My husband had a 9:30 am appointment that we drove over an hour and a half to get to. The doctor didn’t show up. The office tried calling him. I called his main office in San Antonio and was informed that he was no longer a doctor with this clinic or a doctor from what I was told. Also I was told he never worked at the location in Bandera that we were scheduled at! How was the appointment by your offices ever scheduled for this Dr if he doesn’t work there and/or why weren’t his appointments called about no longer being there before the time of the appointment?

He is a great Doctor. Kathy and the rest of the staff are very efficient, courteous and professional. I know a lot of Doctors, and Dr. Newman is a cut above. Very knowledgeable and professional.

Dr. Newman is an excellent doctor. He combines professionalism with warmth and compassion. He truly cares about his patients and takes the time to listen to you. He provides an exceptional quality of care!

Dr. Newman saved my life. I had a tumor on my neck and he did a wonderful job. I will always be thankful for the talent that god gave him. This was like 10 years ago

Getting the surgery date is a joke. I was recommended by Dr. York to have surgery due to a lump on my neck. Well we scheduled it for June 26, 2017. Okay! There was a problem with the insurance so it was moved to the following month. Where I told then it may be a cash payment instead. So I'm thinking everything is fine there's a 750.00 payment required along with 2000 for the hospital down payment and some down payment for the anesthesiologist. So one week before the surgery which got rescheduled for July 25 2017. I believe is the date I called to set up the payments with the hospital I had misplaced their phone number due to stress. Well the scheduler there then tells me that Dr. York decided to place 2 other patients in my slot because I'm pain cash and he didn't know if I would be able to pay...... -_- Sooooooooo instead of calling so I can pay for my spot and secure it he decided eh can't trust her let's put someone else there. IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOU CALL THE PERSON TO CONFIRM BEFORE DECIDING SUCH THINGS! I was very annoyed and aggrevated. Scared as is from all this prolonging of the surgery. My husband and I requested off from work. So now his job is looking at him differently and mine too. IT DOESN'T ND THERE.....WAIT THERE'S MORE! So the scheduler calls me a day or two after the surgery was supposed to happen saying hey Dr. York will do your surgery on a monday. Okay. So it was scheduled for August 7. Then I get the it will be at 1pm call. Then it's moved to 7am. Then it's moved to 930am Now it needs to be done on August 14th...... Yeah well forget it then. If you didn't want to do the surgery for me then why do all this just say so in the beginning. What a miserable horrible experience. I'm so very tired of all the back and forth. It's just sad. This was horrible service. UPDATE I was not going to have the surgery with Dr. York. But they called me the Friday before my scheduled surgery and after all the stress we decided to do the surgery. Dr. Newman is knowledgeable and a qualified caring and thorough physician. He treats each of his patients with high regard and respect. I highly recommend him.

One the finest Doctors I have ever met. Explained my surgery to me what can be expected. Saw me every day (20) in the hospital. The post operative care was amazing. Would have him treat my childen

Dr Newman was the MOST !!! unprofessional, uncaring doctor durning my care. His concern was not for my health issues as his patient. Dr Newman was more focused on himself rather than my health. I was very fortunate to find some wonderful doctors that listened and truly cared for me as their patient. I can now say that I have made it through this medical nightmare despite Dr Newman unprofessionalism. I absolutely would not recommend Dr Newman as a health care provider.
