Dr. Robert Joseph Schmidt

If I could give this office more than 5 stars I certainly would! I was treated with respect and the office staff was very nice as well!! I felt great when I left and felt like Dr. Schmidt truly listened and cared about my concerns.

Do not go here if you’re suffering with any mental health conditions! My daughter used to see Erin Williams who works alongside Schmidt and it was a nightmare. She just had a baby and was suffering from ppd. Not sleeping or eating because she kept having panic attacks. Instead of treating the anxiety, she put her on anti-psychotic meds that she didn’t need. My daughter was in the ER almost every night and even the doctors there told us that it wasn’t right to put her through this. This girl needs more experience before taking on such a huge responsibility. And her attitude is disgusting. What this girl did to my daughter was negligent and inhumane. Don’t waste your time! Wonderful medical staff and right downtown St Marys.

Dr Schmidt is one of the best doctors in the area... he has been my family’s doctor for 40+ years. He is very professional, compassionate, attentive ,understanding , and will go above and beyond to help someone...the staff there do change a lot but I have never ran into anyone rude , everyone there is kind and very professional.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schmidt for 7-8 years. My husband also was his patient. He pays a lot of attention to what you are saying and makes sure you get the tests you need and follows thru with them.. I would highly recommend him for your family doctor. I have never had to wait more than 10 to 15 minutes for my appt. His staff is friendly and very helpful.. If I have to call them they get me an answer very quick. Thank goodness for Doctors like him.

Dr. Schmidt is a true professional who cares about his patients and his community. I would highly recommended him. He has treated myself and my family for many year.

Spends more time with laptop than with patient. Seems like he doesn't even hear me when I try to tell him my symptoms! He is affiliated with Penn Highlands, which is the worst "healthcare" provider I have ever dealt with.
