Where do I begin ?? !! My 2nd appointment was a nightmare. I waited 2 hours and 20 minutes past my appointment time. Dr Hozman is scattered and always in a hurry. I did not feel confident in his ability to diagnose me..Also, they lost my blood test results and didn't scan them in electronically. The receptionist, Jay, was very dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. The office was very messy and unorganized. Do not waste your time seeing this doctor !!

Dr. Hozman is an extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, and compassionate doctor who demonstrates a sincere interest in the health and well- being of his patients. He works collaboratively with his patients to address and rectify health concerns. Indeed, his office is often packed and there is an unusual long wait. However, this is the result of Dr. Hozman being a sincere and trustworthy doctor who is outstanding in the medical field.

Don’t even know where to start. What a caring, trustworthy, smart and compassionate physician. I know I am in good hands with Dr. Hozman. Without any blood results pointing to the cause of my digital ulcers, Dr. Hozman without question will not give up until I find relief from my pain. While my identity is protected, I will support my evaluation by stating I hold 5 United States Science Patents, one was adapted and parts are used to inspect Military Aircraft, metallurgical predictive status, the other research is in Physics, Electrochemistry, Corrosion Science, and I have best sellers in the box store and wholesale chain. I do not like professionals that won't properly evaluate my health or skimp on blood tests. I sent someone to a different doctor that was closer, they refused to give him tests he did need, and invariably, Dr. Hozman found several deficiencies the others missed. He coordinates well with my other specialist Doctors. I am telling you, sincerely, with the lowered personal attention a growing percentage of medical treaters shows, Dr. Hozman makes his male and female patients feel comfortable. Your kindness will be returned by the great office staff and Dr. Hozman. I am grateful a nationally known specialist originally recommended Dr. Hozman.

Dr Hozman is a terrible doctor and cares about kepping his patients than treating them approproately and timely, he is more about money making than treatment. I am fedup with him. He would not renew medications after 90 days unless you see him again and he gets to charge visitation feea. When I saw other doctors (UOC and U of C, Northwestern) with the same medication before, they would refill without any qualms. He or his office would not renew refills unless i make an unnecessary visit. He has also missed major diagnosis that were critical in a certain situation. Foe example-- his medication Methotrexate waa cauaing liver damage and he caught it much later aftee I raised concerns with liver function testa. A Brilliant Doctor. He found an underlying condition not related to my reason for seeing him. He does very through testing and knows how to treat a person. Him and the interns take time to interview and ask questions.

Dr Hozman was an exceptional doc for my mom from assessment to diagnosis. She has seen her fair share of rheumatologists over the past several years and at last we have a solid diagnosis and treatment plan that is working. Highly recommend.

The minute you walk into a patient room, you are his patient. The minute you walk out of his patient room, you are no longer his patient. It’s the patient’s problem if their insurance company approves only a few medications at a time due to costs. If you want more you have to be seen every 2 weeks & it’s about all medications. If you you reschedule an appointment, you will be punished.

Visited Robert Hozman in way too many occasions, never gave me real solution, only follow ups after follow up visits, real unprofessional and never gave a real unswer to any of the questions I had, save your money and time and go see a real caring doctor. The waiting room was FULL of patients. Even though they were wearing masks, it was a small waiting room and every other office I've been to is calling patients in from their cars to be safe. I did not feel safe with so many patients walking in and out in a tiny waiting room that was full. Dr. Hozman sent a medication in for me, didn't tell me what it was and it turned out to be a medication that caused me excessive nose bleeds. He used profanity when I told him I have to do open MRIs due to claustrophibia. I've tried to give them feedback but cannot reach anyone and their fax machine isn't even working. Dr. Hozman is a wonderful rheumatologist, very understanding and compassionate and will spend time explaining everything until you understand. The office is clean, the employees are professional and very friendly.

My mom has been a patient of Dr Hozman for several years. He is a very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to manager her care while her rheumatoid arthritis got completely out control and she had awful flare up. If you need a smart doctor he is definitely the best one to go to.

I have been Dr. Hozman's patient since the 1990's. He is a great dignotican. Going to him means I don't have to see another doctor for my arthritis. Last year I nearly died but he was relentless in using me. I know waiting times can be long but that's because he gives every patient whatever time they need and he does the same for me. I just bring a book. Wouldn't see anyone else.

He is not a good doctor. Wait times are very long. He wants patients to come back every two weeks. He, nor his staff, ever get back to you with test results, referrals, or next steps in your illness/pain recovery. Even though you can get to see him the same day or next day for an appointment, it's not worth it. Find another doctor.

