My mother is now 91 and walking great without the use of cane or other device. She had her second hip surgery with Dr Davidovitch 2 years ago at 89 and her first hip replacement 2 years before that also with him. She was in constant pain and using a walker because of the pain. At 89, we were hesitant to have her go into any kind of surgery, but now I am so glad she did. Had she not done it, she would not have been mobile and would have declined quickly from there. This changed the trajectory of her life, and I think we still have her with us because of the surgery. Amazingly, the recovery at that time was easy for her, too. I attribute that to Dr. Davidovitch’s skill, anterior surgical approach (this is key), his well run practice, and top notch hospital care. Thank you, Dr Davidovitch.

I am a 79 year old dancer who has had two total hip replacements (right -2019, left-June 15, 2023) from Dr. Davidovitch. Every aspect of care, from pre op preparation, to the morning of the surgery, to the detailed follow up in the weeks after surgery, was at the highest level and gave me a feeling of confidence and security. My life is centered around dancing, rehearsing and performing, and that life has been returned to me. I was able to return to rehearsal at the six week mark, and feel stronger as each week passes. The advice post op, of focusing on rest, was invaluable. The Force program sent out daily helped me monitor my exercises. And the security of being in touch with Siobhan and the team post op is a vital part to making the recovery process so great. I am and will remain thankful to Dr. Davidovitch and the team forever.

Had my left hip done 4/2019 and my right 1/2022. I play tennis and was able to play after 3 months and 4 months respectively. I am a physician and highly recommend Dr. Davidovich and his team. I already have referred 2 other MDs to him, and both completed surgeries successfully.

I had total hip replacement on both hips (separately--six weeks apart). Dr. Davidovitch did a fantastic job. I'm about a year out from the first surgery, and my hips feel great--completely normal. I am back in the gym doing leg presses (over 250 lbs), running (which took some practice), and, most importantly, playing sports again (tennis, roller blading, a little basketball, throwing around a football and a baseball, etc.). I walked out of the hospital the same day of each surgery and never had any issues. I take that back--about four months after the second surgery, I went on a crazy long hike in a national park--standing or walking with really no place to sit for about five hours. I stayed out hiking all day because I was allowed to walk as much as I could tolerate and felt fine all day. However, the next day, one hip did hurt. I thought that I had messed up by having been out so long. But, my hip joints were perfectly fine; in one of my hips, I had apparently strained the muscle/connective tissue, which had not been used to that extent in years. I tell the story to give a complete picture, but also to point out that I used the app to contact the doctor's office, and they got right back to me. They explained that by just walking (I was still in the time period where I was not yet supposed to run, I believe, and I had not run), it was highly unlikely that I damaged the joint and that I had most likely just over exerted the muscles/connective tissue, to just rest it, and it should be fine, which it was. The pain never occurred again--and I have been out on hikes or walks over say four or more hours, e.g., the zoo, albeit, if I know that I will be walking/standing for several hours, I do try get in a few minutes of sitting per hour. But, an import point is that Dr. Davidovitch's staff was extremely responsive in that case and whenever else I had questions (I had some questions about the amount of exercises, if I recall correctly; I'm a person with a lot of questions). As to the surgeries themselves, after the anesthesia wore off, I felt what I'm told are the normal effects of surgery (which I had never previously had) for about two to three days--you're just not 100%--but with minimal, if any, pain. For one hip I took no pain meds; for the other, I took pain meds once or maybe twice, more as a precaution because I felt slight pain and they suggested being ahead of it. But that was it--no real issues. The incisions healed beautifully. On both hips, I took the bandage off after a few days, as per the instructions, and that was it--everything was fine and healed extremely well. I can now barely tell where either incision was. In summary, Dr. Davidovitch was nice, did a stupendous job, and everything worked out great. FYI, I did opt for the procedure with the use of the computer robot (or whatever it is exactly). I highly recommend Dr. Davidovitch.

