Dr. Aiken’s staff is outstanding from pre-visit instructions, greeting on arrival, to doing the intake process. Very professional! Then you are turned over to a highly trained and experienced nurse/assistant to do X-Rays, go over current meds, and receive info on the upcoming procedure. I was so taken in the outstanding customer service, I never worried about the upcoming procedures, which were an extraction and an I’m plant for a soon to be done crown. Then Dr. Aiken arrived and we are introduced. He is very professional, soft spoken but very confident in what he needed to do in the procedure. He had already had a conversation with my dentist. Within minutes, I’m sedated, and the next thing I know, the procedure #1 is done. That evening about 6:30pm, Dr. Aiken, (not a PA or Nurse) called to check on my overall condition, pain, level, swelling and gave me a personal number to call, for problems or questions. That’s what I call outstanding service! Procedure #2 went just as smoothly as the first one. A repeat of visit #1, just a different procedure, All the checkups in between-Ditto. Professional,friendly, reassuring staff and a great Doctor! They even calked my dentist to schedule the appointment for my crown. I could not recommend Dr. Richard Aiken any more highly. I just want to say, that my experience's have been beyond my expectation! Dr. Akin was great and friendly and the staff is pleasant every time I have spoken with them; very positive energy each time I have gone. Came in with a reference for an emergency surgery for my wisdom teeth and implants. I had a great experience with Dr. Akin and his office staff! Very friendly, professional, and welcoming environment. I had 3 wisdom teeth removed along with a cheek repair. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with kindness. Each member of the staff is friendly and attentive. My fears were put to rest by Dr. Akin. He is obviously the top of his field. Although I was extremely apprehensive about having a front tooth removed and replaced, he put me at ease. At no point did I ever experience any pain. I couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. From the welcoming staff, to the atmosphere, to Dr. Akin himself— just superb! The process of getting wisdom teeth out is actually simpler than I expected. I honestly thought it would be a bit on the barbaric side, but nope. It was civilized and I was asleep. Dr. Akin and his staff are extremely professional. Also Dr. Akin is a man of his word. When I first went to see him about implants he explained to me what he wanted to do and then followed his explanation with saying that he will back his work. In March of 2021 I went in and had 4 implants installed. During the next couple of weeks I started having problems with 2 of the implants. He decided that we needed to remove them and try again at a later date. This morning 11-5-2021 I went in and had the 2 implants put back in and I have absolutely no problems with them, in fact there is no pain. The most important thing is that he called personally each time to check on me to see how I was doing. I will recommend Dr. Akin to anyone that wants to have this procedure done. I just had two teeth extracted by Dr. Akin, and was very pleased with the results. During the initial visit, his demeanor and professionalism immediately put me at ease with his competence, and he answered any questions that I had. He never appeared rushed, and related to me as a person, not as a patient number or faceless medical problem. I had concerns about anesthesia, and he was very receptive in discussing my issues, and in fact used different medications as a result of that discussion that worked out great. The entire patient interface with his staff was exemplary, from bringing the people to drive us home coffee, to heated blankets! The extraction itself was quick and painless, even without their anesthesia of choice. His office was by the back door so that he actually walked out to the car with me. I had his personal cell phone in my bag going home, and he even called himself to see how I was doing. I would recommend him and his awesome staff to anyone!

Had my wisdom teeth removed, Akin was professional and very intelligent, couldn't have gone smoother.

Every person at this office is kind and helpful. After my surgery, dr.akin called me personally to check and make sure everything was going well. When I started to have pain, they came in after hours and checked my sites out! Genuinely kind and caring staff and doctor!

They are incredible! My son had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out with very little pain to no pain afterwards. Dr Akin called us personally that night to check in. Very short recovery. Highly recommend them!

I went in to get one wisdom tooth, 1 molar tooth , and tori on my upper right gum removed all in the same day. All of his staff made me feel so comfortable, so at ease. They treated me as if I was a friend of the family (even though I wasn't) Very very nice professional people. Dr. Akin himself is by far the most professional, nicest oral surgeon I have ever been to. He made me feel so relaxed and calm. He was also very very quick with the procedure, before I knew it, it was all over with, I couldn't believe it!! Also after the surgery I had little to no pain after the numbness wore off. I’m not too sure of the name of the nurse who prepped me before the surgery, but she was AMAZING. She ensured I was relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Akin is amazing! I did a lot of research prior to my first visit and I definitely made the right choice. He did my dental implant and was able to attach the temporary the same day he pulled my tooth! I was so amazed that I never had any pain, discomfort, or problems. And he even personally called to check on me after my surgery. If you research him you will see that he is very knowledgeable and has the experience we all want. Dr. Akin also has a wonderful staff to assist him. I highly recommend him!!!

