About Dr. Roy E Cole
Reviews for Dr. Roy E Cole
The receptionists treat people as though they are a nuisance. We have had numerous issues with appointments, it actually is taking a third attempt to get my daughter in to have wisdom teeth taken out and the staff is very unapologetic to the fact that I have had to take my daughter out of school multiple days and rearrange schedules to try to get her in to have the procedure done. My daughter is very high anxiety which greatly adds to my frustration of having to reschedule over and over again. I will never use this facility again The receptionists treat people as though they are a nuisance. I had nothing but excellent care with a somewhat difficult procedure. I feel fortunate that Dr. Cole was the one to handle my surgery. It was most successful and I have a healthy full set of teeth again!
I went in to get my wisdom teeth out with Dr. Cole and they were the most unprofessional people. The nurses/aids were outside my room coughing and making jokes about how one of them probably had COVID-19 and they were telling her to cough on them because they "wouldn't mind a few days off". They came in started doing things without explanation, one was even drinking Starbucks and just standing there chatting. Then when Dr. Cole was coming in they were telling him his headlight was dim so he wouldn't be able to see well and he shrugged claiming he charged it so maybe it was just out, which he continued to come in the room and start anyways. When I woke up they ignored me when I tried to ask questions, and basically shoved me out the door. I was wobbly from the meds and had to open my own door and everything. Aside from the awful manners, and lack of human decency, I have minimal swelling and tolerable pain. I went in to get my wisdom teeth out with Dr. Cole and they were the most unprofessional people. We did not have a good experience. Our daughter is in a lot of pain due to her TMJ. We made an appointment that was six weeks out because Dr. Cole only sees TMJ patients once per month. We were willing to wait because we were hopeful he could help. Our daughter is high risk, but they were not willing to do anything to mitigate the risk for her, like scheduling a first appointment of the day. (They make you sign a paper stating you have an increased risk of contracting COVID at their office.) They cancelled our appointment and scheduled it four additional weeks out. We were bumped back to our original date later when I called in and explained our daughter's pain level. When we finally had our appointment, we had to travel two hours only to be told we could not see the doctor. Our daughter has had a CT scan of her head and CT scan of her jaw in the past. This office would not skip another jaw CT scan to help reduce radiation. They told us we could not see the doctor without it. We offered to have xrays and/or an MRI done, but they refused. So we traveled to the office for nothing. We could not see the doctor. And my daughter is still in pain. The person I walked with on the phone for scheduling was nice, but the nurses/doctors do not seem to take patient care seriously. We were very disappointed in the organization and the lack of concern for patient care/safety in the office. We did not have a good experience. Our daughter is in a lot of pain due to her TMJ. Had wisdom tooth pulled today. Super friendly staff, IV didnt hurt at all and havent had any pain since surgery so far. Was nervous after reading old reviews but as of typing this I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. No problems what so ever. 10/10

I thought he was great. Can't understand these 1-star ratings...
Going to an oral surgeon is sure to create anxiety and nerves of anticipation, however from the moment I walked in the door, the staff was exceptional! Dr Cole was very engaging, gentle, and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Cole and his staff, they all were exceptional and alleviated my nerves from start to finish!
Dr. Cole did sedation oral surgery on me and I am doing great 12 days out. He was one on one with me and his confidence reassured me he would do a great job. Thanks Dr. Cole!!
Had a minor procedure done yesterday. Very professional and respectful staff, Dr. Cole answered all of my questions and was very personable, we even had a laugh about the care after the procedure. The worst part of the whole thing was the shot to numb the inside of my cheek. Not bad at all, would highly recommend!
I’ve had two teeth extracted in the last year by Dr. Cole. Excluding the local anesthesia, the entire process took less than one minute each time. I thought the first time it was a fluke, but the same thing happened a year later. I asked each time if we were done because I couldn’t tell that my tooth had been pulled. No pain during the extraction and no pain whatsoever afterwards. The local injection is more painful by far than the extractions were. He is an excellent oral surgeon who I will not hesitate to recommend to others. I am pleased to give him 5 stars. I’ve had two teeth extracted in the last year by Dr. Cole. I must agree, no compassion at this office, obviously they are not in the market for new patients.