As a retired recovery room nurse who took care of hundreds of the traditional hip replacement , the anterior approach was amazing. The protocol for Dr D is spot on… everything works in a most efficient manner. No time lag. EVERYONE in his team are most caring and efficient. I met Mako , my robot, I came out of surgery with NO PAIN???????????? I never had pain after and I walked into my house 12 hrs after I arrived home from the hospital. I can not praise or admire Dr. Davidovitch and his team more. Excellent care throughout this experience. I would give them 10 stars. Thank you so very much. Many years of professional ballet performance, teaching ballet and fitness and finally osteoarthritis, I was in need of a Total Hip Replacement. I found Dr. Roy Davidovitch on line as I was looking specifically for a surgeon who had success with patients with my movement history and who performed an Anterior Total Hip Replacement, which I understood would bode well for a quicker recovery. I left the hospital walking on crutches 4 hours after my surgery and began therapy on-line prescribed by Dr. Davidovitch the next day. I also appreciated that I was able to manage my pain with only Tylenol and Ibuprofen for the initial weeks. His recommendation to use a Game Ready Ice Machine 3X/day was also very helpful in reducing pain and speeding up recovery. My therapy program was updated on line on a schedule and I was able to speak to the nurse practitioner anytime I had questions or concerns. Dr. Davidovitch checked in with me personally through the website and virtual video calls. I started teaching Pilates again 3 months after my surgery and at 1 year, I believe my hip is perfect! I am stronger, more flexible, mobile and agile than I have been in a long time. Thank you, Dr. Davidovitch! Dr. Davidovitch did a full hip replacement which went exactly according to plan. On recovery, I was walking immediately and never needed to take the prescription pain meds, the OTC meds were fine. Visits with the Doctor and the staff were always pleasant and informative. The hospital, NYU Langone Orthopedics, was fantastic as well.

My experience with Dr. Davidovitch was excellent, he is a great professional with many years of experience and has performed thousands of surgeries but the best thing about him, is he is a great person and cares about his patients. He also has the patience to explain the procedure and respond to all the doubts. Above all, I had my labrum tear repair with him because from my first appointment I feel I could trust him.

I was a healthy 79 year old who needed a hip replacement. I Chose Dr Davidovitch because a few of my colleagues underwent the same surgery and recommended him. The evaluation preoperative testing was very well organized. I was impressed with the PT session teaching about the postoperative period, teaching how to get out of bed, walk with a walker and a cane and going up the stairs. My surgery was postponed for 6 months because of COVID in NY city. When it happened it was like a miracle. I was in the OR at 8AM. By noon I was out of bed walking with a walker and being tested to see if I can climb stairs properly. By 12:45 I was in the car heading home. I iced a lot and did not need the pain medication prescribed. I followed direction on the special app which is very helpful. The 2 weeks telehealth visit was great, since you can stay at home . I recommend Dr Davidovitch and his team without reservations.

I had a PAO (periacetabular osteotomy) surgery for hip dysplasia in June 2020 with Dr. Davidovitch. I was referred by another doctor in the NYU Langone network who treated my left hip labrum repair. Leading up to surgery, Dr. Davidovitch clearly explained my treatment options, pros and cons, and we did specifically positioned x-rays to inform the recommended approach, which ended up being the PAO. Pre-op I also had an excellent experience with the staff (both administrative staff and the nurse practitioner) who supported a seamless scheduling experience, quickly and thoroughly answered all my questions, and worked with me to provide a financial plan that met my needs. Post- op the nurse practitioner was always available and quickly answered all questions, helping me and my care team to feel as good as possible after such a serious surgery. I’m about 6 months out, and my hip is doing great! Regarding room for improvement, I did have to find my PT place on my own which was a bit annoying (I asked for a recommendation and didn’t get one). I also was frustratingly dismissed when I expressed shoulder pain when transitioning off crutches, and thankfully another doctor took me more seriously and we realized my shoulder was partially dislocating. This is why I’m taking off one star from my review. Overall, Dr. Davidovitch focused on my hip and got me on track to live a much more comfortable life. I’ve transitioned from a physical therapy program to personal training for people recovering from serious injuries. At 28 years old, I went from pain while walking short distances to being able to strength train 3 times a week and do spin classes twice a week on my home stationary bike. It’s par for the course to get pain here and there since it’s under a year post-op, but I’m optimistic it will continue to lessen as I approach a full year post-surgery. i was completely happy with my experience with dr davidovitch and my anterior hip replacement. dr davidovitch was incredibly kind and empathic when he discovered that i was in excruciating pain and was willing to move up my surgery a bit even though i had had a steroid shot. pre-op was easy. the day of the surgery i arrived in the morning around 7:00 and returned to mt apartment by 4:00, ambulatory and not in pain. my recovery was uneventful. when i called, worried about a particular development, dr davidovitch was again empathic and told me to come to his office even though he was sure that i was fine. i did so and he told me he was happy to relieve my anxiety - which turned out to be false, but reassured, i returned home and easily continued my recovery. his availability and the availability of his staff and their unfailing kindness were important to me. a year later i am well and walking up to five miles in a day and doing all normal daily activities. i am most grateful to him for his excellent and competent care. i was completely happy with my experience with dr davidovitch and my anterior hip replacement. dr davidovitch was incredibly kind and empathic when he discovered that i was in excruciating pain and was willing to move up my surgery a bit … More

