Everyone was so helpful and kind, they made something that can be very difficult easy enjoyable and treated me with respect and kindness. Avery is very helpful and knowledgeable. Anna made my treatment very fun. I couldn't recommend their office more. It was by far the best decision I've made. I came into the office at one of the lowest points in my life and over the course of my treatments I've done a complete 180°. I can't thank the staff at Bruce Hubbard's enough.

It’s okay not to be okay! My entire treatment from Beginning to end was handled professionally. The front desk staff and everyone who was involved knows what service means and the importance of making sure the patient is comfortable. With the relaxed setting while going through my treatments I educated Jack on food in other countries ????????. Avery and his ongoing professionalism from an administrative standpoint was stellar. The treatment itself was painless and their tracking system throughout the process is definitely an eye-opener at the end when you can actually see the process. However, seeing the process is one thing, but feeling the process is another. I went into this treatment, locked up and cold, and came out refreshed and enlightened. Not only did I benefit from this greatly, but so did others around me.. thank you very much for everything to the entire staff at Dr. Hubbard’s office. Ron

Front desk staff was extremely confusing, all I was looking for was a diagnosis and medication management. Front desk immediately told me they probably won’t be able to take me cause of the meds I’m on. I tried explaining that is why I want to do another diagnosis and reevaluate current meds. After much confusion they asked me if I was look for adhd evaluation. I never even mentioned adhd.

The staff at Dr. Hubbard’s office has been the most accommodating and welcoming I have ever experienced in a healthcare setting. Not only do they have great bedside manner, but I received amazing results from my TMS treatments. I will continue coming here for not just the treatments, but the people as well. AND THEY HAVE OFFICE DOGS!

From top down, beginning to end, my journey with TMS and with this office has been an incredible, uplifting experience. I had had a hard time getting connected with a psychiatrist before receiving a brochure for Dr. Bruce Hubbard and TMS. I was at my wits end, really sick in my mind, and that was bleeding over into my body and all other aspects of my life. From the first interactions with the staff, I felt at ease that they were not only taking me seriously and cared about my well being but were also capable and confident that they could help me! I cannot describe the immediate relief that provided. Then, once we determined I was a good candidate for TMS and began my treatments, I continued feeling better. It's pretty incredible how immediately I felt a "fog" or "dampness" I had had in my head lift, giving me a sense of clarity and sweet relief.. it noticeably helped me gain control over my emotional states; helped me to be more assertive by helping me to identify what was bothering me, when, and why, and then instead of tamping it down or exploding about it I was able to actually calmly express to those around me. It led to some positive interactions where before there was mostly just hurt. There were also difficult days during the treatment, but Dr. Wycoff (the psychologist on staff) made herself available to check-in with, and helped me understand my feelings and that they were suppressed issues resurfacing so that I could face them and heal. I was sure to proceed gently with myself through this and allowed some extra time to rest if I was feeling fatigued. I came through on the other side feeling extremely improved from this treatment. I've been so optimistic about myself, my marriage, and my future. I am so grateful. If you are considering TMS and this office please don't hesitate, the treatment really helps and the kind and attentive staff foster a lovely healing environment. Plus, the space is quite beautiful and there are lots of lovely plants which I really appreciate!

I 100% recommend anyone suffering from anxiety and/or depression to call and schedule a consultation to see if you're a good candidate for TMS. And I can't imagine a better place to do it than Dr. Hubbard's office. The entire staff is great and I always felt safe and supported. They will also prescribe and manage your medication even after TMS ends (with convenient e-visits). It's nice to know they're still available to support you after TMS. The picture is of my last visit a couple weeks ago. The setup is weird at first, but you get used to it really quickly. The chair is actually pretty comfortable and the treatment rooms are private, which is nice. I definitely give the whole experience 2 thumbs up! ????????

I overall had a super great experience and outcome with my TMS treatment! The staff is all super friendly and welcoming and you feel really taken care of. Highly recommend to anyone who’s thinking of this treatment, to try it out!