After seeing about 7 different types of doctors for the numbness, swelling weakness and pain, sometimes excruciating that I had in all my joints I went to see Doctor Hozman! He was shocked that I had no diagnosis after all my doctor visits. I should have went to see him first. when first walked into his office his team was so efficient and he did alot of blood work which done right in his office then sent me for x rays. i got a dignosis of R A within 2 weeks.i feel like he has given me my life back now on Enbrel and walking again. the whole team is very dedicated and care about the patients. especially Dr. Hozman he is a Wonderful Man!

I initially had a hard time getting an appointment but am so glad there was an availability. Dr. Hozman went above and beyond treating me. He listened to how my pain was affecting my quality of life and mental health and took it into account when he made my treatment plan. I would highly recommend Dr. Hozman to anyone who needs a highly experienced and compassionate rheumatologist.

I have been treating with Hozman fo overt 20 years and I have always found him to be patient, excellent listener, a great medical partner for those who are serious about their health care. Office visits will run long because he does spend time with you to clearly understand what’s going on with you and your family.

I have been a patient and of Dr Hozman for the last 22 years, and have referred numerous people to him. To my knowledge everyone he treated was very satisfied, and especially in my own case, he was very instrumental in my complete recovery. Also any time I needed a specialist his recommendations have always been "only the Best". Needless to say the somewhat longer waiting periods that can sometimes be experienced are well worth it.

Don't waste your time going to Dr. Hozman. I would not recommend him to anyone. If you have a chronic, invisible illness he will tell you that you're depressed and will do nothing for you. I was hoping for more understanding since he works with people who have chronic illnesses. If you call the office expect to wait on hold for an excessive amount of time. If you do visit him expect to wait in the waiting room for an excessive amount of time, all for a short and pointless visit.

When I first met with Dr. Hozman I wasnt in the best of health. He got me on track and made sure I was taking the correct medication for my diabetes. Never once has he let me down and has always made sure I was as healthy as I could be.

I have been seeing Dr. Bob for many years. He has always come through for me with any questions or help that I have needed. The front office team he has now are also excellent. I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes for an appointment. Not sure where some of these negative reviews are coming from.

Dr. Hozman is an excellent and thorough doctor. He has traced problems with both me and my daughter. I had taken my daughter to specialists who were unable to find any issues. After a few rounds of blood tests and an exam Dr. Hozman was able to find the root cause. Definitely top marks in my book!

Dr. Hozman is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors alive, he consistently works hard to ensure that all of my questions are answered and that my concerns are alleviated.

If i could give this post a zero i would. His staff claims to have sent me a bill over the course of 4 years. I never received a bill or phone call. Here we are 4 years later in 2019 and theyre trying to collect an outstanding balance. First of, the staff was rude off the bat. Ross and maggie in particular. I will admit Ross was patient and gave me time to call my insurance company to figure out what happened....which i appreciate. However, Maggie left me rude messages and each time she left a message she threatened to send me to collections. Dr. Hozman is decent, the wait to see him is dreadful and his new staff is just rude as hell! The office ran better when Carmela was there. Dr. Hozman is the absolute worst. Don't make any other plans on the days you have an appointment! He will keep you there hours beyond your scheduled time. I require medication that cannot be abruptly stopped. Doing so can cause adrenal failure and other serious issues. I have talked with the office three times this week trying to get the prescription refilled. It is now Friday and I am still waiting for a refill. My prescription runs out on Sunday. Hey Haters, Dr Hoz is The Man. You can’t find a more knowledgeable and respected rheumatologist in the Midwest. Of course you’re gonna wait a little bit longer as he spends quality time with ALL of his patients. I don’t get it, you’ll waste four hours in the rain waiting in line for Springsteen tickets but complain about 30 minutes extra for someone who is genuinely concerned about keeping you on the planet. He is the most devoted doctor you'll ever find. Smart, competent, and he has a big heart... Super compassionate. He is a great Rheumatologist and internist. He'll keep testing until he gets to the bottom of it. He never gives up.

Dr. Hozman is a very dedicated physician. I am really appreciative for the care he provided my brother from his pre-op physical, to seeing my brother in the hospital and in rehab. Than he helped him to connect with a Physician when he returned to his home state. Yes, this is a busy office, but once you are in with the Doctor, he is focused on the patient and their issues.

Prior to Dr. Hozman I tried several doctors who specialize in Rheumatoid Arthritis, since I have had sever pain in most of my joints, coupled with sever back pains from a car accident, I must say, second to none Dr. Hozman understands his patients and takes a genuine interest into making your life better, both on a physical and psychological level, because he also cares about the depression that follows people with limited mobility. Dr. Hozman has been my primary doctor and my rheumatologist for many years. He is a wonderful, caring doctor, and has always had time to discuss my issues. Dr. Hozman is that rarest of modern day Physicians for whom the constraints of time and policy don't prevent he and his students from having a full, revealing and complete conversation that elicits the history necessary to practice Internal Medicine, the way it was conceived. He is a very very smart Doctor, with a kind, caring and sincere affect, that makes me, and his other patients feel calm and informed. He also has great professional relationships with Physicians of other specialties. that he refers patients to, when necessary. I feel very safe in his capable hands, and tell my discerning friends and family, to make appointments with him. they all respect, like and trust him. I highly recommend him.