I was amazed then how easy the surgery was, how skilled Dr. D. was and how short my recuperation was. The week after the surgery, I climbed a full flight of steps and saw clients all day. No pain. This was not the experience of friends who had the same surgery with other Drs. So, when I needed to have the other hip replaced, I knew exactly where I would go. Dr. D. replaced the second hip, with the same result. Short recuperation, hardly any pain and so easy considering it is major surgery. When I did research for the first hip, I learned exactly how skilled Dr. D. was. He actually brought the frontal hip replacement surgery to NYU. I highly recommend him. Dr. Joan D. Dr. Davidovitch performed the Anterior approach for my hip replacement Oct 24, 2019. I was an outpatient arriving at 7:00 am, having 9 am surgery and leaving at 6 pm that day. The staff at NYU Langone exceeded any expectation I had. From the Admin check in to the last fellow who wheeled me out in a chair; one person was better than the last. I was and continue to be blown away by the care and kindness. As to the Dr. and the procedure; I was skiing Feb. 8th, 2020! I ski 30-40 days a year and I ski FAST. The first run out on my new hip was concerning. Once I realized that my leg/hip was PERFECT and could handle the impact of skiing, I let it rip! My operated side functions EXACTLY as my non surgical side. I have had ZERO negative issues. If you have a hip issue; do not walk to Dr. Davidovitch- Run to him. December 2020 Dr. Davidovitch and his team are absolutely amazing! I am so grateful for their collective expertise in anterior approach total hip replacement. They gave me a new left hip last July, it is incredible! I am 59, in my 36th year of military service, flew high-G jets for the first 25 years and spent all of those years working out, running, biking, lifting weights etc. during daily physical training (PT) to maintain fitness standards. It all finally caught up with me last winter prepping for my yearly PT test, loss of range and motion while running accompanied with a lot of clicking and plenty of pain forced me to see the flight surgeon, the X-rays were not good. After a few months of indecision, the reality of a bone on bone X-ray and more flight doc prompting I had an exceptional consult with Dr. Davidovitch. Prep and coordination with Dr. D’s team and NYU Langone was skillfully efficient, even amidst a global pandemic. Everyone was very personable, attentive and extraordinarily caring. My first operation ever, I was very apprehensive…but for no good reason…since the anesthesia countdown I have been pain free! I walked out of the hospital about 8 hours after I limped in, crutches for balance and I still think I could have driven home just fine but the Doc and my wife would not allow that. I took no pain meds except the mandatory Tylenol for a week. Exercises, stretching, walking and stairs from day one were effortless compared to before surgery. I reported a 1 to 0 pain level for a few weeks only because the excess glue on my incision was pinching at times - I had zero bruising. I was working, driving and riding a bike within two weeks. I was able to walk swiftly, bike and even lightly jog with no problem very soon after my initial two weeks of mandatory crutches. Physical therapy a couple times a week along with diligently performing Dr. D’s exercise/stretch regimen was essential to my speedy recovery. At my 90 day check up, Dr. D lifted all restrictions and now at 5 months or so, strength in my left leg is back to where it was several years ago. I can readily jog a few miles with no problem and no pain but I’m substituting more biking and lower impact aerobic workouts these days to get more mileage out of the rest of my body. A huge THANK YOU to Dr. Davidovitch and his team and all the wonderful health care professionals involved in the awesome care, treatment, surgery, recovery and follow-up I received, it is truly life changing! I had a complete left hip replacement 3 months ago, and have had a quick, painless and amazing recovery due to Dr.Davidovitch and his team. It was my first surgery , and I was home the same day, with no side effects, barely any pain and no bruising or swelling. I was able to walk with an aid comfortably, and the excercises on the Force app helped along with therapy after 2 months. The doctor was great, can't say enough good things. I would go back to him in a heartbeat! *****Adding to this review, I had my other hip done in January 2020 by him again, without even considering going elsewhere. At age 60, I had my right hip replacement surgery in August, 2019. A year and a half later, I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. I had my first consultation with Dr. Roy Davidovitch several years prior to the surgery. Based on his prognosis at that time, we agreed I should wait and that my body would tell me when it's time. Using the anterior approach, the surgery went smoothly. Dr. Davidovitch and his surgical team explained the procedure clearly and what I should expect in recovery. I was up and walking with forearm braces just hours after the surgery. Because of an unrelated precondition I was kept overnight for observation. On the several trips to the bathroom during the night I decided to "take laps" around the surgical wing. I was motivated. After one lap I heard a nurse say to another, after seeing me walk by, "must be one of Dr. Davidovitch's patients." Dr. Davidovitch's