My experience with Dr. Izquierdo was wonderful. His interest in my care was wonderful, Dr Izquierdo was so patient with me, I never felt rushed. I had questions he explained everything to me from my first exam through my post operative Surgery & through my Therapy. I was concerned & Nervous but His Genuine smile and warm personality decreased my stress level tremendously. The staff in this facility were Amazing! All so friendly. If you're looking for a Doctor l Highly Recommend Dr. Izquierdo, He will not disappoint You.

No waiting, listened to the issue, developed a plan, followed up on scheduling surgery.

Thank goodness I don’t have to go often, but every time I’ve gone in to see Dr. Isquierdo, I leave feeling very relieved. I’ll continue going to see him.

Always a good experience at Ortho Illinois in Algonquin. The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr. Izquierdo is an excellent doctor/surgeon and very professional and easy to talk to.

I had four x-rays before I saw the Dr. So, when he came in he could look and tell me exactly what was wrong with my shoulder. Examined my shoulder and came up with a plan. I felt very good about my visit.

Dr. Izquierdo Has been One of the best Dr. I have ever had. He is very honest and trustworthy.

Dr. Izquierdo is good with shoulder surgeries, explains the procedure and rehab in simple terms and has a great bedside manner.

I really like Dr Izquierdo! He is a no nonsense, VERY good surgeon in my book. I was very happy with how my left shoulder replacement went! I expected to be in MUCH MORE pain....but I felt much better after the replacement, then I EVER thought I would! All his assistants are VERY kind and polite, as well as extremely good, on how they converse and discuss things after as well as before my replacement took place!! Special THANK YOU and shout out to Rebecca Cheski, and Marie Rivers! Both are sweethearts!! Thanks again! Tim De Lord

After extensive research on who I would trust to preform my surgery . I decided to go with Dr. Izquierdo. I had major rotator cuff repair performed by Dr.Izquierdo. I can't say enough about the care I received, other than it was top notch by one of the best surgeons in his field. I recommend him for all your orthopedic needs as well as mine. Great doctor, very personable great staff. I would like to thank Dr.Izquierdo, Marie Rivers and all those at Orthoillinois who helped in making this a positive experience.

Dr. Izquierdo is an excellent surgeon and a very caring person. He listens to your questions and is very patient. He and his staff communicate well and provide exceptional care.

Very thorough with discussing next steps and alleviating the problem in the AC joint. Using an MRI to confirm no other surrounding tissue/tendon damage.

I went to see Dr. Izquierdo after a failed rotator cuff surgery from another doctor. He examined me thoroughly and answered all my questions. He was very kind and patient. He and his staff communicate very well and as a result I will be completing my physical therapy shortly. I am so happy with the results. I would highly recommend this doctor.

I chose Dr Roland Izquierdo because of his credentials and the Pleasant Photo shown on the site. He always enters the room with that nice smile and friendly Calming voice. Dr Izquierdo doesn't just use medical Jargon, but he also explains everything in a way that anyone can understand. He's always concerned about how I feel. I'm 5 weeks post opp, and he is as passionate and gentle as day one. I have 6 more weeks of physical therapy, my shoulder is healing like it should at this point. I recommend Dr. Izquierdo to family & friends and whomever need a surgeon.

Very efficient and knowledgeable. Really seems to care about the decision process. One minor thought would be he seems in a hurry. I’m in sales and I’ve been told that. Like I’m leaning for the door. Just a friendly thought. Slow down a bit.

An experienced professional and highly skilled surgeon at his best. I am 68 years young and incurred a massive full depth rotator cuff tear (my 2nd) to my right shoulder. After 50 years of racquetball, the injuries were mounting (right knee replacement with Dr. Daniels and right wrist tear with Dr. Holtkamp). My active (racquetball & golf) retired lifestyle was threatened. Dr Izquierdo understood my sports activity passion and explained in laymen's terms the realistic options for a successful repair. He made it happen !! Skilled and experienced in his field, I had complete confidence in him. Also, and just as impotent, is the Ortho Group rehab specialists that assisted me with a consistent 7 day, 24 week exercise schedule to acquire full flexibility and strengh back. Thank you ALL very much.

Every thing was so well planned out from initial appointment, to the pre surgical meeting, to admission, the surgery and recovery. Very impressive and leaves no questions unanswered. Wouldn't go anywhere else

Caring, extremely polite and efficient staff. Dr. Izquierdo excellent presentation and explanation of medical issues and their resolution and processes, so that all information is thoroughly understood by patients.

