Dr. Richard E Layton

Dr. Layton is a knowledgable clinician in addition to being caring and compassionate. He helped my husband and daughter with their food/environmental related allergy symptoms. The treatments that he provided significantly reduced their allergy reactions to food and the environment elements which greatly improving their quality of life. Even though, they travel 150 miles each direction to see him, we hope that he does not retire anytime soon. His office staff, Ms. Diana is wonderful. She is great with my daughter, who is fearful of getting the shots. We highly recommending Dr. Layton to anyone who has serve allergy that does not get relief by conventional treatments. Coming from a family of three physicians, Dr. of pharmacy, critical care nurse, we believe in conventional medicine and tried that route for 10+ years for his allergy before he seek alternative treatments about 12+ years. he has been a patient of Dr. Layton for about 8-9 years. Been going here for almost twenty years. Was able to dramatically reduce the necessary allergy medication I was taking and improve my symptoms ten fold. I went from having three-six sinus infections a year to gradually working down to none in the last ten years. Literally life changing. Our experience with Dr. Layton has been remarkable. I find it unfortunate how hard it is to find caring, professional and thorough doctors like Dr. Layton. In a day when most allergy care is based on only somewhat-reliable testing and rarely ever based on the patient's experience and intuition, we need docs like him now more than ever. Our son, who has suffered from multiple food and environmental allergies, plus the difficult behavior that has gone with them, has made major (underline major) progress in his health and his ability to function in life and in school. Our family drives more than 3 hours round-trip to Dr. Layton because the care is that exceptional and necessary for health. Dr. Layton is the most compassionate, knowledgeable physician I have ever met and I have met many in my lifetime due to a chronic illness. I have been his patient for close to a year and was referred to him by someone who has been a patient for over 5 years. He truly listens and tries to get to the root of the problem instead of just writing a prescription and sending you on your way or ordering a bunch of unnecessary, expensive tests. Better yet, he never says or acts like it's all in your head just because you suffer from a unique illness. He also treats my 33 year old daughter and will be meeting with my younger daughter next week. He is open minded and more than willing to consider the patients feelings and suggestions and prescribe traditional medication if needed. I have 100% faith in him and feel blessed to have him as my doctor. Obviously, I highly recommend him!
