Met him in the ER. He wasn’t wearing a mask during Covid when he tended me. He was chewing food and belching with no excuse me. He asked me if I wanted pain meds for my injured skull. I said yes, and he listed several very strong pain meds I could have. Some of them should not have been offered to an elderly patient. I found him to be very unprofessional.
Dr. Sonner spent 2.25 hours on a female patient giving cpr massage. Saved her life. Someone gives a former negative review because he touched her grandfather's toes. Get real.
We were seen quickly by Dr. Sonner, a knowledgeable physician with great bedside manner. As a parent of an injured infant, he allowed me time to review the events of trauma, provided reasurrance and explained the plan. Provided appropriate examination of my child and great follow through. His patients are lucky to have him on staff here.
I was recently treated by him in the ER at TMMC. He was very thorough and had a pleasant bedside manner.

On 09/10/2017 I took my grandfather to the emergency room at Torrance Memorial Hospital. My grandfather, 99 yrs old,was unconscious. I had my mother and fiancée in the emergency room with me. Dr. Sonner came inside the room with a medical student. The doctor never asked if it was ok for the medical student to be with us inside the emergency room. After I told him that my grandfather was non- responsive. He began to inflict pain by pinching the patients toes without asking for permission first
