Long delays for even phone appointments

Received a referal to Dr Shinaman for pain management. I called the office to make an appointment. After several days went by with out a call back I went to the web site to request a call back. I left over one dozen messages and online request for call backs.. After several more days I made an appointment on line. I arrived at the office had my email saying I had an appointment and the receptionist said it did not. She tried to inform me that it was a request for a call back when the email states clearly it is an appointment. Then she said oh it is for another location when it clearly states for the pleasant hill location. They cannot return phone calls and then they lie to cover it up. Dr. Shinaman is great! He has really helped me manage pain I've dealt with for several years after damage from cancer treatments. He listens and offers real options...not drugs just to mask issues. I would not hesitate to seek his help for pain management and reduction. And Lauren, on his staff, is a gem!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shinaman for over 15 years. I not only have had office visits but also undergone surgery. He is an EXCELLENT doctor, his procedures and knowledge are unsurpassed. And he is a nice man!

Dr. Shinaman has given me my life back! In 2014 I was struck with debilitating pelvic pain which for the most part, made me house bound as I wasn't able to do much more than lie on my back all day. After 2 years of seeing so many doctors, including specialist and UCSF and Stanford, with no help at all, I finally found Dr. Shinaman. He was the ONLY doctor that has been able to come up with a plan to keep my pain controlled so I can live my life and take care of my family. I am so grateful.
