On the 7 th anniversary of my 28 year old sons brain surgery I decided to look up Dr. Zellem for saving my sons life in Duluth Minnesota! He stepped in and stepped up and took over! We cannot thank him enough! He checked up on him even from the airport as he was leaving Duluth from his 10 day schedule there. After surgery he told my husband and me about how amazing the nurses, and others in the operating room were taking no credit for his work. Thank You Dr. Zellem!

I served Dr. Zellem at the Duluth Sheraton Hotel in the Club Lounge, a somewhat private bungalo at the top of the hotel where those w/ a residency could kick their feet up in between surgeries. Dr. Zellem was more than a good guest. He was a pleasure and a bit of a gold standard. I've rarely seen anyone as kind and genuine as Ron. He offered advice, insight, and above all- sincere appreciation for our hospitality. I'm not a patient, but rather someone who saw true character each time he came into my lounge to grab a bite. You can tell he empties the tank and his work ethic seemed unparalleled. I write this to let you know what kind of man Ron is when he's not in the operating room- A gem of a soul. And an inspiration. My husband and I cannot even begin to express our gratitude for Dr. Zellem. My husband had an accident in January with a very serious brain injury. In addition to his surgical skills, he is the most compassionate and caring physician I have ever had the privilege of meeting. I would highly recommend Dr. Zellem to anyone in need of a caring and excellent surgeon.
