Dr. Robert Richard

Dr. Richard is a caring, compassionate doctor. Although in the beginning, a bit hard to warm up to because he's a bit quiet, I appreciate his dry humor and admire his expertise.

Dr. Richard has been an excellent doctor! I have MS and have been in his care since 2014. Most recently on my annual MRI, he discovered that I had a brain tumor unrelated to MS. It was cancerous and there are other issues. Were it not for Dr. Richard, it would have gone undetected. Both he and staff are top notch.

Dr Richard, has no bedside manner at all!! He did nerve tests for my suspected neuropathy. He said I had it and then would not sit down with me to discuss what I could do to help the situation. We passed in the hall after the painful procedure and he said, “you probably have diabetes.” I said, my GP had just done a test for that and it was negative. He made no comment and said, I’ll see you in 6 months.” Of course I looked for and found another doctor.

I had frightening neurological symptoms for months and I was so looking forward to receiving help. Instead, Dr. Richard was cold, condescending, and challenged me when I shared factual medical information. It is scary when a person you desperately hope can help you instead acts like they don't believe you and would rather not be there. Why would I spend money I don't have, use PTO hours I'd much rather be spending relaxing, and drive almost two hours round trip to the dr. just to make up symptoms? I left feeling awful and now have to wait an extended period of time before I can see another doctor...all the while dealing with scary symptoms that continue to affect my ability to function.

Dr. Richard has been very helpful in helping me figure out my migraines and daily headaches. He was patient and offered many different options to treat these conditions. The nurse is quick to take patients back and the front staff is very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Richard took the time to ask my mother a lot of questions and then explained her condition and what we can expect in the future. He was very knowledgeable, and I would recommend him.

I was so displeased with my visit with this Doctor. I was sent to him by my physician after other specialists couldn't help me. He basically said sending me for an MRI was too costly at this point and wait and see if I continue to have problems. I was feeling so poorly at that point. I had told him that I felt like I was dying. He really was not helpful. Thank God that my ENT sent me for an MRI and discovered my life threatening BRAIN TUMOR. Two surgeries days later I am forever thankful that my ENT did the MRI. Shame on Dr. Richard.

Dr. Richard told me there was no way I had IIH (a fairly rare condition I had all the symptoms of), scoffed, and dismissed me when I asked him face-to-face. Within 3 months, I had a routine eye exam and was rushed to a specialist, who rushed me same day to a (different) neurologist. I had a fairly severe case of IIH that needed treated with seizure medication, diet, and lifestyle chages, or I could've lost my vision. Luckily, it was caught in time and I am now in remission, but had Dr. Richard investigated my concerns he would've discovered I was actually correct, and sometimes listening to a patient is an okay idea. If you must see him, I hope he listens to you. My turn negative reviewers. Robert Richards provided me everything i need while i was having seizures daily, even emergency medication so i didn't have to go to the hospital everyday. To give me my life back he sent me to John Hopkins to get corrective brain surgery. I no longer have seizures and i owe him for finding me such amazing knowledgeable surgeons to make my disorder disappear. Every case is different. I have recommended Dr. Richards to other people with success in there conditions. I am truly sorry you didn't have a positive outcome in your medical situation non the less. Dr. Richard was the first Neurologist to thoroughly run the correct tests and MRI to be able to diagnose my condition, and has provided excellent care each and every time. I have moved further away, but I will not change to another doctor. Its worth the trip for my health and well being.

Dr. Richard is a caring, compassionate doctor who has been able to help solve the mystery of my migraines. My pain level has gone from a 9-10 to a 3-4. I would highly recommend him.

I have ms and I have flare ups wanted an appointment to see the doctor but the told me they have no time to see me but they will see me in a month. I mean that's not how the doctor truly cares about his patient. I don't even think he really looks at the Mri results that I took my last visit he said the computer does work in the office where I was setting so he went to another room and came back in one min I mean I doesn't take a min to review the Mri results. Not going back there and I don't recommend to anyone going there for treatment. I fell down the stairs last year and suffered head trauma, a very serious concussion, and some fractured/broken bones. I was referred to Dr. Richard because I was experiencing severe vertigo afterwards. I saw him on two occasions and he was friendly, took the time to ask me questions and to explain what he was doing and what particular exercises I should do at home.

Dr. Richards performed a nerve conduction velocity (NCV) 2 part test on my foot. He put 2 needles in my foot, & ran electricity into my foot, (above location where I have 2 screws), causing my ankle to break; bone marrow edema w/bruise to the talar head, as reported in 2 MRIs. He didn't tell me that my ankle was broken, he said my foot and ankle were fine, though my ankle hurt badly. It's been over a year for my ankle to heal w/o his help. Electricity & steel screws don't mix well.Run AWAY

Dr Richard denied my Mom from retiring with disability twice. My Mom used to be active, and energetic woman who was always organized got up early went to bed late and only cared about helping others. After her severe concussion I had to force her to retire. She kept pushing it because she didn't have enough money to retire and didn't think it was her time. I saw her going to bed at 5am every night constantly working because she couldn't think staight like she used to. The one hope she had to retire right was to retire with disability. I have never seen my moms health drop so quickly. I am extremely hurt having to see my mother suffer more and more every day and see our entire family struggle due to one mans writing in a report without really getting to know my mom and her health. I moved from Florida to home to take care of her. Her health gets worse every day and having to go through the process of requesting to retire for disability twice almost killed her. I know people take advantage of disabilities but my mother is the most honest and loving person I know she it never crossed her mind that people would do that. I am truly disgusted that one gentleman didn't ask the right questions to take care of my mom. Don't be a doctor if you don't want to truly help your clients.