Explained the problem with my arm what could be done and what may not improve. Told me what to expect if I chose surgery. Spoke clearly to explain all options.

My initial visit with Dr. Izquierdo was the third opinion (2 from other orthopaedic Dr.s) on whether shoulder replacement was necessary. I was extremely impressed with his demeanor, kindness and caring about my needs. His explanation of what was required and the procedure was thorough and easy to understand...complete with drawings! The day of surgery he assured me that all would be well and again explained what was about to take place along with follow up instructions. I should also point out that his PA, Marie Rivers, was stellar in her role with DR. Izquierdo. She too displayed empathy and confidence that my shoulder would be back "better than before." And she did an excellent job on stitching my shoulder (my P.T.s have commented on how wonderful the incision looks. Now four months post op I will attest that I am so VERY happy that I proceeded with this wonderful pair of professionals! I have NO PAIN at all and from day 1 I felt much better. I am able to do everything I could do 20 years ago with no pain. I give this team, Dr. Izquierdo, Marie Rivers, and all the X-Ray techs along with the nurses an A+++++. Dr. Izquierdo is energetic, enthusiastic, and knows what he is doing. He and his assistants provided excellent care for my torn rotator cuff. 6 months post op and I have no issues with the repair. He did my wife's shoulder replacement and she is doing very well. OrthoIllinois has great physical therapists too.

He has done my husband surgery & my bother-in-laws. He is very kind, very knowledable & takes his time to make sure we understand everything. His support team is great as well. they communicate so we are clear about all of the details.

Dr. Izquierdo was very patient while he was explaining the injury and what was going to be needed to repair my shoulder. His team is also very attentive. I now have full rotation again.

What can I say….he’s awesome! Did my bicep tendon repair and some other work. Staff can be slow to respond but they do their best. Worth the wait. Excellent bedside manner. Very pleased and highly recommend him!

Check in is quick and very efficient. Wait time was no more than 15 minutes and I was early. When I was in the room after intake information was gathered the doctor was in there within five minutes. Dr. Izquierdo was my surgeon for a "reverse total shoulder replacement revision". Basically he had to rebuild my shoulder. My expectations were never to get not only the range of motion I currently have (6 months post-op) but to get rid of almost all the pain I have lived with for years. He is not only a great surgeon but his demeanor is wonderful. Dr. Izquierdo listens, explains and is compassionate when speaking with you. He is a very calming presence in situations that can be filled with high emotions. I truly can't say enough good things about Dr. Izquierdo and would recommend him to anyone who is seeking one of Chicagoland's best!

Normal wear and tear caught up with me over the past year and I started to have shoulder pain. I thought this will pass but to my surprise, it was getting worse and that is when I decided to see Dr. Rolando Izquierdo, Jr. MD. It was the best decision I made as he was an outstanding doctor that truly cared about my well-being and lifestyle. He was patient and most importantly he listened to me and asked me what goals I wanted to achieve. Knowing I have two young kids I want to be able to throw the ball in the yard without holding back tears due to the pain. With that said he recommended a great treatment plan to alleviate my pain which was inclusive of physical therapy first and then surgery since the pain was not getting better. After surgery, I was determined to get better, and with the help of OrthoIllinois’s awesome team of Physical Therapists, I did. I saw Dr. Izquierdo for left shoulder pain. He had previously done surgery twice on my right shoulder. He was very good at examining my shoulder. I liked that he took a more conservative approach by first recommending a steriod shot and physical therapy. He was quick and efficient.

I just had my 3 year check post left shoulder replacement. I started out barely being able to raise my left arm out to the side and having pain while doing so to full range of motion and zero pain! After surgery and during the recovery phase, I also had zero pain which made physical therapy easy and quick! Dr. I. is very easy to talk with and explains all procedures in depth. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, I have my life and activity back! I really hope I don't need the other shoulder repaired but if I do, I definitely know who I want to do the repair!

I am extremely happy with my shoulder replacement. Dr. Izquierdo and his staff were outstanding explaining, preparing me, and following up on my surgery. I am thrilled with my shoulders strenght and range of motion. I am pain free and have resumed my active lifestyle, which includes tennis, wind surfing, alpine skiing, scuba diving, road and mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and running to name a few. I am also back to working taking care of our horse ranch and helping my wife's veterinarian business.

I'm extremely happy with my Reverse Right Shoulder Replacement! My strength and range of motion is outstanding. Dr. Izquierdo and his staff were great from day 1 and throughout the entire process. I have absolutely no pain and am enjoying my full range of activities and work.
