Very condescending and disrespectful. Likes to delete reviews to make himself look good.

The staff is amazing!!! Having been in healthcare I know that staff turn over is a neverending problem in the field however Dr. Unsell's nurses, tech and receptionist all seem to have been with him for while! His team genuinely cares about the patients, the doctor, and each other! That says a lot to me!!!! As far as Dr. Unsell's himself, he has been doing this a long time and knows his stuff! He has been working with me, my physical therapist, and Workmens Comp to try getting me back to where I need to be. The staff is amazing!!! Excellent surgeon. Great results on carpal tunnel surgery

Real condescending and passive aggressive during my initial visit. Very short in conversation, wouldn’t give a cast because he wanted to prolong his scam and get an “MRI”… it was ME that had to keep calling their office to see when I could get my MRI, no urgency or care on their end. second visit he was respectful and smiling, all while trying to book a surgery. He lied and said the bone doesn’t heal on its own but said I’m welcome to put a cast on cause there’s a small chance it will heal. Make up your mind with a lie dude, Does it heal on its own or not? I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt because he’s the doctor and I’m not, what would I know right? It takes them a whole month to get a quote for my surgery, on top of the whole month it took them to get an MRI result. I call a week before my scheduled follow up visit to ask questions, receptionist rudely cuts me off and tells me to leave a message on their voicemail because they’re short staffed… never got a call back.

I’m giving a 3 star because the male nurse and the receptionist’s and the doctor were pleasant to speak to. However upon check out the brunette was terrible. I asked her if that was all since the doctor mentioned for us to schedule with the someone an MRI to which she responded that someone would get in contact. Ok perfect but then I asked what number we had listed? Since my husband Is very busy 99% of the day he gets unsolicited calls ( we own a construction company) so I rather handle all of our appointments and medical needs. I have more time. Of course I didn’t tell her all that just asked what number we had listed. She responded well whatever number you listed as primary in your documents. And I said I don’t remember, she then responded you don’t remember? And gave me attitude. To which I said Well I didn’t remember since I filled those documents out over a week ago. She then pulled out our paper work and basically read me the number and threw the doc at me. She was in a hurry to get us out of there regardless of no one waiting behind us. I looked it over changed the numbers gave it back. Terrible attitude. All I can say is if you read this I’d like you to know that its ok to have a bad day but it’s not our fault. I’ve work HR my whole life and tell people all the time. If you hate your job and working with people it’s no ones fault but your own find a different field to work in. The people you interact with also have problems and your attitude shouldn’t be one of the things to make their day worst. Dr. Robert Unsell did my Thumb Arthroplasty on my right hand. He is very patient and answers all questions. The surgery went very well and I was back playing golf the next spring. Be sure you do the PT for a full recovery.

I saw Dr. Unsell in November of 2019. I had broken my elbow in 3 places. He placed an artificial elbow in my arm with a screw. I did not enjoy the nerve block, but it eventually got better. I did about 3 months of occupational therapy and I eventually was able to touch my face again and brush my hair, and do my makeup. He is a great doctor! I went to Dr. Unsell for my finger. I heard one of the office people refer to me as "that big girl." The male nurse was very kind. The doctor himself was very abrupt. He used a freezing spray on my finger and didn't even wait 10 seconds before jabbing a needle in my painfully swollen finger. I was never told what was wrong. Another office person came in to set up another appointment. When I started asking questions, she sighed...picked up her laptop and went to get the doctor. I had to ask what was wrong with my finger (never even saw an x-ray). He briefly explained and gave me powerful antibiotic (only 1 pharmacy in 20 miles had any in stock). It was a 14 day prescription but wanted me to come back in 5 days! When I came back, of course, very little had changed. He said come back next week when it was finished. It was a complete waste of time and money. Copayment collection was also inconsistent. The 1st time she said they would bill me. The 2nd time she rudely demanded payment now!

Absolutely love Dr. Unsell and his staff.

Dr Unsell, cut my radial nerve and damaged my medial nerve during surgery. And then released me saying the surgery was a sucess

I had an appointment at 3:30pm. We got there at 3:00 with paperwork completed and signed in. Watch people after us go in before us. We sat there for over 30 minutes to which they have a sign that says “let the front desk know if you have been waiting more than 30 minutes” to which we did only to be told there were 4 more people ahead of us. Why do I tell you I’ve been waiting?!?!? Then it was 4:15 and only one person of the four was called back so I imagine if we stayed we would have been there well over an hour just to be brought back to a room. I will not be back. I had a large ganglion cyst that Dr. Unsell removed. Very impressed with him and his staff!

Did surgery on my elbow. He was always professional and explained everything very well. It’s been 2 yrs since my surgery and my elbow is still doing very well.

So far so good. He is very positive about things.

Dr. Unsell performed carpel tunnel surgery on both my hands and did surgery on my left wrist. I was very careful about selecting a hand surgeon because I am a professional jazz guitarist. After surgery and physical therapy I was 100% recovered.

Dr. Unsell was incredibley careless in the reading of my x-rays. He told me the bones in my hand look great. He was SO WRONG! I have a bone spur that is very noticeable in my x-rays. This bone spur has ruputured the tendon to my middle finger. He totally miss diagnosed my condition. I do not recommend his services.

Waited for over an hour and a half past my appointment time to see the doctor. Clerical staff was very unprofessional (I watched one of them change the order of charts so certain people could be seen before others. She did this twice). Unless the treatment provided works extremely well I won't be going back.

I depend on my hands for my lifelihood, when I started losing feeling in my right hand I was devastated, I was referred to Dr Unsell by my Doctor, Dr Unsell recommended surgery, (I was scared to do this) I agreed, and in less than two months later I am back to 100 percent, what a blessing to have crossed paths with such a gifted surgen. SphenoCath for immediate relief of migraine headaches is nothing short of miraculous. This procedure itself is really no big deal, there are a few seconds of mild discomfort which results in relieving debilitating pain. For the squeamish out there you'll find the worse will be hearing and thinking about the procedure.....don't think about it just know you'll be back on your feet, living a normal life. I'm so glad I was referred to Dr. Unsell's office.......three treatments and I'll be going back when my next migraine comes. Excellent group of physicians. These doctors own this practice, and are free to take the "needed time" with each patient, as well as treat their patients with kindness, courtesy, and respect; the very things which have been lost in the mad mad world of insurance bureaucracy. We can learn a lot from this type of practice.

I had a ruptured (distal) bicep tendon reattached. There never was any pain level that required the use of pain suppressing medication. My down time was less than anticipated and I was able to get back to my daily activities MUCH SOONER than expected. Excellent physician!
