Give the Doctor & staff 5 stars because it was my first time to see the ENT Doctor, I was impressed with the quickness to get us in on the same day. Everyone there was very friendly and professional. I would recommend them to all my friends!

I like the Dr, but they don’t have appt slots for sick patients, they have new patients and follow up slots only. If your sick or having a problem you will have to wait 3 weeks. If your not a new patient and your having a problem, your going to be told to go to the ER , and no they don’t have slots for sick patients. That’s sad, no work in slots for sick patients.

Came to the hospital for an infection in the mastoids - per my ENT who is not this guy. I was unaware my doctor did not have privileges at the hospital I came to so they sent in this quack. The reason I was at the hospital was due to oral antibiotics failing to treat the mastoid infection. He came in and told me I had no such infection. Was extremely condescending and rude. Didn’t even let me talk. Actually put his hand up at me when I did try to talk/answer his question. It’s a shame people like this are in charge of treating patients. Said “I’ve done this a long time and would never treat this way”. Infectious disease has me on broad spectrum IV antibiotics. When he asked the nurse what they were he exclaimed that was too much for just an ear ache and rolled his eyes walking away.

My first visit, very nice, explained and took care of my problem. Very professional. Would refer him .

He came right to the point and relieved my painful ear pain. He is a very good ent specialist. I was glad that I can see him more frequently for I always had ear problems. Thank you dr. Merritt.

Stood in for another Dr. in this clinic. He was a real jerk and pretty condescending. Didn’t really want to discuss my question about the allergy test results. The worst attitude Dr. I’ve ever encountered. It appears my experiences are pretty consistent with most others here.

Condescending, arrogant, waste of time. Didn’t seem at all interested in helping. Tried to sell me on allergy testing, unrelated to my concerns.

Dr. Merritt I would like to thank you for doing a great job on my nose I can breathe and couldn't be happier with the way my nose turned out. Once again thank you Marc Occhipinti

This doctor did not give me any confidence after consulting with him

Nice man, but terrible surgeon. He supposedly repaired my broken nose and deviated septum 5 years ago. I have had problems with breathing and snoring ever since. I recently had a new repair surgery with a different doctor. He saw that my septum was still broken, therefor it had NOT been repaired by Dr. Merritt! Now with my new new repair I can finally breath and not keep my husband awake all night with my previous snoring.

In 77 years as a patient, this is the worst doctor I have ever had examine me. He insisted that I did not have a sore throat WITHOUT LOOKING DOWN MY THROAT! I'd been coughing for two months with sore throat, and he said, "Stop Coughing!" I could not. He also thrust the nasal tube down without any desensitizing... admitted it was red... and again insisted I didn't have anything wrong, "Just stop coughng." Then he told me to come back in a month! Next day GP gave me antihistimine that worked!

Been seeing Dr Merritt for about 4 years now for sinusitis and allergies. He listens and addresses all my concerns with patience and respect. Very friendly and I trust his care. The staff are all friendly and respectable too.

Sorry to say, Will not be back, very not with the program of Patient Care or giving you a chance to say it hurt like hell with the nose scope procedure. Had to go to other office in Sebring for painful throat pain after procedure. They had to give me a shot for inflammation. But they would not admit it was from the procedure, because they are part of the same practice.!! Very unsanitary procedure, the way I saw how it was done. Made me very sick afterwards.

If you want a doctor who is rude, sarcastic, and condescending, this is your guy! I have NEVER had an experience like this before with a medical professional. I truly do not know how he has any patients with an attitude and demeanor like his. I will never go back and if it hadn't been for the audiology test (with an audiologist who behaved and communicated as a professional should) I would have been demanding my copay back! I was so upset by the experience, I have broken out in fever blisters.

Dr Merritt has a great bedside manner. He made sure all my question were answered and the wait to see him was quick. I'd refer all my family and friends to him. I like that he's straight to the point and always smiles. he is a fantastic Doctor! His staff is friendly and introduces themselves and explains in detail what I should expect.
