic. He also wanted a crown on another tooth and to do another 4 fillings. Second opinions from TWO other area professionals determined that was not necessary at all. I didn't even hint at Dr. Kisers name and they already knew who I was talking about, that's a huge red flag if other professionals knew who I referred to with no prior knowledge that I was talking about Dr. Kiser. This confirmed my suspicions about him. I'm not here to smear this man, this is exactly what google reviews are for. In fact the ladies at the office were nice and the hygenist who took care of me was the best I've ever had, hands down! However, I had a bad feeling about him and just would like to warn others to be extra cautious about coming here. Maybe he does great work, I wouldn't know and don't care to find out. But maybe the 40 plus mainly useless certificates in his reception area mean he's more concerned about his image than my dental health and letting his work speak for itself. Or compensating for inferior work. Again, not a smear.. Just an honest review from an educated consumer. It seems to me that anyone who constantly mentions how many "thousands" of patients he has pleased wouldn't have to mention that because his work speaks for itself. I believe the people that work there are more about the money then the pain ur going through, not real friendly .You have to pay up front ur patient responsible part is. I have been going to Dr. Kiser for the past several months and I have had a very experience with his office. Dr.kiser is a very kind and caring man who cares for his patients way above any other Dentit I have ever been to. I would recommend Dr. Kiser and his office to anyone looking for a family dentist. I had taken out another loan to pay the remaining balance on my account and was told that all was good. I went for an appointment and was going to set up the next one when I was told that I owed a couple thousand dollars more. I refuse to pay that amount and finally got the amount down to 450.50 and then covid hit and was told that my needs were not fitting the covid protocol so I would have to wait. After over a year I had to go back in and have a full review once again, costing more money and the amount went to almost 800.and I told them to just send me my money that I have on credit. This was in January 2022 and I am still waiting for my money. 3 months and still no check or anything. This is the first office I've ever been to and actually felt comfortable. The front desk is kind. Ashlee took time to explain my insurance. Brandy was patient with x-rays. Dentist was condescending. Told me to relax because I was making him nervous. Worst dentist I've ever been to. Claims to care about anxiety yet causes it. Why do you think this guy advertises on billboards on every highway in and out of mansfield. Use at your own risk.

If you go there, keep a close eye on your explanation of benefits from your insurance company. The will give you a "treatment plan" and tell you what "your insurance will pay for" without sending it to your ins Co first. Don't pay for any services up front, if you overpay you fight with Dee to get your money back. She will say "ok, ok," and lie to you. She will credit your account after saying they will send you a check. You will get bills for charges that they don't know where the charges came from. They will do a "courtesy writeoff" and shuffle it to your spouses account. Keep all of your EOBs and show them you owe nothing and when you have them confirm that you owe nothing and that they owe you $150 they will send you a partial check and say that you owe money on a cleaning that they were paid the in-network negotiated fee for by the insurance Co. OH and make sure you record all conv. with them on your phone and in person like I did. Record a video and record w a 2nd device.

I’m hesitant to even post a negative review, because I’ve seen how Dr Kiser responds to them, but felt like I needed too. I paid over $700 (after insurance), to have a tooth pulled and it prepped to get a tooth implant in the future. I understand this involves a lot of work, and was sedated by a nurse. I was unsure that the this was the correct tooth, but he was very insisted and confident it was the tooth causing my pain (even tho it wasn’t near where I felt my pain). I was in so much pain I agreed to have that tooth pulled. My pain never left. I’m in the exact same pain I was in (actually the pain is worse now and I fear the tooth I originally went for will now need pulled or a root canal). When I went for my follow up to have my stitches removed, he told me “all out, looks good”, and rushed off while someone else spoke to me about coming back for more work. I didn’t realize the stitch was still there til I got home. There is much more but I’m limited to how many words I can post.

