Very professional office staff. I recommend Dr. Hayek very highly.

My mother had left and right hip replacement surgeries with this doctor. They went amazingly. It's been about 2 years since the surgeries, and she walks more than I can remember. She goes on daily walks, to the store, etc. She speeds faster than me, and I am only 30! After the first left side surgery, we were so impressed we tried to push for a quick right side surgery even during COVID! Before the surgeries, she was unable to separate her feet when standing more than about 1.5ft apart. She was in great pain. Walking up stairs was a major issue, and she often needed support especially if the first step was higher than normal. She used her arms to help pull up along railings. Don't waste your time in pain. You will be in good hands.

I had left total knee replacement performed by Richard Hayek MD 5 months ago, after procrastinating for many years. I was able to return to work after 4 weeks, mostly standing, and at 3 months I don't even think about my knee unless someone asks. Should have had the surgery years ago. Kudos to Dr. Hayek. I have had the best experience at IBJI. I had a total knee replacement in September of 2022. The surgery went great, and aftercare was amazing! Dr. Richard Hayek and his staff were fantastic! I am now seeing him for a torn rotator cuff, and once again, he and his staff are amazing! I have been treated with kindness, and always feel comfortable with his staff. This is one amazing facility, with a great staff of people working there. The front desk staff are wonderful!

I went to Dr Hayek on a recommendation from a physical therapist. I am glad I found him. He takes the time sit down with you to find out what's wrong, his staff is also First Rate. His nurse has a great attitude, makes you feel very at ease right away. I felt from the time I walked into the office to the time I left I was glad I came there I would recommend Richard Hayek to anyone having orthopedic problems

I had both knees replaced and couldn't be happier! My wife and I never had to wait long for appointments. Dr. Hayek took time to explain procedures and what to expect after surgery and we're very grateful for his knowledge, experience and care that was received. Dr. Hayek is a very good doctor.

Dr. Hayek did a total hip replacement (front) on me in January, 2021. The first day at the hospital I was walking with a walker. When I was sent home, I no longer needed the walker. I did the therapy and was back to swimming in two weeks. In February 2022, my wife and I went to the Galapagos and Macho Picchu. We did a lot of walking and hiking for 12 days straight. My hip never felt better!

Thank you, Dr. Hayek, for making me feel at ease with your expertise. In June I went through physical therapy for a painful knee and then continued living with the pain after the sessions were over. My internist suggested that I make an appointment with you. An MRI determined there was a tear in the meniscus including degenerative arthritis. Dr. Hayek suggested either a gel or cortisone shot could give me the relief I needed. I freaked to say the least, but his demeanor and explanation helped me to gather my calm. The procedure was quick, painless, and has given me freedom to walk without wincing. Your staff was kind and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Hayek if you're experiencing pain. Dr. Hayek replaced my knee, and two years later, my hip. He has always been compassionate in his discussion and treatment of my pain issues. I just finished hiking all 5 National Parks in Utah this summer; last summer I could barely climb my house stairs! I feel blessed to have been the recipient of Dr. Hayek’s care and am very grateful for the improvement in my quality of life.

I had 2 procedures performed by Dr Hayek....a completely torn ankle ligament repair and release of a frozen shoulder unresponsive to any other treatment. Both issues are completely resolved. Dr Hayek is not only a very skilled, professional surgeon but a very kind and compassionate one as well. He is very concerned that your pain is relieved. I would recommend him hands down for any orthopedic needs.

Best orthopedic doctor I ever had. Not only did he give me a new knee but he straightened my leg out also. I'm hoping to get my other knee replaced next year. Had it replaced twice already by a different doctor and the device is loose again. You will have know regrets we with Doctor Hayek.

I broke my ankle Christmas Eve 2020 in two places and had a dislocation. After a visit to the emergency room, I was sent to Dr Hayek's office. He quickly assessed me, told me everything that I will have to go through to heal and scheduled me for surgery. The day of surgery at Resurrection Hospital was scary for me, but the staff, and Dr Hayek put me at ease buy letting me know everything that was happening, the screws and plate that were needed to put my ankle back together and expectations of recovery. The surgery went great and I felt very happy to be on the mend. I was amazingly on my feet with a boot on and slowly beginning walking by mid-February and walking by March 1, 2021, and going to physical therapy. Presently I have no pain and my ankle has healed quickly. Dr Hayek did an amazing job with my surgery, and I am grateful to have met him. Dr Hayek is a great orthopedic surgeon my wife has ra and is a specialist with people with this condition he performed knee surgery and was caring attentive and made wife feel at ease. I am a orthopedic surgical nurse with 30 years experience in chicago and the northwest suburbs. I have worked with many orthopedic surgeons.Nurses who work in surgery know who the great surgeons are. I wanted the BEST physician for my father. I chose Dr.Hayek! He is a gifted, technically skilled, exceptional surgeon. My father had a very serious complicated condition in which Dr.Hayek performed two surgeries which went really well.He was professional,compassionate, and patient with my father. Fantastic surgeon.

