Dr. Rex Galam Diaz

Had surgery for foot lipoma Dec. 9. Stated 3 week recovery, now in week 11 and still not walking right. Went for another postop appt today and his response was,"Hope it gets better." Would not recommend. I could walk normally prior to surgery...

I ended up with Dr Diaz while I was in Sentara hospital. He had to go back and do surgery on my foot that was previously done by another podiatrist. I found Dr Diaz to be very personable and knows exactly what he is talking about. I wish I had him from the very beginning and I know I wouldn't have had the past issue. Dr. Diaz was very nice once I was able to finally see him, had an appointment and the lady at the front desk said that I did not and was turning me away. I would not leave because I did have an appointment and finally the doctor came out and sure enough I did have a scheduled appointment. Now I need surgery they will not answer the phone they will not call me back, I’ve called three times on different days and I cannot get anybody to either answer the phone or call me back

Very caring podiatrist I’ve been a patient of his for over 3yrs & will continue to be treated by him when needed.

Dr. Diaz might be a good doctor but his staff is rude and short. I asked for an appointment because I have numb toes, pain up my leg and haven't slept for over 2 weeks. This is based on the care I received (post-fracture) from another doctor's office. I asked to be seen right away. They said I could have an appointment in 2 weeks. I asked if they could relay my message and situation to possibly get in sooner and they said no. Apparently there is no sympathy or urgency for those in pain.

I cannot express how completely satisfied I was with the surgical work AND bedside manner of Dr. Diaz. Result was outstanding to the point of surprising me and leaving me in awe.

Dr. Diaz is an amazing physician! He takes his time to ensure you are well informed on procedures, conditions, disease, and injuries! Awesome humanity, compassionate care, ethics at 100%, respectful and awesome foot healer. I am so happy to receive my foot care from Dr. Diaz! The entire offices staff is amazing! Pamela, Jennifer, and Office Manager, I love them to the moon! In theses times, of Healthcare we need professionals, that make you feel safe and secure with an down home feeling! Thanks

He listened to every concern. I had stepped on a thorn that broke off in my foot. He took a lot of time to treat that as well as as answer other questions I had. I had minimal wait time and staff was friendly.