By being new to the area and thoroughly searching for a trusted dentist, I chose Dr. Russell Kiser and am so glad I did! My dental needs up to now have been standard cleanings, fillings, and an occasional crown. I didn’t think I’d ever need a tooth implant. When a front tooth snapped off damaging the structure, stem, and root, I carefully weighed options and decided to get a tooth implant after finding that I had bone loss too. I found that Dr. Kiser’s expertise ranged from general dentistry through doing root canal procedures, dental implants, bone grafting and more. I appreciate that honesty and direct level approach he takes, which might come across as to direct or to straight forward, but I appreciated it since it is me that has to endure consequences of not having appropriate recommendations made. We arrived at 2:00pm for a 2:30p appointment. My wife wasn’t seen until 3:30p, due to covid I sat in the car. My wife exited the practice @4:00 and related the following- “The doctor didn’t have me down for a root canal consult and became upset when I didn’t wish to pay for a second x-ray series (primary dentist had just done these 2 weeks prior and already sent over the referral packet to our knowledge). He stated that those x-rays wouldn’t have been good enough or shown what he wanted to see anyway. They did another series and almost instantly found my referral packet with the prior x-rays right afterwards. He made several comments to the nature of how bad my teeth are and that I’m just “going to keep eating garbage, so why should he bother saving the tooth”.” The doctor did not provide a plan in keeping with the patients wishes, ie implant or crown options. He made snide comments while rooting around in a patients mouth. He did not respect our time in handling the appointment in a timely fashion. The practice mishandled and lost patient records that they were entrusted with. We’ve both been patients, but no more. My veterinarian has better bedside manner. BAD DENTIST He insisted I needed two root canals. Both teeth rotted out in 6 months. second one nearly killed me. Infection caused stroke. Lots of ego no skill.

Worst dentist ever. He’s out for money and does not care about his patients. All the girls that were working that day I was there were very rude and had horrible bedside manner. I was told my tooth had to be pulled and it would cost almost a grand. Thank goodness I found a competent dentist that cares about patients and not money. My tooth was able to be saved and only cost a quarter of what kiser wanted. It’s not very often I give bad reviews but I wouldn’t go here if it was completely free of charge. I began going to Dr. Kiser in early 2019. I was 30 years old at the time. I was extremely worried. As soon as I walked in I could tell I was in a place that was professional. I was taken care of by somebody who took many X-rays, including a total round the head scan. The dental hygienist helped to “rate” my teeth on a scale to 1-5 and eventually Dr. Kiser came to talk with me. He needed some time to develop a plan of attack that would be catered specifically to me. Long story short, I had a lot of problems in my mouth. To be exact I needed: One tooth extracted, two root canals, four wisdom teeth needed removed, and thirteen fillings. I was totally lost in despair. I knew it had to be done, but I was so afraid, and I knew the bill would be bad. I was given a list of the plans he had developed (keep these papers and refer to them!) and he explained it to me and asked if I had any questions. He was patient, professional, and answered my questions. It was clear he was very knowledgeable. I was very afraid of what might happen but I felt comforted by Dr. Kiser’s calm, reasoned plan and his multiple accolades (including being qualified for IV sedation, an implant specialist, an EMT, an endodontist). The day finally came for my first sitting. I was so worried, but as I walked in knowing I would be sedated, there were at least three other people other than the dentist in the small room I was going to be operated on including a nurse. They brought much needed comfort. Then Dr. Kiser came over, they started the IV, he started talking to me, and then...I woke up in my bed. Later that day he personally called to check on me. I was very sad and kind of surprised when I awoke because I found out that I was missing seven teeth (the four wisdom teeth, the one I expected to go, and two others that were initially planned as root canals). To be fair to Dr. Kiser, he did say that one of them might not be able to be saved, but I didn’t understand that meant he would take it from my mouth - I wish that point was made a bit more clear to me, because I probably would have told him no on that - I was not aware that this was the protocol, though I do understand that he felt professionally it was necessary. He did say, the next time I was in, that had I told him not to take those teeth, he wouldn’t have - so make sure if that is something you want that you tell him that. I think I had to contact Dr. Kiser at one point after my op. and he answered my question. The craziest thing is that I had NO PAIN. I don’t know how Dr. Kiser did it - all I can say the guy is an expert at what he does. Every time I subsequently went to Dr. Kiser’s office I felt safe. I knew I had a professional doing work on me. The dental hygienists are great, the helpers are great, the office staff is great and Dr. Kiser is great. In the subsequent visits I got all those cavities taken care of, a root canal taken care of, AND now I’ve got my three dental implants in. I was slightly worried about the implant surgery, I admit, but I trusted Dr. Kiser to do a good job and, as usual, he did. During one of those subsequent visits, not all that long ago, I asked Dr. Kiser about his accolades and his professional development (which he still does by the way); I asked him why he did all that. He told me, without hesitation, that he has chosen to do all of the professional development because he wants to be even more educated so that he can make his patients feel comfortable/safe. He desires to know more. I don’t know many people that would say they want to do more work. I honestly don’t know how he finds time to balance everything he does (and I’m a teacher!). At this point in time, I’m scheduled to just have six month checkups. I’m glad I decided to step in his office and I highly recommend you take that step too...you can rely on Dr. Kiser’s words on his business card: Honest, Caring, Clean, Modern. I've been going here for a number of years, the staff, as well as Dr. Kiser are always welcoming and VERY knowledgeable, I've been sedated twice and the staff always make sure I have no worries, no questions and no problems, and always call following just to check on me. He goes above and beyond what he "needs" to do to make his patients comfortable, a rare characteristic I definitely appreciate! I will definitely continue going here as long as I can! Does inferior work on teeth and neither apologetic nor accomadating as far as fixing his errors and getting you into the office. The receptionists and dental assistants are pretty nice though. Did a decent job on my wisdom teeth although his bedside manner is inconsistent.

