My daughter was born early. Saw us one time and told me my daughter would be severely physically delayed without taking into account her other medical issues. Dr. Gargus was amazing the first year that we dealt with her, then she went on medical leave for 9 months and when she came back we found that her memory and cognition is not there anymore. She can't remember anything about our child, states one thing and within the appointment contradicts herself. She has even written the prescription wrong for our child and even though we corrected her during the visit, we had to go back to her office to make her fix it.

Dr. Gargus saw my son for quite some time when he was in his earlier education years, 5-6 years old . Autism was suspected but he did not meet the criteria at the time. I'll never forget Dr. Gargus telling me that she doesn't know why the ADOS did not confirm it but she knew he was one of her kids. At the time, we couldn't get his meds correct and she said he fell in a small group of kids that she just couldn't seem to help but that Gabe has a good core. My son has struggled his whole life and is now 15 years old. We have had to fight our school system for the services he has needed. He is now in 10th grade and as of yesterday, a complete assessment was done on him through our school system and he ABSOLUTELY has autism. She was exactly right and we all knew it. I absolutely hate that it took all these years to find out but she educated me on ways to help him and we worked hard at it. He is now finally stable on medications and getting the services he needs for school. He is high functioning but it's still been very difficult for him. Thank you, Dr. Gargus, for all your efforts, all your documentation in his file because that played a big part in helping the psychologist understand Gabes complex puzzle. Thank you for your help even now and all you taught me in how to bring him routine, structure, positive reinforcements, etc. THANK YOU! We will keep up the work! Gabe has done his part and worked hard at being the best he can be too!

Dr Gargus is an amazing Dr! My child has seen her a few times now and I like the amount of time she spends with us. I would recommend Dr Gargus to anyone who is in need of a pediatrician who treats children with autism! The front desk lady was amazingly friendly and helpful!!

Run as fast as you can is correct. I see that her bad record at Prince William Hospital in Manassas VA is not in her experience, and probably for good reason. She is famous for pushing blood transfusions on newborns for no reason, even to the point of taking parents to court for custody of their newborns to push her medical agenda. This is a very dangerous doctor and many of the things she allegedly specializes in for treatment was likely caused by her pushed blood transfusions.

The office is very unprofessional and unorganized. Dr. Gargus never follwed through on writing a rx for medical equipment, no one would return our call, ever. For our 2nd apt we waited over an hour past our apt time and left with my disabled son, it was so extremely disrespectful of our time. Many many other parents experienced the same.

My son has been a "patient" of Gargus for 2 years. Unfortunately! She is the only person within our 2+ hour radius that will "care" for children under 5 with his medical conditions. Bad at best describes our experience. You can never get ahold of a person, they never call back, getting in to see the doctor is rather impossible and you may learn to fly over the moon first. She gives very minimal refills which only makes it more of a headache as you have to go through the nuisance of trying to get back ahold of somebody & get in to see her to get constant refills for the same medications your child has been on. She doesn't take parents concerns or complaints too seriously. I honestly have no idea how this women has been a doctor for so long and unfortunately, she is the only choice many have for our area. Good luck to you all and if you have a different option.....run there as fast as you can.
