When I had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction 4 years ago my plastic surgeon did not listen to me. When I developed capsular contracture 4 years later I knew I wouldn’t be returning to that surgeon. There were no plastic surgeons in my area that specialized in revision surgery so I did what we do these days…I turned to social media. I found Dr Israeli on Instagram. I followed him for awhile and was impressed by his openness and honesty about mastectomies and revision surgeries. After he posted a picture that applied to my problem, I asked him a question in the comments. To my amazement he answered me personally and suggested a telemedicine visit. We had the telemed visit (at no charge!) and discussed what I would need to do to move forward with him. I eagerly made an appt and flew from North Carolina to NY for a consult. Dr. Israeli spent an hour with me that day explaining all of my options. I felt heard and cared for…and very optimistic. I had never had a surgeon, or any doc, spend that amount of time with me. I was ready with a list of questions to ask Dr. Israeli, but by the time he was done talking with me, he had already answered them all during his exam. I was introduced to their patient empowerment program. I was encouraged to hear of the weekly zoom meetings held to cover so many subjects that breast cancer survivors deal with. I was matched with a previous patient that had gone through the same surgery I was scheduled to have. We talked on the phone and she helped me feel more at ease about what was to come. This floored me! I was able to ask her so many personal questions. This one phone call made all the difference. My surgery happened to fall on a day after a massive ice storm and blizzard. Everything that could go wrong did. NYBRA employees worked to change my facility at the last minute and find needed supplies that were held up in the ice storm. Truly unbelievable. The amazing this is….I never knew about all the difficulties they faced because of the storm. Dr Israeli and his staff just fixed it and made sure my surgery happened. I wish everyone that is diagnosed with breast cancer could have the experience of NYBRA plastic surgery. It’s not just a doctors office, it’s a family that cares about you.

Not only did Dr. Israeli thoroughly listen to my concerns, he made sure to take my physique, age, and activity levels into account when going over my procedure. He talked me through each step of the breast reduction, and he made this an incredible and life-changing experience!

Dr Israeli is one of the best doctors I have ever met! His bedside manner is amazing. He was so patient and answered all of my questions prior to my surgery. I was amazed with the outcome of my surgery. He exceeded all of my expectations!

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (ductal carcinoma In Situ). Dr. Israeli was the only consult I had or needed for my Breast Reconstruction. I knew immediately that this was my doctor! He was patient, kind, compassionate and explained my different options of surgery. I opted for a bi-lateral mastectomy with implants and nipple/areola tattoos. Dr. Israeli is an expert in Breast Reconstruction surgery. He is a skilled surgeon as well as an artist. He is a perfectionist! Dr. Israeli put me back together (not only physically, but mentally as well) at a time when I felt less than adequate as a woman. The entire staff makes you feel like family - not just another “patient.” Dr. Israeli is not only my doctor, but my friend and I am grateful to have met him. I give Dr. Israeli 10 stars!

75% of my visit Dr Israeli spent looking at ,and updating the computer rather than facing me. I would have appreciated more “ face time”, before a life changing surgery.

Dr. Israeli is not only the kindest and most modest plastic surgeon I’ve ever met (aside from his partner Dr David Light who is also extremely compassionate), but he is a highly skilled surgeon. I am SO thankful for finding him, as he gave me options no other surgeon even mentioned. I had a DMX in May 2021 and thanks to him, I was able to avoid unnecessary (and potentially risky in my opinion) lymph node dissection Additionally, unlike most surgeons, he is among the first to do nerve grafting and 2 1/2 months post-op I am already regaining sensation unlike most patients who have had DMX. It’s very interesting and alarming to me that MSK doesn’t offer either of those options! MSK is supposedly cutting edge and first with all new treatments yet doesn’t offer the option to restore feeling? He is an artist and perfectionist (in a good way) and I trust him completely. Dr. Israeli is an excellent breast reconstruction surgeon. I had cancer and had both breasts removed. While going through this experience alone, he listened and told me my options. He showed me pictures of what to expect. He’s an excellent surgeon with an amazing bedside manner! If I had to, I would do it with him all over again! My breasts came out amazing. I was fortunate to learn about Dr. Israeli from five of his former patients in my breast cancer group. He is a very skilled surgeon with an artist’s eye for beautiful results. During my first visit, we discussed the issues I was having with symmetry, rippling, and animation. He gave me an honest assessment of what could reasonably be achieved. There were no surprises with my surgery. Dr. Israeli was spot on in creating exactly what I had visualized and solved all of the issues I was experiencing. This was my first surgery with Dr. Israeli, after six previous unsuccessful breast surgeries. It has been by far the easiest and most pain free recovery! I could not have had a better surgical and recovery experience. My results are everything I hoped they would be--and more! I would highly recommend Dr. Israeli.

When I was originally diagnosed with breast cancer. I was confused as to who should do my reconstruction surgery. When I asked my surgeon who he would choose for his wife, without hesitation he said Dr Israeli. I have been his patient since 2006 and have had several surgeries. He and his staff are skilled, kind and understanding of all their patients needs and concerns. I recently had my implants exchanged and once again I was extremely happy with the results. Dr Israeli and his staff are always available to answer any questions and to help in so many ways. Dr Israeli and his practice should be your choice.

Dr Israeli is the most skilled plastic surgeon I have met. He is an artist and musician . He is shy , humble and kind. Every nurse or tech that had occasion to see the reconstruction he did for me after my bilateral mastectomy has said they had never seen any reconstruction as good as done by Dr Israeli.

I am a Breast Cancer Survivor. Dr. Israeli took me on as a patient with expanders already in place. I was an emotional wreck after original surgeon mislead me. Dr. Israeli was extremely professional, knowledgeable and kind man. During the exchange surgery he and the anesthesiologist sang me to sleep. He did an amazing job. He has also done fat graphing on my breast and they couldn’t look any better. The staff in his office are so kind. Look him up on YouTube, you will see his comapassion!

I've been a patient of Dr. Israeli since March 2013. I'm a breast cancer survivor who came to him from Florida. Yes, he is worth the travel! My first PS botched my tram reconstruction. Dr. Israeli repaired 3 hernias due to the tram. From 2013-2016, he has reconstructed my breasts using fat grafting, & nipple reconstruction. I went from a small, lopsided A cup to a full C cup. He is truly an artist. My new breasts look so real. I recommend him to everyone. I don't trust another. He's amazing!

I had bilateral mastectomy surgery with immediate reconstruction with direct implants with alloderm in november 2015 by Dr. Busch Devereaux and Dr. Israeli. The results are truly amazing. I cannot thank them enough for their caring, compassion, and dedication. I am a registered nurse and have had many follow up visits with Dr. Israeli . He and his entire staff has always shown me and my family their utmost concern.and support. Thank you to all. I am forever grateful.
