Dr. Engl was super nice and did a great job taking my wisdom teeth out.

I went to him for my wisdom teeth extracted & a molor extracted. Great doctor. I need another molor extracted, but I don't know if he is open during this pandemic, no answer on his office phone.

Would find another surgeon if you could receptionist is a very rude sadistic woman, didnt even continue get work done there

I've had my wisdom teeth pulled there (1 was impacted) and a couple others done. Pulled them effortlessly and quickly with very little pain and one of them barely bled and I didn't even take medication afterwards! Had another one pulled somewhere else and problem with that tooth for a month. Highly recommend his services!

My experience with Dr. Engl (2 years ago) and his staff was great. I had one molar pulled. His dental assistant was super nice. The doctor came and explained what he was doing. My tooth was out in the blink of an eye. I've been to doctors whose office was pristine and probably cost a million bucks, but the doctor was a flaming azzhat and quack. Would not recommended, even to an enemy .

Loved Dr. Engl and his assistant. His receptionist is rude and condescending! I was a new patient and was having trouble with my new insurance and she was embarrassing in front of other patients in the waiting room! It was a horrible experience! Standing in the reception area feeling belittled while I was actually drooling from the extraction! Decency and respect count for a lot!!!

Had to get a molar pulled several months ago. His assistant was super nice & very good. Dr. Engl was excellent. He was reassuring and got the tooth out efficiently. Why he keeps the nasty receptionist around is a mystery. But I liked the doctor and made an appointment for my husband's extractions.

The receptionist is unprofessional and rude. Spoke to her over the phone on 2 separate occasions and both times she had a nasty attitude.

Was not please with doctor. Pulled my.2 teeth very rough and rude. Left.part of.my tooth left.in.my mouth. His receptionist was very rude.

Told me every step that was going to be done in pre consult. Then day of appt. was just as thorough. Completely satisfied with staff. Office could use an update though.

Dr Engl is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. He explains everything he's doing. Staff is very nice and helpful! I fully recommend Dr Engl if you need a tooth extracted. People complain about the inside of the office and how dirty it is. It's not bad at all! He takes many health insurance. If you have to pay, it's not too expensive. This very old miserable, insecure man will give u a bad experience. He is dismissive , condescending, and arrogant. He will put u thru extra unnecessary pain to get his revenge. His office smells like an old jail cell and No a.c. Please believe me this is no place for anyone. I wouldn't let him work on my dog, seriously

I went for an extraction on Friday. The staff was aware that I was nervous but the operation was necessary so they made it very easy for me to relax and they were very friendly. I called in to make an appointment and The secretary was so rude every time I asked a question she gave me a snippy answer. For instance she asked when I would like an appointment and I asked what was the earliest availability where she replied I already told you Tuesday Thursday or fridays. I then said ok how about Friday March 20 at 10 am then. She then replied well we don’t have that day available it’s already scheduled. She was nothing but rude. I will tell anyone I know not to go there!

Dr Engl and his staff were great, he was very understanding and patient with my nervousness. i had tried to get in with another dentist but the wait time was months even though i had a badly infected tooth that needed to be taken out. I called Dr Engl's office and they got me in the next day. everything went smoothly. I highly recommend him. Office secretary and the tech were all great!

Dr. Engl did both my extraction and implant surgery. I was scared for both. He explained and showed me everything. Talked to me during the entire procedure. Both were pain free. I highly recommend him and his staff.

She was nasty to me and accused me of everything being my own fault for waiting too long because I had to wait for my referral through insurance. don't take your kids if they have any anxiety, this Dr. has no patience for kids that are nervous he was horrible to my 16 year old and when i said something to the secretary her response was "is what it is" we see this all the time. too bad hes a good Dr. if your a perfect patient! and his staff especially Barb is as rude as he is!

His staff is rude. I had my surgery a week ago and I'm having problem after problem. I've been yelled at for going to my dentist for help. I was told I cannot cancel my appointment dispute the fact that I can't open my jaw. I wouldn't recommend him even to my worst enemy.

Very good dental surgeon. Very reasonable pricing. The office does not look like much but that's why his prices are reasonable. I had a difficult tooth extraction. I would recommend this oral surgeon to anyone! I was in the worst pain in my life, I swear I was and Dr. Engl was very very polite and professional because the pull was absolutely pain free! Definitely the best dentist in the Buffalo area. I went to stellar on hertel ave first and they were so so bad, I was in excruciating pain and couldn't help but moan and make noises and the one woman dentist literally told me to shut up.. I walked right out!! So that being said Dr. Engl saved the day today!! I would recommend this oral surgeon to anyone! I needed two teeth pulled. I walked in and was not impressed by the waiting room. The office manager was very professional. The doctors aid was rather bright and informative. She answered questions I didn't know I really wanted to know. Then the Dr. Came in and with a firm handshake introduced himself. He ran down the list of events as if he'd done them 1000's of times. He was informative and antisapated my needs without missing a beat. Both teeth came out sooooo Nicely. Thx.

Put me at ease with explanations and just made me feel comfortable while procedure was being performed and specific instructions on how to take care of my mouth during healing process

Dr Engl was a godsend for my wisdom teeth. All 4 impacted were removed in less than an hour while I travelled to Jupiter in the chair with the wonderful combination of Versed, Fentanyl, and Nitros. His bedside manner is rushed and seems forced and anxious, but that's just who he is. All questions are answered and explained to you, but keep in mind his rushed anxious demeaner may seen like he doesn't care, but he really does. He is one of the few surgeons left in the area that tells it like it is. He will tell you right off the bat if you aren't ready for the surgery, then you're not ready and won't schedule an appointment with you. If you want to be coddled and babied this isn't the surgeon for you, but I assure you with the sedation you won't care and in no time all your problems will be solved. I was in no way a perfect patient, Jaded from years of exposure to Dentists and oral surgeon's who obviously need more training. He pulled 3 teeth one a wisdom tooth. As well as removing some remnants of 2 others. I opted for the gas don't think I needed it! He works miracles I was operated on Thursday, Saturday evening I was eating steak! Fast as tic work! I haven't had any kind of surgery or major medical procedures ever, so having 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed at 32 was a bit of a big first step! Dr.Engl and his staff were personable, wonderful, and were able to dispel what little anxiety I had and did a fantastic job on my surgery. Dr.Engl did a fantastic job explaining exactly what was going to happen during the consultation, and then gave me a step by step during the progress of the extractions...I even got to keep two of the teeth that were still whole :-) They gave me a neat little care package to take home with me, and my scripts were waiting for me already when I got to the pharmacy! You get a choice between just a local anesthetic, local + laughing gas, or that and sedation. I like to be fully aware of my surroundings, so I just went with the local anesthetic and it was perfectly fine. Dr.Engl was so awesome during the procedure because he answers questions that are running through your mind without even having to try and mumble something. I give Dr.Engl and his staff 5 stars, and would definitely recommend them to any friends or family that need to have their wisdom teeth extracted! Took out the top two wisdom teeth. Came out happier than when I went in. Robert Engel is the man.

This man and his staff are absolutely terrible. My daughter had 4 wisdom teeth pulled and had major pain from the time of surgery to 10 days later. I took her back to Dr. Engl and he refused to answer any questions as did his staff as to what we could do for her, possible alternate pain relieving methods, (clove oil), anything. Would not even allow me to finish a sentence. - My daughter was crying and he got angry with her. --- Finally took her to another oral surgeon who said Dr. Engel's stitches and overall methods were very poor quality in his opinion.