team followed up my rehab care with regular contact through the phone App and several phone calls. I was mowing my lawn within weeks and was playing golf by the early spring. I still can't hit my 5 iron but I don't think that's Dr. Davidovitch's fault. At age 60, I had my right hip replacement surgery in August, 2019. Words can’t describe the gratitude I feel towards Dr. Davidovitch. It was truly the best experience I’ve ever had with a doctor and his office. I received top notch, professional service from the scheduling of office appointments, to the day of surgery and months after surgery. I was made to feel comfortable during the entire process. I went to see him with severe arthritis in my left hip, I couldn’t straighten my left leg fully and walked with a limp. Dr. Davidovitch recommended surgery, though I thought I was too young (36), he assured me that it would give me a better quality of life and that more people my age were having it done these days. I had the surgery on June 8th 2020, two weeks from the initial office visit. It was an outpatient procedure, I went in a 9:00am and was out by 4:00pm. When I woke up from anesthesia I discovered I could straighten my leg all the way without any discomfort, it was the best feeling. I was up and walking with forearm crutches a few hours after surgery. Recovery was better than expected, I was able to get through it without taking any narcotics. (I highly recommend the “Game Ready” ice machine they offer, it was a life saver!) I was driving my sisters manual car within 2 1/2 weeks and back to work 2 months after surgery. I never thought I’d have the quality of life I have today, I didn’t think it was possible or that the surgery would make this much of a difference. The replacement feels so natural, I can’t even tell it was replaced. I’m so happy I took Dr. Davidovitch’s advice to have it done and that he was the one to do it. Honestly I can’t recommend him highly enough. Thank you! Words can’t describe the gratitude I feel towards Dr. Davidovitch. I had bone on bone in my left hip it was so bad I could not walk 2 blocks. I didn't want a hip replacement so I tried a cortisone shot which didn't work but it did waist 3 months then I tried stem cell implant another waste of time and extremely expensive. Dr. Davidovitch was recommended to me by another doctor who had both his hips done by Dr. Davidovitch. I don't even know if I can give him the praise he deserves. I went into the hospital at 9.a.m on June 4 and went home at 6 P.M. the same day. I had no pain and only mild discomfort for the first week. I was out of the house and walking in the street with a cane for another week or so. No pain and no pain meds at all only some Tylenol from day 1. The actual surgery was only a little over an hour. Now 4 months after surgery I can walk miles and continue to see improvement. Almost forgot to mention the doctor has an APP. to monitor your progress and you get daily exercises and can reach him and his team by text. they always got back to me within 15 minutes now that is real service and care. When mild to moderate hip pain escalated into serious pain I consulted Dr. Roy Davidovitch. I was relieved to learn that I was a candidate for the Anterior Approach Hip Replacement procedure. All staff members at the hospital for joint diseases are very patient oriented. Post operatively I had very little pain and was walking within a few hours of the procedure. Dr. Davidovitch is simply the best. I had very severe rheumatoid arthritis damage to my left hip, and I had been putting off hip replacement surgery for quite some time due to my fears of the recuperation period. I was astonished, both by the immediate reduction in pain, and by the swiftness of the recovery. With the surgery done from the front rather the traditional side approach, there were very few movement restrictions, and with physical therapy I managed to regain strength I had lost in those muscles far faster than I imagined. There was no period of being bedridden as I had feared. Overall, the replacement reduced my overall arthritis inflammation levels so significantly I can honestly say I have not felt this well in years. If I could add extra stars to this review I would! Previously very active, this pain was preventing me from normal activity much less the active lifestyle I was accustomed to. When we met, he took the time to explain why I was experiencing the pain, and what my options were. I had hip arthroscopies performed on both hips by Dr. Davidovitch in 2019. A year later, I am glad I had the surgery, and grateful to Dr. Davidovitch for his excellent work. I recommend him without reservation. In my surgeries, Dr. Davidovitch removed excess bone and repaired tissue damage. First one hip, then, six weeks later, the second. Before the surgeries I experienced hip pain most days, generally modest, sometimes more severe. I am in my 40s and athletic, so this was very unpleasant. I had also had limited hip mobility all my life. Both surgeries were done without complications, I had virtually no discomfort following them, but for the necessary burden of recovery (3-4 weeks on crutches after each, several months of rehab). In the months leading up to the surgeries, Dr. Davidovitch answered all my questions and helped me decide on the right course of action. I am a 69-year-old woman who, due to osteoarthritis, has had two anterior approach total hip replacement surgeries