While being a good surgeon, he lacks empathy towards those who suffer with severe anxiety.
My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Cole several years ago. He answered all of our questions before the procedure, and everything went well, despite my daughter's usual anxiety issues. My son and I are now planning to go in for a consult with Dr. Cole for the same procedure.
Dr. Roy e cole. He did amazing.!!!My numbing still hasn’t worn off but even after I’ll still feel the same. At the consultation he listened to everything I had to say and was super nice, professional, and respectful. He’s not a man of many words and I acttually liked that. Because he would keep it simple to understand and get the job done. I like that he wasn’t a huge talker it made me feel like I was in better hands Honestly. I noticed he had some bad reviews people saying that he has no bedside manner, or didn’t care about people with anxiety” and I honestly think those people just complain about everything, everyday of their lives. Although everyone is different he’s there to do a job. Not host a dinner party about feelings. Your anxiety is YOUR problem. Not his. Anyway I will say during the consultation. Aside from the awesome doctor cole. One of his nurses who I initially met made faces at elderly people on their way out the door and then I had to get x rays from her. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or what. But she defiantly had a chip on her shoulder. The rest of the staff and nurses are VERY SWEET and VERY RESPECTFUL. And damn good at their jobs. The nurse that inserted my IV. It wasn’t painful at all she did amazing. Truly. Surgery was perfect. Everything was perfect. Dr cole deserves more recognition. Not that he needs it. He’s just damn good at his job as well as the staff. You need wisdom teeth removed or surgery. Go here. In the future I would go back if I ever needed more work done. Awesome experience. I am way above average with respect to freaking out about needles. Dr Cole was accommodating and seemed to understand. He had to give me nitrous to keep my blood pressure down enough to give me the IV. I don't like having my wisdom teeth removed but I won't hesitate to go back here if I need more work done in the future.
Dr Cole removed all but 8 of my teeth In 2012 for my new dentures. I was amazed at the lack of pain after the procedure as and how quickly I healed due to the lack of tram to gums. He's damn good at what he does. He's very skilled. As of 1/10/19 he again had to remove another tooth. The staff is excellent in making you feel relaxed and assured. Other than feeling pressure while the tooth was extracted, the procedure was pain free. Dr Cole speaks to you thru every step during the procedure. I refuse to go to anyone else because of the quality of care I receive. 5 stars isn't enough. Fantastic work. Dr Cole removed all but 8 of my teeth In 2012 for my new dentures. My dentist recommended Dr. Cole but I never checked his reviews. The surgery went well, however he lacks compassion along with his staff. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I was really anxious about my surgery. I had read reviews about the particular surgeon I was seeing had been rude but I went to him because my dentist recommended him to me. I've never had surgery before and I mentioned that I was scared of getting an IV. To be fair I was crying because I was scared but they basically pretty much constrained me after I asked for some time to chill out a bit before the IV. But they went ahead constrained me and put the IV in completely ignoring my request. Not only that but the Surgeon himself started berating me and saying "I shouldn't be acting like this" and I shouldn't be crying before I had a needle stuck in me. It didn't alleviate my anxiety at all and mad me really stupid and he was really condescending. The only reason I'm rating this two stars is because they probably did the surgery right and thats all that matters. But if you are someone who happens to be really scared of IVS or needles do NOT go to these people. They are NOT compassionate and they are NOT understanding and it will make you feel very silly afterwards. I was really anxious about my surgery. To be honest my surgery was a-ok this guy just doesn't really know how to handle people who are overly anxious at all. I had previously read that he had been kind of stand-offish and really rude but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt but man oh man. If you are someone who is squeamish they don't do ANYTHING to make you to feel comfortable at all.

Dr. Cole is very knowledgeable in his field! Something I learned during my time in his care: if you have questions, write them down before your appointment, and just ask. Sometimes he is very busy, but if you need to know something, don't feel like he wont make time...because he will! He is a FANTASTIC surgeon! You can barely see my scar from the open joint surgery he performed on me only 2.5 weeks ago! I have several more week of recovery but I'm feeling better than I have in years!
