As a medical professional myself I was extremely disappointed with the level of care.

Dr Viscarello is hands down the very best. He is thorough, knowledgeable, proactive, and compassionate. He took all of my concerns seriously and always took the time to listen and explain things in great detail. After difficult experiences in the past, I was put at ease during this pregnancy knowing I couldn’t be in better care than I was with Dr Viscarello, Shirley, and the whole team at Maternal Fetal Care. For context my first child was born at 25 weeks (before Dr V.) and this time I am bringing home a healthy, full term baby. I fully attribute this to him and his team.

Dr viscarello is smart, exceptionally bed side, the best doctor ever!!! Highly Recommend.

I wish I could give more stars. I've never felt so cared for as I have been by Dr Viscarello and his team. Our first visit we were referred by my regular OB as we thought I had a small subchorionic hematoma but upon review, it was huge. Dr Viscarello spent an hour and a half sitting with us discussing our case in great detail and with great care. He made time to answer all of our questions and did not make us feel rushed, but reassured. We had to be closely monitored which meant weekly visits (or more) so I got to know everyone well. The nurses are kind, considerate, thoughtful, knowledgeable and genuine. Dr V is amazingly patient, intelligent and compassionate. The office is extremely busy and so is Dr V. This is something to be aware of as no doctor's office is perfect and they have a lot to manage. That being said, it's worth the wait to be seen by this fantastic team. My delivery was slightly complicated, but Dr V checked in day and night in person. He knew my situation and risk factors and demonstrated excellent decision making and quick thinking which resulted in a successful labor/delivery and beyond experience. My six week checkup was thorough and Shirley was simply the best. Cannot sing their praises enough! I wish I could give more stars. The best care I've ever experienced. Would 100% recommend them. They take all the time out for you and give you reassurance about everything.

Dr. Viscarello is the best of the best! There is absolutely no comparison for the level of care, compassion, and sincere dedication that he gives to each and every patient. Dr. Viscarello delivered my son while I was going through a really traumatic time in my life. His mission was to always make sure that I was okay and that my son would make it into this world. Dr. Viscarello saved my life in many ways. He, his lovely wife, the staff and sonographers make a terrific team. I am honored to know him and still, almost four years later, be a part of the maternal fetal care team. I can never ever thank you enough! Toni P.

He is such a really good doctor, very polite & caring.. whenever I need his guidance or have any stress he will ensure that everything is fine with me & my baby..

Doctors are nice but front desk and stuff are not friendly at all.

Dr. V is someone I trusted my life and my twins' lives with. I would do it again. I had several complications that started at about 24 weeks of my pregnancy. I'll never forget how he sat with me to explain everything and made sure I felt comfortable with the decision. The entire staff Shirley, Cassandra, Lexie and all the nurse practitioners were well aware of my case along with Grace and Daphney who are very lovely and helpful. This office communicates incredibly well. I've never seen an office thrive so well. MY DELIVERY was scary I had a lot of anxiety.. and it all went away as Dr. V and the father of my kids talked me through it. The whole team worked well. Everyone at Stamford Hospital truly respects Dr. V. After my Delivery I needed a blood transfusion and I was TERRIFIED. I was too weak and lost so much blood but Shirley reassured me and I regret not doing it sooner! have been going to this office at least once a week since mid pregnancy and I can say I have so much love and appreciation for everyone. Dr. Viscerello takes so much time with me at each appointment (literally sometimes over an hour if that is what it takes to explain things accurately), He is so smart and so careful and I could not have had better care during my high-risk pregnancy. After delivering my 1st child extremely premature then two miscarriages, I was very nervous about this pregnancy. But he and his staff made sure nothing went undetected and that the fetus was as safe as possible. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Viscerello and his team.

The office is very slow in providing all the reports. I have been communicating with them with signed consented letter for more than 10 days and I havent seen the report yet. The staff and the doctors are not friendly.

I became a patient of Dr. Viscarello’s after experiencing two pregnancy losses in a different state and moving to Connecticut. Very simply put, Dr. Viscarello is the best, I trust him fully, and I’d 100% recommend him to anyone. He and nurse practitioners Shirley and Cassandra and their staff expertly and compassionately shepherded me through my third pregnancy, which was complicated. I was monitored very closely and truly felt I received exceptional care. Dr. V is the only doctor at his practice so obviously very busy and while I didn’t get to see him in person very often, the one-on-one meetings we did have were awesome, and he was available to meet with me when it really counted, especially during that last week of my pregnancy while I was on bedrest in the hospital. He would even stop by late at night to touch base. And either Shirley or Cassandra would stop by every morning. (And let me tell you, literally every nurse I talked to in the Labor & Delivery and Maternity wards highly respects him or thinks he’s the best at what he does or has some special personal story about him! It was kind of stunning.) I never felt rushed and genuinely enjoyed and was enlightened by our conversations. And even when I wasn’t personally seen by him, it was clear that he and his staff (or he and the nurses at the hospital) kept in close communication about all their patients, and that he was aware of every detail and giving direction from wherever he was no matter the time of day or night. I eventually gave birth to my son via c-section with Dr. Viscarello. The procedure and recovery have gone really well, and everyone raves about how nonexistent my incision is. Many of the nurses at the hospital mentioned that Dr. V takes a little longer in his c-sections because he takes the time to stitch up every layer, whereas other doctors might stitch up only a few. This was cool to hear. Also if you’re reading this and it’s relevant or helpful to know, Dr. V put in a cerclage for me around 18 weeks and that whole process was great, too. The procedure went smoothly and the cerclage held for the duration of my pregnancy. I’m very happy with my experience with Dr. Viscarello. Everyone at this practice is super knowledgable and professional and I can’t imagine a better group of maternal fetal medicine providers. This past week, our newborn daughter her one month pediatric appointment and the pediatrician said she was thriving. We attribute her excellent health to the attentive care that Dr. Viscarello & Maternal Fetal Care staff provided us during my pregnancy. He held my hand in the operating room while getting the injection from the anesthesiologists, he knew i was a nervous reck and he help me all the way. Not all doctors do this, he's caring and compassionate to all his patients and I’ll never forget his kind words at such terrible time in my life. ????????????

I recommend Dr V and his office staff 100% without hesitation. I was referred to him by several co-workers (physicians) 6 years ago after having a still born baby at 33 weeks and becoming pregnant again. His thoroughness, kindness, sensitivity and awesome bedside manner put me at ease and made me feel like I was in good hands after a devastating loss. The front office staff, nurses, ultrasound techs and nurse practitioners in his office are also amazing. They are very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. They can run that office without him if he is tied up in a delivery!!! And when you go to the hospital to deliver, the nurses in his office are work in L&D so you have great continuity of care. Dr Viscarello is the best of the best and he personally knows all his patients and does his own deliveries. I am so fortunate and blessed to have him and his staff caring for me and my baby.