performed by Dr. Roy Davidovitch. After the first surgery in January, 2019, I was so pleased with the result that I could hardly wait for the procedure on my other hip which was done 4 1/2 months later. The effects truly have been life-changing. Before my surgeries, I was in so much pain that I had to think about every step I took, trying to minimize any movements I had to make. It is hard to remember just how limited my activities had become. Following my hip replacement, the improvements were almost immediate. I now have increased range of motion, more energy, and no pain ! I checked into the hospital on the morning of my surgery and went home that same evening. Before I was released, I met with a physical therapist and an occupational therapist for help with my individual needs. I walked the floor and even climbed stairs with a cane for support. The NYU Langone nurses were great, with both a pre-admission visit to the hospital to cover any and all questions and then following up with regular phone calls to my home to check my progress and to see if I had any further questions or issues. Dr. Davidovitch also touched base frequently. The Force app on my phone helped me monitor the progress of my daily exercises. I was thrilled by how quickly I was able to recover and get back to regular activities. Within a very short period of time I was able to do regular workouts and I felt better than I had in years. All I can say is Dr. Davidovitch is a "Rock Star" on so many levels.....I initially met with Dr. Davidovitch after countless referrals from friends within the fitness community. Dr. Davidovitch immediately diagnosed my condition, however, suggested holding off on surgery based upon my mild, to moderate symptoms at the time. To begin, no words would ever be sufficient to express my gratitude to Dr. Davidovitch. His achievements are a matter of record, but do not adequately convey what it means to be a beneficiary of such amazing talent. As a physician practicing in Manhattan, I was always aware of his well-deserved stellar reputation and the high esteem is which he is held. However, only when I became a patient in need of a total hip replacement was I able to fully understand his gift of healing. I came to him last year after trying all available methods of treatment - including physical therapy and joint injections. I didn't believe that simply replacing a joint would relieve all pain and restore all function. I started to believe after my first office visit - when Dr. Davidovitch explained with quiet confidence that this indeed would likely be the result. And he was completely correct. The procedure went more smoothly than I could have hoped for. I was up walking less than an hour after waking up in the recovery room - without pain for the first time in years. The followup program is excellent - daily exercises explained in perfect detail, and a medication regimen likewise. I am not certain the good doctor knows just how much he has done for so many people - including me. I am beyond fortunate to have him as a friend and colleague, but truly blessed to have him as my physician. To begin, no words would ever be sufficient to express my gratitude to Dr. Davidovitch. Roy is what we call in medical profession a 'doctor's doctor.' I am an active urologist in my mid fifties who began experiencing progressively crippling hip pain. After seeing a head of the ortho department at a major hospital for some years, I went for second opinion with Dr. Davidovich given his amount of expertise and reputation among our peers. I was properly diagnosed and had an outpatient right hip replacement via anterior approach in December 2016. I was able to go back to work in one week and my recovery was brisk and uneventful. I returned to my sport in three months as per recommendation. I developed hip pain on the contralateral side three years later (turns out I was born funny and my natural hip joints only lasted the first fifty years). I had my total left hip replacement in April 2019. Recovery was again brisk and uneventful and I was doing office work in one week. As I write this four years from my original surgery, I am completely symptom free and actually have a greater range of motion and strength then before. I couldn't be happier. Thank you doctor! Roy is what we call in medical profession a 'doctor's doctor.' I am an active urologist in my mid fifties who began experiencing progressively crippling hip pain. Dr. Davidovitch performed my hip surgery a little over a year and a half ago. He is a brilliant surgeon. There are not enough words to describe him. I was hesitant on the anterior approach but when I met Dr. Davidovitch, he made me feel confident that the surgery will go well and take away all the pain I was having in my hip and back. He was 100% correct! Not only is he very knowledgeable in his field of expertise, he is caring, personable and patient too. He never made me feel I was asking too many questions. The post-operative care went smoothly as he said it would. I was walking with minimum use of the crutches the next day after my surgery and had no issues. Almost a year later, I was riding the peloton and continued to feel great. Not only is Dr. Davidovitch an amazing surgeon, his staff was always a pleasure to work with too. They were always accommodating with any questions or requests I had. I cannot thank Dr. Davidovitch and his staff enough for the wonderful work they do!

