Dr. Roderick Marcus Capelo

If I could give 10 stars, I would. My daughter is a 13 year old, very high level Volleyball player. She suffered a scary ankle sprain, even with braces on. Dr. Capelo, and his staff, saw my daughter on short notice. I have never had an experience like this. The staff understood that volleyball is everything to my daughter, and my daughter is everything to me. He took his time, examined every aspect of her ankle, x-rays, and put a game plan together that I feel comfortable with, and she feels comfortable with. I'm most impressed with their sport knowledge. They understand the level in which she plays at, and put health in front of play, while considering how fast she can return to play, without future injury. This will be my go to for both of my kids ortho visits. If you have kids that play high level sports, I think this is place to go. Thank you Dr. Capelo & Staff, for going out of your way today, making my daughter comfortable with the injury, and helping us make sure she gets the correct plan of attack the healing.

Dr. Capelo and his staff are amazing! Having a child with an injury can be a stressful time. Dr. Capelo made sure our daughter understood her injury and what the road to recovery looked like. His staff went above and beyond when getting us in promptly and getting us referrals. I would give Dr. Capelo and his staff 10 stars if I could and will be telling all of my sports mom friends about him!

Quick and easy with no pain while casting my arm.

Dr. Capelo is an amazing doctor with a very knowledgeable staff. We’ve been seeing him for 2 years now with a great experience at each visit. I highly recommend him for your child’s needs!

My daughter broke both arms they were quick getting her in and taken care of. The Doc was awesome in explaining everything and I feel this is a great place to take the kid if the break their arm or what ever a bone doc is needed for. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE CARE THEY HAVE PROVIDED FOR MY DAUGHTER!!!

I went with my son twice and each time we had to wait 1 hour before the visit. It was really stressful for both of us, alone inside this small and cold room. Doctor Capelo ‘s assistent looked very sad and never smiled both times. I’ve changed doctor because punctuality and a smile are at the top of my list.

Dr. Capelo has treated my kids for sports injuries for 10 years! Everything from broken elbow, wrists a few times, broke collarbone and and fractured shin. Dr. Capelo and his staff are wonderful! He also diagnosed my daughter with a rare hip and knee problem that other doctors could not.

Dr. Capelo is amazing. He diagnosed my daughter's 4 year old back issue which multiple doctors could not over the years (par's defect), in the first appointment! He was very thorough, methodical and laid out the plan for us to follow. Thanks to him, my daughter is pain-free for the first time in 4 years. Can't thank him enough!!

Called to schedule an appointment for my 6 yr olds elbow fracture and the receptionist rudely said, Have you tried cooks?, we don’t take Medicaid.”

very thorough. our son saw him for a fractured spine and pars defect. Dr. Capelo was very thorough. gave a gentle and thorough examination, and made sure our questions were answered.

Late on a friday night my 2 year old decided to jump off of a bed and broke her arm. After a scary visit to the ER and receiving a splint, we needed to find a doctor to set the cast and complete followup treatment. We found Dr. Capelo and he explained his plan for her speedy recovery in a clear and concise manner. Dr Capelo and his staff turned a very stressful situation into a calm one, and my little girl is already feeling better! We highly recommend Dr. Capelo for your pediatric orthopedic surgery needs. It's a frightening experience when your little one needs surgery; especially if they have to be put under anesthesia. However. Dr. Rod is very professional and he did a great job explaining all of the details to us so we knew what to expect. His staff was great to work with and we are very pleased with the outcome of the two procedures that he recently performed for our 3 year old. We highly recommend Dr. Capelo for pediatric orthopedic surgery. He recently performed two procedures for our 3 year old, and Dr. Rod and his staff were great to work with throughout the entire process. We were nervous because she had to be incubated, but he was great with explaining everything and very flexible with our schedule.

Dr. Capelo is thorough and knowledgeable. He has been our doctor for the past 6 years, and removed the Osteochondroma from our daughter's leg bone. He explained everything from the first diagnosis of a bone tumor until surgery and answered every question we've had. While it's never easy watching your child go into surgery, we were confident she was in capable hands with Dr. Capelo. His staff was gentle with our daughter when performing xrays, etc, and always courteous with us. Dr. Capelo is thorough and knowledgeable.
