2018 Dr Kowalski did a lumbar fusion at L4 L5 I am grateful for his gentle hands that gave me the ability to walk again.

I have had many surgeries…am an RN x 25 yrs….bad accident made me a cervical fusion and a bad ortho doc made it worse …DrKowalski saved my life!! Excellent surgeon…I am fused anteriorly & posterior from C2 to T2 and have NO NECK PAIN & move my neck side to side etc like i’ve never had surgery….excellent results, excellent staff and excellent outcome!!!! He is an amazing surgeon and wants the best for his patients…you wait a long time because he gives his undivided attention once you get in. There are ONLY a handful of surgeons like Dr K in the world. He has my trust forever.

I’m adding to my review. After being in Kolwaski’s hands I’m now a cripple and have been one since fours years ago when he operated on me. My aftercare was atrocious. They acted like they couldn’t care less. Once the surgery was over, he goes away and you’re left to his minions. Who don’t care much. His office staff blocks you from ever contacting him. I hate him! Dr Kowalski is a terrible doctor yes he spends hours on end with family members to reassure us that everything‘s gonna be fine, he did surgery on my mother and ruined her for life told her that if she doesn’t get the surgery if she gets into any kind of accident it will cripple her, well he crippled her after the intense two day surgery he never went to see my mother to check on her,my father, myself, and my siblings could not get this LOSER on the phone or to return our calls ,My father and my family members kept calling the office because my mother kept having so many problems, My mom has almost died 4 times from choking because the hardware he put in was too big in her neck and now she has a very small throat hole. This doctor did surgery with dirty equipment, had to open neck up take all the infected hardware, Got about 6 different viruses spent 3 years in and out hospitals since surgery in 2017. I was in intensive care, lost my walking ability, and now I have to hole in my neck that drain all the time. The hospital he uses is filthy and this man does not care a bit. Crippled and can't hold my neck up. I am still facing another 12 hour surgery from his carelessness. The reason I know it is his fault the doctors told me all the metal in my neck was contaminated. I wish I could prevent this doctor from ever practicing anywhere, it was to late to do that. He does not even deserve to practice, and the whole staff are mean and talk to you with little respect. He has almost killed me, was so close with 50 percent chance of living. What a joke he is..

Was told in 2016 my nerve was dying once it dies I would be in a wheelchair. He scheduled a surgery in July to go in and remove all 8 levels of hardware and try and fix the damaged nerve. On April 1 one year after a eight level fusion they dropped me from there practice Dr. Scott Webb was the orthopedic surgeon he was fantastic but hardware failed twice and on Oct. 11 2016 there pain management doctor Geers injected me with a shot that was supposed to help 3 days after I was crippled never the same after the shot Was told in 2016 my nerve was dying once it dies I would be in a wheelchair. Extremely good results from a two step surgical replacement of cervical discs c3-c7. Just like nothing had every been wrong immediately after surgery.

Had an ACDF c3/c4 done and ACDF Revision c4-c7. Just like any spinal procedure you’re gonna be hurtin for a bit post op. However 6 months post op, I’m 100% pain free at those surgical sites. Still pending c2 PCDF which I have zero concerns with. Is great with post op pain management and his PA, Heather is the best of the best!

Dr. Kowalski is a life saver. Dr K is the most caring doctor and wants nothing than the best for his patients. Very thorough. You may have a long wait for your appointment but it's worth it He takes the time for you.

Dr. Robert Kowalski is a very talented, genuine surgeon that after 9 months of waiting for the VA to approve me to seek an outside surgeon my Neurologist recommend Dr. Kowalski. He met with me, listened to the pain I was having and had gone through. He assured me with his soft confident manner we will fix this. He restored the use of my left arm & left leg. Ended almost a year of unbearable pain & I knew from the moment I woke up from recovery that I was going to be OK. YES, Dr. Kowalski is hard to track down to thank or hug, that's not why he does it in my opinion. He moves on to the next patient and does what this patient considers a god given talent that helps him perform miracles. Be a good patient & BE PATIENT. Seven years ago, a 4 level ACDF with wonderful results still to this day. I would love to show you my enlarged X-ray because you would have thought my surgery was done in a third world country by a third world Physician. Laminectomy of L2-3 to S1! I have never been out of pain and he ruined my life for a back that was not that bad. I’m trying to get Medial Branch Block to help with the pain that he created. I’m contacting an expert even though my pain management doctor was horrified by what Dr. Kowalski did to me.

Awesome surgeon with a great bedside manner and took very good care of me during my stay at Largo medical center. It was a blessing to run across his path as far as my surgeries considered. I had never had this kind of surgery or any kind of major surgery before. Even up to this point his staff has taken very good care of me. I would refer anyone that has to going through something like this to take his advice and ask his staff for any assistance to help you cope with the situation at hand! My therapist Tj and Donna in the therapy department are AWESOME!!!!! Dr. Kowalski and his staff are a GOD sent! I’ve had three lumbar surgeries from 2/27/2014 to 3/27/2016. I also was infected by a Staph infection at Largo Medical hospital. I thought I was going to die. I was told that if the antibiotics did not clear up the infection that all the hardware in my back that Dr. Kowalski put in from my L2-3 to S1 would have to be removed. Can you imagine? I’m still in excruciating pain and not sure how long I can go on like this. I know there are horror stories with many back surgeries i thought Kowalski....

It was two years ago today that I endured six hours of lumbar surgery, four hours in the recovery room, and weeks in the hospital and rehab unit. This journey was unbelievably difficult for the first few months. Friends who advised me that it might take up to a year to recover were correct up to a point. At the second anniversary of my surgery, I now feel pretty damn good! Things are not perfect, but I am very happy that I had the operation.

At age 60 I began suffering from a variety of physical symptoms as I lost energy and clarity of mind. I chalked it off to "getting old" until I ended up in the E.R. Consultations and extensive lab testing with 5 doctors and specialists produced no diagnosis. In May 2017, I found Dr. Kowalski’s K3 Neuroscience Optimized Wellness practice in Tampa. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kowalski.. He is not the typical neurosurgeon - he takes the time to explain the problem, some of my appointments with him lasted more than 1.5 hours. Thanks to him I can walk today, after preforming a 4 level neck fusion. Only downside - it takes months to see him - to get an appointment as new patient can take up to 4 months. But once established, it is not an issue. I would recommend him to anyone!

Performed 5-level lumbar surgery that left me a paraplegic. While the surgery went fine, his post-operative care and follow-up was non-existent. Through two surgical procedures, I have only seen the doctor 2 times, one of which was at 9:30 pm when I was under sedation. He didn't even have the courtesy to visit with my husband who was waiting in the surgical waiting room post surgical. He did not personally check on me after the surgery, and consequently I suffered a seroma around my spinal cord.