During my fifties, I experienced severe deterioration of my original teeth. Regular dental care was unsuccessful in saving them. Finally, I sought care from a leading local prosthodontist who referred me to Dr. Akin for implants. I ended up with 13 implants and complete upper and lower bridges. After each surgery (and there were quite a few), he called that evening to check on how I was doing. One of the many implants he installed failed and he graciously redid it with no additional fee. Three years later, I've had no problems and my teeth look awesome. I was extremely pleased with Dr. Akin's surgical work. Besides great results, I found him to be a most concerned, respectful and congenial person. I am happy to recommend Dr. Akin for oral surgery without reservation.

Be prepared to spend a bunch of money, knowledgeable staff but they are definitely running a dental assembly line....ask questions because they rush you in and out.

I appreciate how kind the nurses, the business staff, and Dr. Akin were to me. At 27, I got my wisdom teeth surgery later than most, but once I was in the office, they completely understood my nervousness and eased my worries. I was well informed of the procedure beforehand and given a sheet with pre-care instructions. They also did everything to ensure my comfort during the procedure (including a heated blanket!). 9 surgery sites, 3 bones grafts, 3 wisdom teeth removed, 3 implant posts put in, 3 gum grafts, 2 surgeries in total, and 1 amazing oral surgeon. I got through all of this with little to no pain thanks to Dr. Akin! Dr. Akin and his team work wonders and the fear I had before melted away the moment I stepped foot in their office.

I had an implant done and that involved a bone graft procedure. My wife also saw him for chronic oral pain that was totally relieved by extraction procedures. All services are timely and practically pain free. A superior specialist.

I had a palatial Tori for two years I was so worried about having it removed..I went in to have Dr Akin look at it and Advise me as to what he thought I could do.. I liked him from the moment he came into the room...He put me at ease about it.. so I scheduled the surgery... It was a breeze .. it took about half hour to remove it.. I had NO pain, NO Swelling, very lil Bleeding... I was almost in shock he made it so easy and painless.. I’m telling anyone if they need this surgery pls don’t waste your time and money to go somewhere else.. he is a dream to take care of you.. And I think the Best Oral surgeron anywhere.. I had been anxious and just about terrified about getting my wisdom teeth removed for years. Two weeks ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Akin. As a college student, if was hard to find a time to get them removed. I was also very nervous because it was my first major surgery ever. Dr. Akin and his team go out of their way to make every patient feel welcome and valued. I actually look forward to going in and seeing them at my follow up appointments! Their level of knowledge and service is unmatched. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Akin. His chair side manner was warm and he answered all my questions. The office staff was friendly and helpful. My procedure went very well and the healing process uneventful. I will definitely return if more oral surgery is needed.

Due to age and dental deterioration that regular hygiene and dental care didn't prevent, I was required to undergo several significant oral surgery procedures. One had to be redone which Dr. Akin performed successfully at no additional charge. I'm very pleased with the results and have had no complications or difficulty about a year following the last surgery. I will need another procedure for a different problem (unrelated to the successful outcome mentioned above) and will again see Dr. Akin for this one (almost certainly the last for me, as I will have all prosthetics that look great and are not subject to deterioration under normal conditions). I can't tell you how afraid of needles, etc I am. Dr. Akin's staff made me so comfortable and were very gentle and understanding. He is awesome!!! I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and was in and out in 30 minutes. No pain after the first day. Would highly recommend them to anyone. Will definitely use them again if I have any issues.

Dr. Akin helped me with a cracked tooth about 4 years ago. He took his time with me, gave me a few options, and ultimately we decided to put in an implant. His staff was friendly and knowledgeable, didn't feel like a normal trip to a doctor's office. The implant has held up great!

I have had several occasions to visit an oral surgeon, and have been very disappointed with the results and follow up procedures that occurred because of them. My experience with Dr. Akin was far superior to any of the other DDS - MD's that have operated on me. Dr. Akin and his staff are very well trained and extremely courteous. My recovery time was minimal, and I had no pain whatsoever. Dr. Akin called and checked on me personally the next day, Saturday. You just don't get that type of personal treatment any more. I highly recommend Dr. Akin, especially to anyone who has reservations or fears associated with oral surgery.
