Dr. Robert D Martz

Dr. Martz is fantastic. He treated me so well that I would choose him over anyone else.

I was referred to this office by a spine specialist after I was in a car accident and was suffering from back and neck pain. It is rare that one finds a doctor and staff that is so uncaring and disrespectful. They lost my original referral three different times. After I hand delivered the last referral the person at the desk told me that they wouldn’t even call me if there was nothing they could do because they are “too busy.” While waiting to be seen on the day of my appointment, I saw the front desk person send away four other patients with little to no effort at trying to help them. I was seen 45 minutes after my appointment time, and the PA I saw seemed cold and completely uninvested in my care. At the end of the appointment, she basically told me there was nothing she, nor anyone else, could do except manage my pain with meds (which she said was legitimate). She disagreed with everything the team of physicians who have been treating me for the past two years have said based on her five minute physical exam and brief scanning of my file. She had no idea what provider I would see that would actually do the pain management she thought was necessary, and she made no effort to help me find a practice that would. Such a disappointment. Dr Martz's surgery on my neck (C4-to C6) renewed my life quality. I have spent years talking the Dr up, recommending him to all, who would listen. I think the world of him, and his skill.

I was very fortunate to have Dr. Martz perform two back surgeries on me in 1998.one was to put BAK cages in my spine and the other was for a laminectomy. If not for him I would probably be a paraplegic today. He is an excellent surgeon and I was so lucky to be referred to him. He is very compassionate and attentive. He called to check up on me and promptly returned my phone calls himself. He even scratched the bottoms of my feet for me when they were driving me crazy with itching! What other Dr. does that? I had excellent results although I know I will always have some back pain but that comes with the territory.I am very satisfied with the results and I would shout his praises from the rooftops if need be. You definitely can't go wrong with this great dr.! I was very fortunate to have Dr. Martz perform two back surgeries on me in 1998. One was to put BAK cages in my spine and the other was a laminectomy. He is a very compassionate person and really cares about his patients. He called to check up on me and promptly returned my phone calls himself. He even scratched the bottoms of my feet for me when they were driving me crazy with itching! What Dr. does that? He is so skilled and professional. I am very satisfied with my results! He's the best!!!

I saw Dr. Martz with my mother for her situation and in the ER and hospital for mine. Both times he was incredibly condescending, rude and negative. He is very confusing and does not talk to be understood. He told me that I would be disabled whether I got surgery or not. Yet, I was able to walk again after Dr. Gruber performed the surgery. I understand that he is an incredible surgeon, but I would NEVER allow someone who is so incredibly disrespectful touch me!