Dr. Kiser's office is a great dental office for your entire family. He and his staff are child friendly and it is easy to get my children to go. He and his staff take care of all of my dental needs and when needed offer IV sedation to offset pain and anxiety. It is nice to not have to visit multiple dental offices when all of your needs are met by Dr. Kiser and his staff. His curriculum vitae speaks to his desire to maintain up-to-date innovation in his work. It is nice to have big city care in north central Ohio.

Dr. Kiser and his entire service is a scam . I asked about the price of implants and asked for a ballpark figure on cost. Nobody would give me an answer. Before I even filled out the paperwork I was asking price. There was no sense in wasting my time or Dr Kisers. At the end of my visit I was told it would cost $35,000 and handed a nice sized bill. I voiced my displeasure of the bill and was turned into collections in two weeks without recieving a bill. Dr. Kiser had the nerve to call me personally and was the most unprofessional and arrogant person I've ever spoken with. He said what he had to say and hung up on me. I'm not the first to experience this kind of treatment. BEWARE

Dr. Kisers performed both maxillary and mandibular procedures to correct issues with my natural teeth. He was the second office to review my case and this office is far superior to the one prior. Dr.Kiser and office staff put a well defined health plan together and executed the plan to a very pleasing result. Dr. Kiser and staff would explain the steps and what to expect. I highly recommend and have my son as a patient as well. The passion and integrity is there to be a great practioner.

Dr. Kiser's staff greeted me warmly. I was uneasy with the procedures but I was soon put to ease. The office is clean, the staff is professional, and you can just tell that Dr. Kiser knows what he's doing and cares.

Great staff! We felt at ease and safe working with Dr Kiser. He treated us in a warm and friendly manner and explained everything in detail. We were also happy that he uses sedation during the procedures. Had absolutely no pain! He called in the evening to check on us. Very professional Dr.

I had a tooth implant. Everything worked great! I had some old fillings and crowns redone. Good to go now. I also have my teeth cleaned here, and that goes good as well.

I had a very great experience at doctor kisers. My hygienist, Lori, was very caring and calming. Dr kiser gave me a very well understanding of my treatment that needed to be done in a very caring manner. All of the staff was kind.

Very disappointed! This office is all about making money and up selling. Instead of working with us to develop a plan of action, were told what we were going to do. Will not be going back.

Dr Kiser did my first root canal --experience went ok. I was to see him for my next procedure a year or so later and he seemed like a completely different person. He was very rude and almost condescending. I went back to my regular dentist and she referred me to a different endodontist that I absolutely love. Dr.Kiser is very nice and considerate of the pain one might experience. I had hybrid dental implants put in. It was a series of steps and he wanted to make sure it was a smooth process and tried to make sure I was in as little pain as possible. It took longer than I expected for it to be completed.

Dr Kiser and his staff are wonderful!! I am 32 years old and still get nervous going to the dentist. They ALL have eased my nervousness at every visit. My 4 year old goes back all by herself thanks to them easing her into it as well!! THANK YOU!!!!

Dr. Kiser has an amazing staff and is very thorough with his patients. He is willing to work with the patients on payments and has funding options available, which the front desk staff is very educated on and they are willing to help wih any questions or concerns. Everyone from the receptionists, to the hygienists to Dr. Kiser were professional and courteous. I've never had to wait for more than 10 minutes after checking in to be called back and everyone is always smiling. I've never felt rushed while in the chair, like someone else was waiting and they were in a hurry. I went in needing a lot of work done. I never felt judged by Dr. Kiser. He simply explained the procedures needed to get me to a healthy smile and told me we would work at a pace comfortable for me. The surgery went great! I'm happy I chose to come here.
