Woke up one morning and couldn't walk nor breath. I was rushed to the hospital with blood clots in both lungs and both legs. Dr. Cooney performed emergency surgery basically breaking apart the clots then I ha a filter inserted in the largest vein in my stomach to catch the remnants of the clots. Dr. Cooney is very kind, good natured, and really knows his profession. He saved my life and I highly recommend him.
Placed a chest tube. Very pleasant and professional. Put me at ease to know I was in good hands
As far as my experience with Dr Cooney, he is AMAZING! He was called in on his day off after a hospital's IR team spent 2 hours and still could not place a guide wire for me to have my PCNL surgery. He even waited until I was awake and in my hospital room to introduce himself and let me know what he had done and what would then be completed for my surgery the next day. He answered all my questions in a calming knowledgeable manner. I only wish I could find a primary care doctor as wonderful. He gets the top possible score from me. DI - Mesa, AZ

Dr. Cooney is the most patient doctor I have ever had. He has the greatest bedside manner I have ever encountered. He always explained what is happening during a procedure so you are comforted.
Dr Cooney scores the highest marks with his surgery with me and his communication. I needed him to fix a surgery that was bungled by another surgeon in Phoenix and Dr Cooney and his staff did an exemplary job. I am grateful for his services and would recommend him for everyone with radiology needs. He is Tops.
