Dr. Richard Christopher Muckerman II

Dr. Muckerman’s oversight is the reason one of my family members has had a seven year battle with cancer, that could have been avoided had he followed protocol. If you have symptoms that actually worry you, get a second opinion.

I want to preface this and say I have never written a review before. However, I feel like I need to in order to help protect the community from this doctor. Dr. Muckerman blatantly ignored protocols to scan and test for ovarian cancer in my aunt. If he would have done his job and listened to his patient's complaints (chief complaint was back pain) rather than writing it off, the cancer would have been caught very early. Dr. Muckerman called her several times apologizing after her diagnosis at stage 3c (which to me indicates significant guilt and trying to protect himself from a very warranted law suit). However, here we are, 7 years later, in and out of chemotherapy and trials. I am an RN, so I understand doctors and healthcare professionals alike make mistakes-- however, this was not a mistake. It was blatant negligence. My entire extended family used to go to this practice and all of us switched since then. Dr. Muckerman, if my aunt wasn't as nice as she is and let it go, this mistake would have cost you your entire career. I want to preface this and say I have never written a review before. I have been a patient of Dr. Muckerman's for 27 years. He delivered three of my children and would have delivered the first one had I known about him. He has always been a wonderful doctor and administered quality care in obgyn and maternity. He genuinely cares about his patients and the babies he delivers!
