Dr massa only cares about one thing money . He orders tests but can’t or won’t use the tests.he just cares about $.He says bring your mom in to evaluate her, then says he can’t evaluate her. He can’t help anyone maybe I should’ve offered him cash ????

I don't recommend Dr. Massa. He didn't listen, belittled concerns, and did his best to make me feel stupid. I explained that my husband and I were planning to start a family and asked about their role in family planning, and asked for an obgyn referral. In a very demeaning tone, he said that a gyno would "handle all of that" (as if he were disgusted by the idea of having a pregnant woman as a patient) and agreed to get me a referral but made it seem... pointless? As if I couldn't get pregnant? Or didn't need an obgyn? I don't know. To be clear, I wasn't asking him to by my gyno so there was no need for his outright aversion to wanting to discuss family planning. Additionally, I am overweight, but he made several comments about "obesity" and seemed to hyperfocus on my weight. I am not obese and have confirmed that with three other doctors now. I certainly need to lose weight, and I accept that, but this was... overboard. Lastly, the entire visit was very rushed. I'm not sure if he overbooked or just didn't care, but he was trying to get out of that room as soon as he entered. It was the strangest interaction I have EVER had with a doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Massa's for years. He is always very attentive, listens, informs... he is the absolute best in my opinion. A Dr. that practices Western Medicine integrated with acupuncture is tough to find. I have received acupuncture treatment from Dr. Massa and it was amazing. Yes, sometimes you have to wait either in the waiting room or the patient room for a while - but that's because he doesn't rush his patients out the door and spends the time needed.

Dr. Massa saw me after my primary doctor in the same practice moved away. It took me years to seek help for mental illness. I finally admitted I needed help, gathered my courage and made an appointment. He spent all of three minutes pretending to listen to me. I told him I wanted a referral to a physchiatrist for help. He did a brief exam, gave me a GI referral and said I was probably just OCD and would benefit from counseling. (I had JUST told him I had tried counseling and it was not effective and that I have a great GI doc.) I left, got a very confused call from long time GI doctor about a new referral to him and got a call from an OUT OF STATE counseling service who didn't have a single physchiatrist on staff. I called and spoke with his nurse and told her again, I needed a referral to a psychiatrist. She passed the message on and the doctor ignored it. A few weeks later, I attempted suicide. My husband found me unconscious and took me in. I finally got in with a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with bipolar 1 and she said was astounded that I managed to survive the last 20 years without treatment. My previous doctors were prescribing meds that were actually making it worse. I wish I could give this man zero stars. He nearly cost me my life. He also charged me $145 AFTER insurance for this! Dr. Masa isn't great, but he does a good job of what he needs to do, be it refer you out or put you on a simple medication. He is a good listener and he is very compassionate but does tend to rush appointments. Dr. Masa makes a good PCP and family doctor but I would hesitate to expect anything more out of him. His MA, Catherine, is phenomenal.

Love my doctor, professional, no frills and compassionate.

Hes good, he's looking out for my best interests, I don't understand the bad reviews on him. I'm guessing your not a doctor and you think you know more than him.. also I'll bet the house your wrong of course.. can't tell me anything different.. he's good at what he does.. good day..

I've been seeing dr Massa for about a year to help treat anxiety. I'm currently in the process of switching doctors because of several different reasons. First and foremost, he uses fear mongering to get you to follow his recommendations regarding medications. Second, he rushes through appointments and doesn't listen well. He interrupts and you have to wait to finish what you are saying until he's through with his rambling nonsense and then you can finally make your point. Don't recommend.

Dr. Massa is compassionate, has a way of making patients feel comfortable, & is thorough ensuring patient understands diagnosis & recommended medications. He's perceptive & has confidence to enable him to always be open to second opinions - and in fact, often suggests same. He has never rushed through a visit. I have seen many physicians in my lifetime, & will say unequivocally he's the one I have. the most confidence in. I have referred Dr. Massa to many, and will continue to do.

Massa is the worst dr I've ever seen!!!!! Wasted our time. ...my 76 year old mother was having insomnia problems. ...I had time to spend with her to see if I can help. ...what ever medication massa had her on was making her delirious and hallucinating and not letting her sleep. ...so I stayed with her for no more than a week and she is up sleep walking in pain every night thinking she needs a sleeping med bad..mainly cause I have the same condition well next thing I know she falls down breaks a hip from not sleeping .so I went to the Dr's appt for five months with her to see what was going on. .he had her trying every antidepressant med ..which we all know that is a joke unless you are depressed like a lab rat....so I think with me going with her kinda got him to listen for a second. .so he takes her off all the worthless antidepressants starts with a low dose of Ativan which she said was helping alot more than antidepressants, low dose of percocet from the surgery of putting a steel rod all the way down her femor that is exactly what I would be screaming for is a pain killer, she didn't abuse them by no means .....and today I had bronchitis so I couldn't go to the doctor with her...so the worthless dr.changed all her meds back to where she was before i went with her. .....she was having cerious problems not sleeping. .....i dont understand how he can not see this problemam i am back to square one. Now thanx alot MASSA for NOTHING! ! ..but Definitely going to a new dr that will listen and understand insomnia, and conic pain ..........I do not recommend this dr for nothing unless you want to go in circles right back where you started from. ....... ... would NEVER recommend anyone to to see him ... if you're unwell you're expected to wait for his first open appointment which can be 2 weeks away ... no flexability, no open time for patients that need to be seen in next 24 to 48 hours. Polite receptionists but his medical assistant is no knowledgeable, rude and doesn't return calls promptly, sometimes several days later. Dr. rushes through visits, interrupts, misdiagnoses conditions and doesn't seem to care. wouldn't refer anyone to him!!!

Both times I have seen him, he rushed me through the appointment. I came with a list of medications, and the questions I wanted to talk about. Each time I barely made it through my list. Instead of getting a reply to each of my concerns, I got mumbles, and referrals to specialists. I have a clinical background and education, so I understand specialties and know the last referral was not appropriate for my problem. I think this doctor is burned out/checked out. He needs help and a vacation.

His schedule is not flexible enough. I waited 3 weeks for an appointment, and due to circumstances beyond my control, was 5 mins late for my appointment. His heavily tattooed scheduling assistant informed me he couldn't see me b/c he needed a full 30 mins for my appointment. Got news for you Doc... PCP's like you are numerous, If you can't be understanding and flexible in today's market, you can expect your satisfaction scores to decline sharply.Hope that 25 min break was worth it.