I finished my TMS treatment on January 9th and I feel great! This is my second time doing this treatment at this office. I came back because i feel safe, seen and heard at this practice. Avery is in charge of handling TMS scheduling etc. His compassion, and patience were very comforting. He’s always ready to help, and listen to concerns. His attentiveness and prompt response to questions and concerns helped ease much of my anxiety. Lisandra, my treater was very knowledgeable and just a wonderful human being. She was very patient, attentive and kind. Everyone in the office was kind and cheerful and it made coming in to the office for treatments much easier especially on those days where I wasn’t feeling my best. Feeling safe is important to me, so I will come back to this practice should I need treatment again in the future.

Just wanted to say that the staff that work there. Have been so patience when it come to dealing with some of my issues. That they are amazing and dr Hubbard is to. I have very bad anxiety and depression that he been working with me for awhile now that he always try to find a solution for me to get better. I really appreciate having him in my life as my dr.

I was coming here for med management, but still experienced depression and anxiety. I was told by my therapist that I should try TMS. Hearing I had to go in for treatment almost every single day was a little concerning, but I had really great company and had a lot of fun. I was fortunate and didn't experience any pain or discomfort during my treatments for depression and anxiety. The depression treatment portion felt like someone was scratching my head in a very specific spot and the anxiety portion felt like water droplets landing on my head. I experienced "the dip" which was just like having really bad depression for a few weeks, but I kept coming back and got out of it and am fine now. It also worked wonders on my anxiety. I didn't know what it felt like to not have depression and I've been done for a little under a month and I'm still learning how to live without that persistent wet blanket over me. I cannot recommend TMS more. I don't have depression and it's wild. The treatment experience itself was not the most fun because you are stuck to a chair and told not to move. But it only mattered because I would have so much fun with Avery that I had to try to keep myself from moving too much when laughing. But everyone else in the office I met is also super nice and supportive too and there for you when it gets too rough. This practice has helped me immensely. I was deeply depressed, having a very difficult time just getting through the usual daily tasks. I would spend weeks staying in bed most of the day and lots of crying. The sadness was always there. After my treatment I am a new person. The persistent sadness is gone. I am enjoying life again. I went through TMS treatment here. I was reticent initially due to the commitment of money, time and false hope (like what if it didn’t work after I got my hopes up). Dr. Wykoff and Avery could not guarantee a result but they were able to share the effects other patients were getting. I’m so glad I was referred for TMS and that I was referred here! The treaters are wonderful. I felt so supported. I was guided through the treatment in a way that brought its own bit of healing to me above and beyond the result I received from TMS. My anxiety is gone. I’ve lived with anxiety for most of my life and it got worse about 15 years ago. I am reaping the benefits of TMS in ways I never expected. I just finished my second round of TMS treatments at Dr Hubbard’s office. The first time I came I had slipped into a very deep depression - in bed for 3 months. This year, I decided to be proactive and contacted the office BEFORE my symptoms became severe. I was feeling myself begin to isolate and my thoughts were unhealthy. I’m so glad I sought treatment early. The effects of the TMS continue to work even after treatment ends - and keep me at an even keel months and months afterward. Everyone at the office was friendly, helpful and compassionate. Avery bent over backwards to accommodate my treatment schedule and Lis (my personal treatment provider and now “adopted” daughter) is fantastic….as are the rest of the staff who greeted me and filled in. I'm not one to post reviews usually but I had to for this place. I just completed my third round of TMS treatment here (first two different places). I have never met a more warm and welcoming staff than I have met here. I would come into treatments thinking the worst about myself and always be happily greeted by everyone here. I even got birthday wishes from the whole staff twice, which I was not expecting. Avery did great a job working with my insurance since I tend to get denied coverage quite a bit. Maya is one of the coolest people I have ever met and I actually looked forward to going into treatment everyday. Very grateful to have had her working with me. A very poorly managed practice. I'm a patient of Rizwan Kahn NP in Dr. Hubbard's office for two years. The office does not respond to voice mail messages even requesting to schedule a routine televisit. Also they are very unresponsive to pharmacies with routine refill requests. Even more ridiculous their auto message says they will respond within 15 minutes to voice mails or the next day if closed. If it were not so difficult to switch providers I would have made a change long ago. COVID is no excuse. This week I've left 2 voice mails to schedule a visit and neither have been returned. I will have to stop by in person which I've done 3 times now.

