He is the best doctor i have ever met he is straightforward and i will never change my doctor! He is also very kind and loves kids.

Dr. Patel was so rude to my son. I cannot believe that this guy is allowed to work with children. I would never take my child back to see this man.

The absolutely worst doctor I have ever been to. I have always had GI problems, and he made me feel like I was the stupidest person ever for even seeing him. He is the most arrogant doctor. Did not even spend over five minutes with us and told us, “I see children with four stomachs”. Belittled my situation and should be fired. He did not even tell me that I could possibly be lactose intolerant. Four years later and a doctor who has access to my information said that he had in there I might be lactose intolerant. Just saw this doctor for my 10 month old daughter who has had multiple GI issues her whole life. (our old dr left the practice so we got placed with him instead). He spent less than one minute in the room with us, ignored EVERYTHING I said, never even came close to my daughter and then flat out told me that she's just being stubborn and there is nothing wrong!!!! Our visit was online and rather brief. Probably because I have done my research and could describe the family histories that likely led to my daughter's stomach issues, he didn't disagree with or ignore what we had to say. He confirmed her symptom list, then asked what treatment path we wanted to take, whether herbal, prescription, or both. He then asked us to contact his office in a month to let him know whether treatment was successful. I had no problems or complaints.

DR Patel was horrible! He literally said he didn't care that my son is in pain every day because he isn't losing weight as is a big kid (not overweight, just tall and well built) He wasn't willing to seek to find answers as to why my son is literally throwing up every day, why he has severe reflux, and why he can't eat without excruciating pain. He said its normal. We have been told that all his life, and that he would grow out of it. Its NOT NORMAL to be unable to participate in school because your mouth is watering so bad because you're going to throw up. Not normal at all. This man has NO business working with children if he isn't willing to be curious about why a child is suffering. DR Patel was horrible! He knows his information, but he was very arrogant, and belittling to my child. I would not reccoment taking your child to him at all.

Dr. Patel and his staff at Primary Children’s treated our family with the care and kindness we needed at a very difficult time. We appreciated the care he provided our son and the quickness with which the care was given. We are grateful to him and his staff.

We did not even get to see this doctor. He cancel the appointment and when I wanted to reschedule the next appointment they had is two months away.

Dr Platel is a phenomenal doctor! He takes the time to listen to your concerns and is willing to take the time necessary to figure out a solution that is truly best for you and your child. I would highly recommend him to all family and friends.

My son is 5 years old. When we went to Dr. Patel, he had not looked at my sons chart, and was going to suggest the same blood tests that had already been done and this after spending 20 minutes with us. He said two words directly to my son for the entire visit. He never asked him questions, he only addressed me. Even when he did a rectal exam he said nothing to prepare my son for what he was going to do. For a children's doctor, he is horrible with children and my son hated the whole appointment

Dr. Patel was not groomed well, Tie was not tucked under collar and it looked like he did not shower from previous day. We came to him for a second opinion. Seamed to disagree with my wife who is an RN and understands our child's condition. We spent under a half hour in the office, he review prior test results and could not exam my son due to excess amount of bloating in him stomach. Worst he did nothing for our son but billed us $469.30. Do you wonder why health cost is so much?

I had a very poor experience with Dr Patel, he may be knowledgeable in his field but it has made him over-confident and that can quickly become a liability for your child. He would be an adequate option if he were the only provider available but with so many options in the Salt Lake area and at Primary Children's I would not take my child to him.
