Dr Maxson is amazing! Our son might not be here today if it wasn't for him! Nearly 5 years ago when Alexander was 8 months old, he had an intussusception. The whole experience was very scary and definitely something that we'll never forget. Dr. Maxson was very reassuring every step of the way and made sure we understood everything that happened during those long three months. I could never thank him enough for saving our son. Hopefully one day we'll get to see him again!

Dr. Maxson saved my son Jonah's life in 2008 shortly after helping to establish the trauma center at Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, TX. He not only saved Jonah's life, but likely his leg. My son had been impaled by a bamboo spear which severed his femoral artery. Jonah made a complete recovery with the only evidence of this traumatic event being a thin scar at the location of the surgery and his lower leg from where the vein was harvested to mend the shredded artery. Thank you!!