Had a terrible experience here - Had an appointment with Rizwan Khan since he is the only one accepting new clients. My initial appointment was cancelled extremely last minute, making my first appointment my medication management appointment. If I had the chance to meet Rizwan prior, I would not have continued further and kept this appointment. He asked really invasive questions, which I understand having to get an idea of a patient's past to understand what is going on, but this was too much. I told him it was making me uncomfortable and that I would rather not proceed to answer a few. It sent me into an anxiety attack and was truly awful. At the end of our call, he diagnosed me as bipolar solely based off of my answer to his question asking if I tend to go on shopping sprees ...... I have never considered myself bipolar and this was the only question that he asked in regard to figuring out whether or not to diagnose me as bipolar. I called the office to tell them about my experience and to see if there was something that could potentially be done about my bill, they said someone would get back to me and I have not heard back in days. I also completed TMS treatment here, which worked wonders for me. After years of medicinal treatments that didn't do much, I went in with low expectations and came out feeling like a new person. I'm a doctor of Organic Chemistry and I have been seeing Dr. Rizwan Khan since graduate school. Dr. Khan has helped me immensely over the course of the past 4 years. He has helped get me on the right medication regiment that helps treat my bipolar disorder. Whenever I am in crisis I know I can call Dr. Khan and get the help that I need. I have already rated Dr. Hubbard's practice with five stars as one of his psychiatric patients. This review is too add a five star rating as a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) patient. I recently completed all of my TMS treatments and experienced a very, very positive result for which I'm very grateful. TMS has had a life changing impact in terms of elevated mood levels and reduced anxiety in my daily life. I'm very thankful to the very supportive and friendly TMS staff. My treatment technician was amazing and was a very important factor in my positive treatment experience. This experience has changed my life! I went from barely getting out of bed because of my anxiety and depression to being out going, social, and loving life again. This was a last ditch effort for me and it really paid off. The treatment worked more than I could imagine. The office staff is wonderful and compassionate and I felt supported every step of the way. I have suffered with clinical depression for over 20 years, anxiety and tinnitus. I have taken numerous antidepressants. Nothing has help relive my depression until 2 months ago. I started TMS treatment (transcranial magnetic stimulation) with Dr. Ann Wycoff and her knowledgeable staff. With Dr, Wycoff's expertise of treatment skills I feel like a new person My friends have all commented how I have changed from before starting treatment. The benefits are fantastic; I have more energy than ever before my depression has all but disappeared. I wake-up in the morning ready to start the day, I sleep much more and better quality sleep. My spirits are lifted: happy, no negative thoughts I feel like a new person without the depression and anxiety. This was my first TMS experience and I noticed amazing results right away. I noticed I wasn't crying much anymore and I'm not swayed by the family issues that I used to feel. I was always thinking about the past. Now I can bounce back right away from family issues. I have the energy to exercise and can choose the right foods for my health. I used to not care. I can study and read better. When I was depressed I couldn't focus on my Buddhist practice. Now i can easily focus on something and study and attend Zoom meetings and enjoy everything I do. Now I'm cooking, gardening, exercising and enjoying things I didn't want to do. I also feel the pain in my body is gone too. I feel more light. The staff and Dr. Wycoff and everybody; I can feel their genuine care toward the patients and their respect toward me. They made sure I felt great during the sessions. They make it easier. Each treatment was 19 minutes but it felt like only a few minutes. I wished I could have stayed longer. They listened to my stories and know how to treat the patient to make them feel good. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to change their life. Don't waste your time. This treatment is available to you. There are no side effects like with medications. Being new to the west coast, I searched for a psychiatrist with experience and good reviews. Dr. Hubbard impressed me; however he was not seeing new patients at the time. I ended up scheduling an appointment with his Physician Assistant, Rizwan Khan instead. My initial appointment was in Sept. 2019. I’ve found Riz to be predictably calm and professional. He has always been on time, fully attentive and empathetic when I’ve been in his office, and has stayed in touch between visits when appropriate. He is efficient and responsive when ordering my prescriptions. On a couple of occasions, when I’ve needed to clarify something between appointments, he has been easy to reach via text and quick to respond. He’s been flexible in his willingness to make medication adjustments at my request, albeit, his sage advice has been to do so slowly - one medication at a time. My case is not simple, yet Riz has consistently handled it with ease and with a sincerely friendly smile on his face. Without question, he has always had my best interest at heart. Doing TMS here was one of the smartest things I've done. I'm very happy. It really helped that the providers and staff were so competent, kind and knowledgeable. They made me feel at ease. When I began treatment I was at a very low place, and I knew that every treatment was a step toward making a change. The changes I've noticed are remarkable. I'm not shaking inside; I'm not having repetitive exhausting thoughts. I can now see colors and feel hopeful for my future. I'm making plans again and I've excited for my future. I had tried many things to get better with not much success until I found a great place. I am feeling better and much of the improvement is thanks to Riz. I have been depressed most of my life. I was first diagnosed with Major Depression in 1993. During the following 27 years I have tried 11 different medications and combinations of meds. I have had ten years of talk therapy. Nothing has given me much relief. TMS has been a blessing. The sadness that was always there is gone. I am enjoying life and new experiences. Getting TMS at this office is an opportunity I've been very lucky to receive. Going into the office each day gave me something to look forward to. It wasn't until about two weeks into my TMS treatments when I started noticing changes. I started to feel lighter, like a weight had been lifted from me. I also felt a lot more confident in myself and my abilities. I realized I was enjoying myself at work instead of dreading my day as soon as I woke up. TMS even helped me go back to school. Since TMS, my future seems positive and I finally have goals again. I don't think I would have gotten such a good result if it wasn't for the support of the staff and my wonderful treater, Roxy. Everyone in the office made me feel welcome and comfortable each day, and Roxy always made me laugh and found something for us to talk about during treatment. Been seeing Riz for about a year now. I go in, we do the review, I go home. Pretty routine, which is perfect for me. He goes by the book and was thorough in his assessment. Not the guy if you just want some pills dropped in your lap.

