Dr. Gross is an excellent surgeon. I found him to be helpful and knowledgeable. He saved my eyesight with cornea transplants!

We saw Dr Gross because our regular cornea specialist was unavailable. We will NEVER go back to him again. He was rude, condescending, totally disregarded my post-surgery questions making me feel like my concerns were insignificant and petty. He had a script and did not deviate from it. Any response I did get from him was rude and abrupt. For someone in the medical field he was anything but empathetic and caring.

My visit was like all the other (negative) reviews. Dr. Gross is rude and not sympathetic to his patient's needs or questions. He hurries you out of his office. He spends minimal time on your issues yet boasts of his accomplishments. I have seen eye doctors all over the country and have still not found someone I trust my eyesight to. Hence the reluctance to have Dr. Gross go any further than a consultation.

Excellent surgeon and I would go to him again for the cornea transplants. He can be brusque and impatient but he is thorough and does answer all questions. If he is rude, don't take it personally. Just listen carefully to all he says so you don't have to ask him to repeat.

I agree with the other feedback. He may be well educated and informed, but his communication style is just terrible. He aggressively pushes surgery and it’s impossible to have a conversation with him. He talks fast, interrupts, and is condescending. Just never feel comfortable with our interactions.

Dr. Gross is The Gold Standard in ophthalmology. He is a stellar practitioner who cares deeply and displays infinite patience with the care of each patient.

My first impression is that he is on amphetamines. He is really hyper and does not want you to say anything at all. Talking a 100 miles per hour. I went in for cellulitis and he did not want to see before or after photos. Told me the doctors at the hospital did no diagnose me properly. Would not let me talk until he was finished saying whatever he had to say. I think he is RUDE. I will never return. A really bad first impression. Hurried me out of the office.

The Google reviews do not lie. They made my driver leave the building, but let people use the washroom without sanitizing their hands first. No one checked anyone for fevers. Shameful

This man put a ventilator on my daughter saying she will die without it she was one years old , and scared me and well he put her on a breathing machine he never explained the risk , she is now passed away. I wish I never went to this monster . He is a monster well Noel passed. I said as a mother she had a virus he didn’t listen and felt a force to put ventilator on her

Had an app’t with dr. Gross and he put a punctal plug in the lower left eye/he screwed it up. Now my lower puncta is closed. My opinion of Dr. Robert Gross is as follows. He has no patience. He has his office staff Overbook consistently. The man gives a S—-Less about his patients, what floats his boat is nothing but the almighty Greenback! It would behoove you to stay the hell away from this person/BAD NEWS!!! They should take away his Medical Licence.

Very professional grat knowledge and care.

I will not recommend this doctor to anyone I care about. It’s unfortunate that my mom did not have much of a choice for her corneal transplant surgery. I’ve been taking her to post op appointments and he’s been sarcastic, rude, and impatient. He’s even argued with my mom that she didn’t follow his instructions on post op care. So today I asked him to provide written instructions. He said to wait for the nurse to provide it. He left us and didn’t tell the nurse. He should be barred! Zero stars!

I saw Dr. Gross for an exam the day after a surgery performed by his associate Dr. Dao. This was my only experience with Dr. Gross. Gross was rude and arrogant. When I moaned a bit about having to take multiple drops 4X a day and would have to have my caregiver come additional times to help with the drops, Gross leaned into my 92 y/o face and shouted, "What?! You can't put drops into your own eyes?!" Gross made additional rude remarks in answer to my questions. Stay away.

I thought it was just me. I just recently went to Gross (i can't call him dr., i don't have that respect for him) to have a check up because of a recent examination that worried me. I waited 5 weeks to see this man, this rude, condescending man, who's my age and talked to me like I was a child. I heard he's the best at what he does; maybe that's the cause of his arrogance. I have one more visit before my eye surgery. If he pisses me off one more time, I will call everything off.

I have been seeing Dr. Gross regularly for 14 yrs. Unfortunately something has changed. He is rude and demeaning and has been for the past few years. He should Improve his attitude and demeanor if he plans to keep practing medicine

My appointment was at 915. Arrived early to fill out paperwork. Got into the room about 930, Dr Gross didnt arrive until 1015. No apology just how are you. Started asking about what eye medications I was taking and when. I started to tell him who prescribed what and was cut off and told he did not care who gave them to me. He QUICKLY explained how he was going to take a culture and he said they would numb my eye and I said so I wont feel anything. He says Thats what numb means and on it went

He explained everything very well. After visiting Dr. Gross I'm not as worried about my eyes as I used to be. A Dr. at J.C. Lincoln hospital's ER made an appointment with Dr. Gross, late at night, and I was seen by Dr. Gross at 8:30 a.m. next morning. I would recommend Dr. Gross to my family and friends.

Dr. Gross did the cornea transplants on each of my eyes. The skill this Dr. has is incredible. The improvement of my vision is life changing. The care he has provided since the surgeries has given me complete peace of mind. I know I am very fortunate to have Dr. Gross as my eye care professional. I am sincerely grateful.
