Dr. Robert H. Berland

Sat in the waiting area for 45 minutes for the doctor to tell me he wouldn’t see me. Don’t waste your time folks.

I was sent to Dr. Berland after a work related injury. I waited for over 45 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. Once in his office he was acting like I was wasting his time. Each question he asked me I never got to answer because he kept cutting me off...I was unable to finish a sentence. He is very old school and wrote with pen on lined paper as much as he could about why I was there and what my primary doctors were doing to treat me. He took little time to even look over my paperwork and test results from my other doctors.... I was told to bring these with me to my appointment...( very important). He began to sway off topic asking questions about unrelated health issues. I had to finally stop him..." None of this is related to why I am here in your office today Doctor....Let's go back to why I am here". He took me into an examination room and told me to sit on the exam table. He checked reflexes and blah, blah,blah. Then I was told to lay on the table for further examination. There was no protective paper or covering on this exam table and the instruments he used for the exam were just lying on crumpled paper towels on his desk...i doubt anything had been cleaned in awhile. His demeanor was cold, and rude. The man is way past the age of retirement and really does not to appear to like his job. I will not be going back to Dr Berland. I will not recommend him. Very Knowledgeable and Caring Doctor.This Honest Doctor is well Respected for his work. One of the best Doctors in CT. If you care about your loves ones bring them to this caring Doctor. Highly Recommend This Doctor! Over 60 years of experience!

Very rude and unprofessional! I could say a lot more but if you can’t say something nice you shouldn’t say anything at all

Very disappointed, especially because my physical therapist recommended this neurologist. I went in thinking maybe I can get some help with the migraines/eye pain I’ve been having since a very bad car accident about 3 weeks ago. Dr Berland was more interested in asking me 20 times whether I was employed or not, I’m a stay at home mother (as of a month ago due to my bf getting a promotion, I decided I’d go back to college in Jan since our financials could be covered by him) when I said “when I get home at the end of the day” Dr berland condescendingly says “get home from where? You don’t work”. When he asked about my hospital visit after the accident I explained how “they didn’t do much for me at that time” he says “what we’re they supposed to do?” I may only be 24 years old but I’m not blind to someone being unprofessional, and as a man HIS AGE I’d expect a little more respect. After reading the reviews i was scared to go see dr berland. However. After making my apt his assistant Tina was awesome. I felt better. Then i saw the doctor. No wait. Tina was there prepared. Dr berland is straightforward. Extremely smart. Very thorough. And he even made some jokes and smiled. Great neuro Doctor. Don’t expect some young chitter chatterer. Lets just start off by saying that this Dr. needs to retire! He is rude & has the bedside manner of Hitler!

Very nice! one of the best doctors in ct. very understanding and Knowledgeable! will highly recommend this doctor to you and your love ones.

Waiting a very long time in waiting room. My appointment was at 9:30am and the doctor walked into the office at 9:41am.