Doctor Hayek is the best Orthopedic Surgeon in the area by far. He did a total right knee replacement for me. It went great, hardly have a scare on my knee. He told me that the stretching and exercising was the key and he was right. Back to work with little pain in one month. He is the best!!

Dr Hayek, is amazing !! I had anterior hip replacement, with very little pain. Its only been 5 weeks and can easily walk over a mile. He is very passionate about his work and takes the time to answer any questions you may have. Office staff and PA also great !! Highly recommend him. Office staff is efficient and super friendly.

Great doctor! I was a workers comp patient. He didn't do my surgery but became my follow up doctor. Amount of care I received from him and his office doesn't compare to any other place, especially Illinois Bone and Joint Institute where some doctors completely don't care about their patients just want the surgery$$$. I went to see Dr. Hayek for ankle and foot pain due to falling arch. He told me I needed surgery, and explained all the things that he would have to do. Which floored me. I've seen him many times before and surgery is always a last resort. I wasn't having it, so he prescribed an orthotic boot that you wear inside a gym shoe. It's fairly expensive and not very pretty. It got me through the day at work. I noticed when I was not wearing it, I had to watch every step and the fear of the pain that I would have. After several months I opted for the surgery. He ended up doing four of the five procedures. The recovery consist of eight weeks non weight-bearing plus therapy. Which is not easy. I was off work for three months, but surgery was well worth it. He told me it could be up to a year commitment but everybody heals differently. But what is this commitment when I can now walk, dance and everything that I need to do. Eight months later and still improving. I have my life back whether it's for one year or 30 years. Thank you Dr Hayek for keeping me moving all these years. Dr Hayek did my Achilles surgery and did a great job, you can really tell he cares about his whether or not his patients get better. He is good at what he does I was back to walking and running on time and he always had time for my questions. His staff is nice and knowledgeable. Wait times can vary and would be my only complaint. If you are going to have Hip replacement, This is the Doctor you need to see. I am 67 years old and thought it might be to late for a hip replacement. Dr. Hayek put me back in shape and he came highly recommended from my family physician (Who also had his hip done by Dr. Hayek ). He is great to talk to when you have questions and he keeps his appointment on schedule. I am not one to take time to write a review but a simple review is the least i can do for Dr. Hayek's experience and talents. He's the Best.

Dr. Hayek is an outstanding Surgeon. I had my hip replaced at the beginning of the year, it went so well that I replaced the other one six months later. I can not say enough good things about the man. Being pain free walking and exercising speaks for itself. His staff and the team at Resurrection are the best. Dr. Hayek is a Five Star doctor and person. I waited to long to have knee surgery but once the knee was replaced, absolutely no issues and very little pain. His staff, the nurses and all the PT personnel was extremely professional and caring. If I have any other issues, I will be returning to Northwest Orthopedics and Dr. Hayek.

Dr Hayek reconstructed my shattered kneecap one year ago. It was a complicated surgery. - the kneecap was in at least five pieces! After months of rehab and numerous office follow ups I am in great shape. Dr Hayek and his staff exhibited high quality professional care and a genuine concern for my recovery. Dr. Hayek was a superb surgeon in doing my hip replacement. My recovery was very quick and minimal pain. He was extremely caring and professional. I recommend him without any reservations.

Dr. Richard Hayek performed 2 hip replacements on me in 2017. Left 5/2017 and Right 8/2017. After I finally made the decision to have these procedures done, I cannot tell you how much of a new person I am. What really helped my experience was Dr. Hayek’s explanation, total interest and concern for my well being. I can honestly say I highly recommend Dr.Hayek for his expertise in his medical field.

I met Dr. Hayek in January 2018. I went in for a consult on my knees. Turned out I needed a double knee replacement. He took the time to go over all of my options. He took the time to go over the procedure & all of my concerns. We also went over all of the concerns he had with me as his patient. He is a great surgeon with a great beside manor. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Because of him I am pain free in my knees and am able to get my life back!

Dr. Hayek explained the hip replacement surgery thoroughly, along with the hospital stay and the recovery. Three months after surgery, I traveled to Ireland and walked over 20 miles during my 7 day trip. I am so glad I had the surgery as I am no longer in any pain.