Dr. Davidovitch was experienced, knowledgeable, and cordial in every possible way during my visits to his office. The hip replacement surgery he performed was flawless and virtually scarless. He is always available for follow-up advice and consultation.

Dr. Davidovitch performed 2 anterior approach hip replacements on me and I could not be happier. I am able to do everything I did prior to my hip issues. He and his team are just wonderful. They answer all of your questions, Lily the surgical coordinator is always so friendly and thorough making sure everything is taken care of prior to surgery, NYU Langone was literally the best hospital I have ever been in and after surgery Dr. Davidovitch and his team were always there for any concerns I had. I recommend Dr. Davidovitch and his team to everyone I know.

I had both my Hips replaced by Dr. Davidovitch. The first was June 2018 and then again Sept.2020. I did much research before the initial surgery regarding method and Doctor before finally deciding I wanted the Anterior approach and Dr. Davidovitch. The outcome could not have been better! Both times I was released same day. I was walking without assistance within days and back to normal activities within 2-3 weeks. Compared to some friends that I know that had the hip surgery, my recovery's the most pain free and quickest of all which I credit with Dr.Davidovitch.

Dr. Davidovitch is a 10. I had a total left hip replacement in June 2020 during the pandemic. I wasn’t, but he was, cool and calm and took the time to answer all my questions and put me at ease. Everything went just as he said it would and I was home the same day. The follow-up care from his office staff was incredible. His staff goes above and beyond. If I should ever need another hip I will go running back to Dr. Davidovitch.

