Dr. Raul Alvarez

Dr. Alvarez is hands down the best doctor I have seen. He never rushes his time with you and gets to know your whole you, rather than just your current symptoms. He is thorough and you can absolutely tell that he cares about you. I was originally sent to him after being diagnosed with some anemia issues. I later saw him after having multiple miscarriages. He saw me through that terrible time and through the births of me three beautiful children. His staff is amazing as well. It was bittersweet being discharged from their care.

Dr. Alvarez was unwilling to schedule a telehealth appointment when I got Covid the day before our appointment that I had been waiting for over a month and half for -- as a new patient. The Doctor cancelled my appointment and didn't even bother to tell me that they would not reschedule my appointment when I got upset that they said it would be another 3 weeks to see me, and I said there were not willing to help me get the blood thinner prescription I need to keep me alive. He also never returned my request to please call me. Honestly I question whether this doctor is empathetic and cares about his patients.

Dr. Alvarez saved my life! He is the absolute best and I am forever grateful for the care he provided me. I will ALWAYS!! have a place in my heart for this man. PS even though he had my wife give me 10 shots in the stomach! (I hate needles)

Dr. Alvarez is kind, compassionate and understanding. He is very professional when testing his patients.

Dr. Alvarez is one of my favorites. He is thourough takes his time with you. Sometimes you have to wait a bit but it's definitely worth it!!

Simply stated, you will not find a better doctor. I am a medically compromised individual with complex medical needs. I have been treated by more than fifty docotrs in myltiple disciplines over the last 25 years. I have never found a better doctor. I give him the highest ratings!!!!

The most thorough and and wonderful Dr. I have ever met. He takes time to listen to his patients and I am very fortunate to have Dr. Alvarez as part of my healthcare team.

Dr Alvarez is by far the most exceptional Dr I have ever seen. He and his staff are so kind,and treat you with dignity and respect . I always feel like I have ample time to discuss my concerns and am truly listened to. When I leave this office I feel so much better and assured of what’s going on. Amazing doctor-Compassionate

Dr Alvarez and his team have been nothing but awesome!!! He makes me feel human and gives me faith in my health care.

I drive over200 miles round-trip to see this doctor,. Colorado Springs, and Pueblo have NO doctors who are even close to being qualified for this Care. Was stage 4 and was given 6 months 17 years ago because of the pieces of work in southern Colorado.......But Doc Alvarez did NOT accept that .was on a trial drug out of Stanford University and I have been in full remission for 15++ years extremely kind,staff know me by first name ,and are wonderful .I continue to drive this trip at least 4 times

Dr. Alvarez literally saved my life several years ago. I had a DVT but worse then that Dr. Alvarez keep looking for the reason through multiple tests and found a PFO (hole in the heart) and directed me right to University Hospital for my repair. I see him twice a year for follow up and he is really awesome.

Dr Alvarez toke care of me with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and later on when I had a severe staff infection. Both times he saved my life , what more can you say.

Dr. Alvarez is the best. I see a lot of doctors he goes above and beyond. The staff at his office are all so helpful and caring as well. Dr. Alvarez certainly sees his patient as a whole person rather than one condition or symptom. I feel so blessed to be under his care.

My husband had surgery for Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1988 with the prognosis of 3 months to live. Dr Alvarez treated him aggressively and saved his life. My husband has been blessed to see our children grow up, finish college, get married and have grandchildren. We are very very grateful for the doctor's passion to cure and kindness to the family going through the very harsh treatment.

I've been seeing Dr. Alvarez for about 5 years. I started going to him for a blood clot, and have had some other issues through the years, and he has been there for me throughout! Now that I am in remission from my illnesses I still see him once or twice a year to check in and assess my overall health. He even supports my holistic healing methods. You sometimes have to wait a little past your appointment, but that is because he spends so much time talking to you and making you feel important.

Dr. Alvarez is the most caring, compassionate and competent doctor we have ever come across. These words don't do him justice. He is soooo up to date on the medical information in his field. After we were told by another cancer doctor that there was nothing to do for my husband and his CLL, we saw Dr. Alvarez and started treatment. There has been no evidence of the CLL in my husband's blood or bone marrow for 8 years now. He has continued to follow Mike closely and even diagnosed a blood clot in his leg after a skiing accident that other doctors had missed. He has truly saved Mike's life twice!