I have been seeing Riz since April. He is absolutely wonderful. He has worked so hard to find the right medication combination for me, and after 6 months, we finally have it! I am so glad I found him and so glad I was patient with the process. Believing that things could never get better, if you have severe depression, you understand that feeling of hopelessness. I have been trying to get an appointment with Dr. Hubbard for years now as he has been personally recommended by other doctors as one of the leading doctors in the San Diego area. I was finally able to get an appointment and he and his staff did not disappoint. From the first call to the care team is wonderful. I found Dr. Hubbard and Mr. Kahn after searching for over a year for a new doctor. I was on a combination of medications that most doctors do not prescribe so it made it hard for me to find a doctor that was willing to work with me. I have been his patient for 5 months now and I am more stable than I had been for years. Their staff is very helpful and go out of their way to help resolve any issues you may have. They have Saturday appointments that make it easy to fit in your schedule. I would highly recommend both of them to help with your psychiatric needs. This office is great! I was able to get in to see Dr. Hubbard the same week I called. The Dr. uses E-scripts and actually sends them in himself. The most important thing to know is to make sure that you know if the pharmacy you use has the medicine you need beforehand. Ellen advised me of that on the day I made the appointment. I had zero problems with the whole process. They were super sweet and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this office to anyone in need of an experienced Psychiatrist and caring staff.