On Oct. 24, 2019, Dr Davidovitch performed an Anterior Hip Replacement on me. After PT and being in constant pain for months, my physical therapist in CT recommended the doctor to me. Luckily I was able to get an appointment quickly. Right away I knew I was in the right place. Dr. D was thorough, kind, and explained everything very well, he listened. The surgery was a huge success. I was walking around the hospital floor the night of surgery, happy I spent the night instead of going home. I used a walker for several days or when I went outside. Was doing stairs the next day. The pain was minimual. The ice cuff he recommended was great. About two weeks after surgery, I felt like my old self again. I cannot thank Dr. Davidovitch and his staff enough, they are the very best!

Dr. Davidovitch is an orthopedic surgeon located in NYC.. He is affiliated with NYU Langone. Dr. D. replaced my hip in 2012. Dr. Joan D. Atwood

Full hip replacement; I went home the same day as the surgery, had dinner with my family, slept very well that night with no opioids. I walked an average of 2 miles per had the first week, 3 miles per day the second week, and I've been pain free ever since, playing sports, hiking, etc.. Dr Davidovitch is a master at his science/art and totally accessible through the portal. I could never imagine sending my family and friends to anyone else. The most important decision you can make in having surgery is choosing your surgeon. After doing much research and getting referrals, I selected Dr. Davidovitch and had a very successful hip replacement surgery. Every aspect of the process has been beyond excellent from the first meeting in which Dr. Davidovitch explained the options and the procedure, to the same day surgery and to the post-op care. As a person, Dr. Davidovitch is patient, thoughtful, highly informed, data driven, confidence inspiring and thorough. As a surgeon, he is excellent, first rate, innovative and clearly at the top of his field. My recovery has been nothing short of amazing on all counts with improvement every single day. Full credit to Dr. Davidovitch's remarkable skills and expertise. I could not have imagined a better experience. He and his team are the best!!!! Dr. Davidovitch performed an anterior total hip replacement on me in Sept. 2018. Before surgery I was in constant pain. Dr. D's treatment plan post-surgery got me back on my feet and feeling great within 2 months. Today, I walk without a limp and without pain and I give all the credit to this amazing doctor and his dedicated staff. I highly recommend him if you want a skilled, knowledgeable surgeon who's the best in his field!

If your problem is more than a hip replacement he will not take the time to get to the root of your problem. After wasting 8 months in his care I left his office in tears in February and he didn't even offer a ounce of comfort. Here I am almost 3 weeks out of surgery and well on my way to recovery. Not all cases are easy but a real Dr. would never let a patient leave his office in the level of pain I was in with out trying to get to the bottom of it. Former Patient Andrea Cavicchio You can keep deleted my review but then that makes you even less of a Dr. because your patients should hear the good and the bad!!

Top notch and seamless care from the day I had my consult to my 3 month check up. I could not have been in better hands and got my life back. I knew for a few years that I would need a hip replacement but never pursued it for many reasons. I did not want to go into a rehab facility was number one. The procedure was done and I was home and walking stairs in less then 12 hours. I had no pain, was standing straight, and No limp. The way he performs the surgery is not like any other from what Im told. Dr Davidovitch is straight forward about his care and follows up at every stage of rehab. I would highly recommend him.

Given this is major surgery I can’t be more pleased with the results. Having 9 months to mentally and physically prepare for the anterior procedure made all the difference. I was walking immediately, unassisted with four days and out of PT ahead of schedule. I have enthusiastically recommended Dr. Davidovitch to others considering total hip replacement. HSS you have big competition here. Thanks Dr. Roy!!!!

I had a left total hip replacement with Dr. Davidovitch, and the entire experience was exceptional -- the surgery team along with Dr. Davidovich and everyone at NYU Langone. I was walking (with a cane) as soon as I left the hospital and using stairs that evening. Minimal discomfort in the first few days, and stopped all pain medication a few days later (no point using them anymore). I would highly recommend Dr. Davidovich and his team.

Dr. Davidovitch is an extremely skilled surgeon in total hip replacement. He does the anterior approach which allows minimal pain & speedy recovery. I have had both hips replaced 3 1/2 years apart. With the latest surgery I walked without a cane after a few hours. I was pain free in one week. I cannot praise him enough for the results. Thank you Dr. Davidovitch.
