My son had Dr. Newfield as his growth doctor years ago. Dr. Newfield said our son was not ready to be prescribed Humatrope for his idiopathic short stature. The doctor said to wait and see, wait and see, until it was almost too late. We went out of plan and obtained another opinion that said our son was definitely a candidate for growth hormones. No thanks to Dr. Newfield, our son is now 5'8" and would have probably only grow to a maximum height of 5'1" had we continued to be put off by Dr. Newfield.

He is the best Dr. My daughter has EVER had. Is is very thorough and is very straight forward. He makes sure that you get the best possible care. I never want another physician for her.
After receiving treatment from many specialists from the east to the west coast I was completely shocked Dr. Newfield ACTUALLY went through those records with a fine tooth comb.He spent over 2 hours with us asking questions and listening.He was direct, compassionate, and had a fantastic bedside manner.He treated me as an intelligible human being. He treated my 8 year old with compassion. He was thorough and intuitive. We are finally on a direct path to treating short stature appropriately.
