Dr. Robert Kenjiro Higa

Dr. Higa is an excellent endodontist -- the best I've ever encountered. He is totally aware and concerned with the prospect of pain and discomfort which surgical treatment can cause, and does everything possible to minimize it. His skills are incredible. Although it is rarely mentioned, endodontic surgery takes strength -- and he has that. The result is that where others may cause much more pain because they are struggling to move a tooth, he can carefully apply force in a way that does not cause pain or discomfort. And he always makes that a primary goal. I would unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone, even those who are generally afraid of treatment within his specialty. One other comment: Dr. Higa's office staff shares his concern for patients, and they do everything possible to make patients comfortable.

Danger Rip-off, charged $1200 for a simple 15 minute root canal......beware

Dr. Higa is an outstanding endodontist - certainly the best I've ever been to in Riverside. This review is written just one day after he performed a difficult root canal procedure, one complicated because I'd had the procedure done by another endodontist years ago, after which I simply continued with a temporary crown -- and the tooth became re-infected. Frankly, I dreaded having the procedure. Dr. Higa took several hours to perform the procedure, during which I had no pain. I certainly expected to have some when the local anesthetic wore off, and more for a few days afterward. Yet I've still experienced zero pain or discomfort. I'm certain that Dr. Higa's skill and care is the reason. The staff are all very friendly and efficient, and willing to accommodate patients, and office is cheery and spotless. Amazing in every way, nothing but class. So good at what he does, and his office staff is just as great.

Wonderful experience! Hard to believe that I just described a root canal but I did! Dr. Higa is very professional, great listener, swift and gentle. His staff complete the visit. They are caring, sensitive to your needs and extremely friendly. Chantelle is lovely and so helpful. This could have been a stressful experience but because of the professionalism and empathy of the entire staff, it turned out " great". I am most appreciative.

Dr. Higa is the most gentle pain free dentist I have ever visited!