Dr. Hayek performed a surgery on my ankle after I sustained an injury with multiple fractures. This was a tough surgery which required plates and screws to be put into my ankle. Dr. Hayek did an amazing job and I am currently able to exercise, snow ski, work as a nurse, and perform all my activities of daily living with no pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Hayek for any orthopedic needs. He is kind, knowledgeable, caring, and takes the time to talk to his patients about the best options.

I am so grateful to be living a full life, enjoying my grandchildren and walking without pain. This is a remarkable turnaround since I have had both of my knees replaced. I only wish I had done this sooner. Dr. Hayek provided excellent advice and surgical care. I followed the recommended exercises and guidelines and have been able to reclaim my life again. thank you.

I'm so thrilled to write an opinion of Dr. Hayek! He performed a meniscus repair on my knee and I was a happy patient from beginning to end. Dr. Hayek replaced both of my hips two years apart without any issues. I was able to continue a great career and continue to travel. My life would have been totally different had I not had the replacements, I would have had to go out on disability with limited walking and pain. I'm a 64 year old male, in good health, developed pain in right hip to the point I couldn't tie my shoes or bend over. Dr. Hayek ordered x-rays, examined my hip, explained the problem and options. Performed a full anterior hip replacement on me; in on Monday, home on Tuesday. No pain, no pain pills. Walking without a cane after one week. After five weeks, with the help of physical therapy, walking with barely a limp. Been a great experience for me. Highest recommendation for Dr. Hayek.

Dr Hayek is a very dedicated, caring surgeon. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. He is straightforward and does not do surgery just to do it. He is highly educated, takes the time to explain what he plans on doing. I had two knee replacements - one in January 2017 and one in July 2017. Even though I am still healing from the July surgery I have no pain, can walk up small hills, walk up/down stairs even jog. I am satisfied with my new knees. GREAT DOCTOR!!!

I was visiting family in Chicago when unfortunately I fell and broke my hip. The CFD transported me to Resurrection Presence on Talcott. . I was very fortunate to have Dr. Hayek as my physician. Not only did he explain the procedure that was necessary for me but he did a fantastic job of replacing my total hip with a Zimmer apparatus.His follow up care and advice prove to be very helpful. I would most certainly recommend Dr. hack to anyone who is looking for hip replacement

i have seen Dr. Hayek for numerous problems. He replaced my hip, my knee, and most recently total reconstruction of my shoulder. I wouldn't see anyone but him. He knows what he's talking about and makes sure the patient does also. He takes his time doesn't rush you out the door. I have and will recommend him to everyone I know.

I WAS EXPERIENCING PAIN IN MY SHOULDER ON AND OFF FOR MONTHES. I FINALLY GAVE IN AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DR. HIS OFFICE WAS PLEASANT AND I WAS ABLE TO BE SEEN QUICKLY. DR. HAYEK WAS VERY NICE, TOOK TIME EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AND DIDNT RUSH ME OUT.. RECOMMEND HIM 100%

Yes, I have recommended Dr. Hayek, to friends. He did both of my hips in a 3 yr. period. I can tell you I recover very quickly. Have very little pain after I left the hospital. Went for rehab at Sister Bonaventure, in Park Ridge.

Dr. Hayek treated me for a foot injury that required surgery. Knowledgeable, well-versed and thorough, his manner is professional and extremely considerate. My surgery was successful, with minimal pain and meticulous follow-up. The PAs are great as well and the staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. Hayek is the absolute best...an exemplary physician and a genuinely kind man.

Dr. Hayek did a great job on both of my hips. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Hayek is a consummate professional. He is extremely knowledgeable about current medical practices and is a highly skilled surgeon. He replaced my left hip using the anterior entry method and I have had absolutely no pain or stiffness from the time I left the recovery room. I was walking within 3 hours of surgery and left the hospital the next day. I stopped using the cane and walker after one day and have regained full function after 4 weeks of recovery. Highly recommended!!

Dr Hayak took the time to explain everything n a way I could understand. He is a no nonsense type of person, which is good. He wouldn't even consider surgery if I wasn't going to do the necessary rehab to make it right. He did a great job. I followed his suggestions and I'm doing great. I'm back to doing everything I used to do.

I would recommend Dr. Hayek to everyone!! He has replaced both my knees, and I have absolutely no pain, and am so glad I did it. I had an anterior total hip replacement. My recovery was free of restrictions and I healed very quickly. I am 71 years old and am back to playing with my young grandkids and doing all the activities I couldn't do before I went to Dr. Hayek. I highly recommend him. I am glad I didn't waste time living with pain.
