You will never meet a more professional, articulate and skilful medical provider. In both my experiences with Dr. Brown he provided information in an unpatronizing way, and worked fast and expertly on my dental issues. Even more than that, I have experienced NO pain or even discomfort subsequent to his procedures. I thought this would be inevitable after a 2-hour procedure, but apart from a couple of doses of preventative ibuprofen I needed no pain relief, and returned to work the same day. Dr. Brown and his staff are amazing.
I went in for a root canal a few days ago. I was very nervous about pain during the procedure. He uses a numbing agent before the Novocain so the injections are not bad at all. I didn't feel any pain during the root canal. Amazing! Dr. Brown let's you know what he will be doing before and during the procedure. He's very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. Don't keep putting it off like I did because of fear!
There really aren't words to describe the GIFT Dr. Brown is, or to express my gratitude to him. His work is superb, and any visit to his practice is relaxing, safe ... and even FUN! Although words fail, I just wanted to send a message of thanks ...
My dentist Dr. Karina Redko sent the information she gathered to Dr. Roger J Brown and I set up the appointment. To be totally honest I was not sure what to expect. Meaning would there be more tests, x-rays, would I have a chance to ask questions and decide if I indeed wanted a root canal or not, would there be definitive proof that I needed it done, was it up to me to decide what I deemed painful enough to warrant the procedure and the short answer to all those is positive YES. Dr. Brown asked me to explain my symptoms which was a great way to start. Often with referrals I find doctors will read to me what was in the notes instead of giving me a chance to speak with them directly. For example the lingering pain was in the notes but not being able to handle the temperature of ice cream was new since Dr. Redko saw me. Yes, there were more tests and more X-rays which did provide sufficient evidence. However we found that while I thought tooth #30 was the problem it turned out to be #31, the furthest back molar. Taking the time to go over the X-rays and describe what he saw using diagrams and language catered to my field of study in college helped bridge the gap between Endodontic verbiage and physics. I will try and go quicker but it’s hard because every step of the way he checked for understanding and made sure we both agreed the best “quality of life” decision would be. He let me know he’d work on it for awhile and at a predetermined stopping point we’d take a break, get new X-rays and go over them being able to have a better look. In my case the crack had started to go beyond gum line and was pinching the nerve. We both agreed to continue with the root canal since it was below gum line versus, and I apologize for using my own words, getting in front of the crack, sealing it and capping it. That being said he wasn’t done investigating. He let me know while he’d be working on the tooth that if he had to stop after 4 minutes it’s because he “found something hiding behind the drywall” that could mean the tooth would need removed entirely. Fortunately for me mine was treatable by the root canal, my tooth had good jawbone and nothing surprising inside. What do they say on those tv shows about remodeling a house, “the house has good bones” haha. Sorry the review has become a novel and I could go on but I’ll stop here by saying the entire time I was in his care I felt no pressure to have the root canal, I had the knowledge to make an informed decision, I had the upmost confidence in Dr. Brown and walked out of there knowing my quality of life would be so much better. If you have any questions let me know but I strongly recommend Dr. Brown and thank Dr. Redko for referring me to him. Ps - sry for any spelling and / or grammatical errors, it’s too long to proof read HAHA! I must say that Dr. Brown is the best in his profession. From start to finish the professionalism he and his staff showed towards saving a tooth is unmatched. Dr. Brown's attention to detail in his profession made the whole experience a learning one. I felt as though I had just spent a day in Dental School. Thank you so much!
Excellent doctor. Great knowledge, diagnostic abilities and clinical skills combined with great rapport and compassion. I give him my highest recommendation with no reservations.
I was referred to Dr. Brown by my dentist in regards to a possible root canal. I didn't need the root canal (thankfully :D ) but I do have some infection that couldn't be addressed by an endodontist like Dr. Brown. He was kind, thorough and explained things very clearly to me. He has also been exceptional about helping me find the care I need and with follow up calls and check-ins and was very quick to get the paperwork I needed. I highly recommend his services. Best practice in the valley in experience, hands down!! Between Lori in the office and Dr Brown performing the procedure, I've never been more impressed with a medical office. If you're on the fence on which endodentist to see, go to Dr. BROWN in Glenwood . You will be happy you did.
The best. I absolutely love this office. Dr Brown did a fantastic job and talked to me about my teeth and explained things so well. He’s a gentleman,Kind, helpful,Thank you for the great experience! Actually I haven't had a good sleep for a week because the toothache. last night I slept very well, because he helped me cure it. Thanks ????
I was visiting from NY and had an emergency with an existing root canal. Dr. Brown was able to see me immediately. His entire staff was professional and compassionate starting with his receptionist, who was friendly and accommodating, his assistant, who was gentile and thorough at a very painful time, and ending with Dr. Brown who was extremely patient, friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I've spent many hours in dentist's and endodontist's chairs and I have a very good idea of what these specialists are referring to. Dr. Brown was able to consider the entire history and recommend a path to recovery for this emergency. Instead of capitalizing on an opportunity to perform an expensive procedure, he assured me I'd be fine with the course I was on. His recommendation was to simply stay on antibiotics and I would be fine until I was able to return to my doctor. Which I was. Thank you!!
I am a firefighter in Colorado in August of 2018 on the Cache Creek fire. I had some tooth pain and got a referral to Dr. Brown. He got me in the next day and properly diagnosed the problem. He gave me 3 options, after a proper explaination. Fix it. And gave me a discount to help me out. Gave me a call later that night to check how i was feeling. Great job. Thanks. Thumbs up. Roger is certainly one of the most knowledgable, personable, skilled and thorough doctors that I have ever met. Him and his staff are fantastic to work with. I felt very comfortable and confident the entire time I was having my root canal treatment.
The work was good however you pay $150 for the consultation. $1,200 for the root canal and then it's an extra $150 to have them fill the root canal which is part of any root canal and shouldn't cost extra. What was discussed in the consultation that made me decide to definitely spend the extra money on the endodontist instead of dentist was not what happened when I showed up for the root canal. He did the root canal like any dentist would do but my total bill was $1,500 for just a root canal.
I was referred to Dr. Brown to address an abscessed root canal. I was nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Brown and his staff made the whole thing very easy and allayed my anxiety, from start to finish. Dr. Brown was extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring. He made every effort to answer my questions and made sure I was comfortable before, during and after the surgery. I have never received such attentive follow-up! I absolutely recommend Dr. Brown. I was referred to Dr. Brown to address an abscessed root canal. Dr. Brown and his staff were incredibly professional, knowledgeable and caring. I received treatment for an abscessed root canal, and based on my experience, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Brown. I have never received such attentive care and follow-up!
I put off a dental procedure thinking it would settle down. It didn't, so I made an appointment with Dr. Brown. What an incredible experience (how many say that about dental procedures?). The staff was fast & efficient. The work was explained thoroughly and patiently. Having had 3 previous root canals, I can testify that he is an excellent Endondontist and I would highly recommend his office to everyone!