His office is amazingly incompetent and absolutely uncaring. They routinely lose records and test results. They're hostile to you and resent having to talk to you at all. You'll never get to talk to the doctor if you call. The doctor himself doesn't bother to check patient history, and thinks noting of dosing you with x-rays over and over, even if you've just had them done. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The staff are very helpful and I was able to get an appointment as a new patient . I felt very comfortable discussing my painful Arthritis and having the opportunity to function with out pain . Dr Hozman and staff also work hard to make sure I have access to my biologics for RA .

Dr Hozman helped me manage my Raynaud’s better!

After waiting 30 minutes in Room, Doc comes in the room and ask me how I felt! And I told him not good I didn’t have no refills, then ask me what was the name of my insurance and who is my pharmacy! So I told him who! Then he blast out of the room!! Then and came back in with a sample Medication that dose not work me!! I told him that the medication dose not help me with the pain !! WORST experience of my life! From the second I walked in down to the second I walked out. I stood at the front desk for 15 minutes when no one else was being attended. The girl seemed more interested talking about a patient that was not happy with the freebie products. Finally asked the guy to help me and he spoke to me like he was too busy to be bothered. Proceeded to wait another 30 minutes to be taken to a room. I was asked a lot of questions and then walks in the extremely arrogant doctor hozman and barely let's me complete a sentence. I read the horrible reviews but due to the fact I receive Medicaid right now AND WANTED TO BELIEVE EVERYONE DESERVES A CHANCE I decided to see him. Office was a mess. Paperwork on floor...staff all packed into tiny office. Though front desk young man was kind. The interns were super nice and informative. My latest problem is that I cannot get copies of my own medical records after numerous mailings, I stopped in and dropped off, then followed up with calls(6 wks I’ve been waiting so far). Unfortunately every time I come into the office even for routine work, the wait is always extensive. An hour , hour and a half wait to be brought in the back and wait a minimum of a half hour for a 10 mib visit. It's frustrating. Staff are always on the go. You never feel like you're truly being heard or listened to. Recently , I left medical forms to be filled out. They requested the date I needed them to be filled. They advised they would. Fast forward 3 weeks later they still are not completed. And now they are advising a $35 per page fee .there are 10 pages. So not only was I not informed my forms have been sitting there. Dr Hozman is one of the best clinicians/ diagnosticians I've ever met.

Great Dr does extensive testing when one test fails he try’s something else and keeps going also did not try to over medicate me with all kinds of drugs

I had gone to ortho they told me I had carpal tunnel to get a surgery . Dr Hozman gave me anti inflammatory meds and shot and I was back to normal again ! Thank you

I’ve been seeing Dr Hozman for a couple years now, dealing with my arthritis. He’s wonderful not many doctors these days actually care. He is a caring wonderful man. Feel very fortunate to have found him!

I was so lucky to have Dr Hozman as my internist in 2018 when stress related issues caused myriad issues including complex neurological, neuropsychiatric, neuroendocrine, digestive and chronic pain.syndromes of unclear etiology. He saved my life twice as my internist this past year, the second time was from suicide when I sunk into despair from chronic pain and accompanying depression and isolation. Even though my issues were outside his purview he gave my case his all and his intuition decisions on treatment were right on target. He is seasoned and highly intelligent, with clinical acumen, objectivity and an uncanny sixth sense in honing in on diagnoses, treatment protocols and with pharmacology made correct judgment calls. Moreover, he is highly empathetic. He demonstrated great integrity as a physician and individual. After my case was literally abandoned by several specialists, despite having a large and busy practice he took over and gave my case his all - because he knew my life was at stake. He literally saved me from death at age 51 - and averted a tragedy in the untimely death of the mother of a 16 year old boy. I don't have words to express my gratitude to Dr Hozman. Been patient for more than 10 years. Doctor Hosman keeps me stable. Very good bedside manner, always explaining treatment way I can understand. During visit Dr Hosman pay attention to me and not tipping to my face like every doctor doing lately. Easy to request refills and schedule appointment. Last week I developed some pain . I called office and they scheduled me for next day. Pain started to be uncomfortable and I decided to stop by office. It’s been end of the day and Doctor just finished last appointment. Dr Hozman is the most caring and professional physicians I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I was lucky enough to find him and have him treat me for chronic pain I've had for many years. I had severe arthritic pain in my right hand and Dr Hozman injected it and I am able to use my hands pain free . His staff is very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend Dr Hozman
