Went for knee and ankle pain. Dr. Marx was excellent. Diagnosed my problem immediately and treated with injections that very little to no pain. Awesome!!!

Wow! As someone who worked in the medical field I can say I have never been in a more efficiently run practice, ever. From checkin to X-ray to nurse to doc to checkout…everything seamless! No more arriving 15 min early only to sit in a waiting room for over an hour. And Dr. Marx was extremely knowledgeable AND has bedside manner. Shocking, I know! Hands down would recommend.

This was my second visit. Surgery was discussed. Dr. Marx described his views about what surgery entailed. He was thorough about what needed to he done. Dr. Marx was not intrusive when I said I need to discuss it with my husband. He is kind and puts me at ease. His staff are great too. I highly recommend Dr Marx. He make me feel comfortable.

I returned with osteoarthritis of the big toe, Hallux Rigidus, and was able to get another steroid injection which permits me to walk longer distances without pain

My family has had a plethora of medical issues in the past few years and seeing TSAOG for my Achilles issue has been the best medical experience one can have. The office staff is knowledgeable and the office is well run, efficient, always on time and all encompassing. Dr Marx is pleasant, listens, doesn’t dismiss, and a real professional without being a cold one. I am so glad my search for foot care landed me in this group. As I recover from surgery I expect the excellent care will continue as they have so far shown to be an excellent choice in my medical needs. Thank you TSAOG and Dr Marx - it is very difficult these days to find good healthcare that includes both the office and the Dr. and everything involved.

Dr. Marx did not take the time to listen to my concerns and needs. He used X-rays from 3 years ago on only one of my ankles to make a decision about both ankles. He never has taken X-rays on the other foot. He was eager to give unsolicited medication advice out of his specialty (not orthopedic related)but not give any recommendation about my wrist joint because wrists are not his specialty. He seemed rushed and disinterested in what I was saying. I left knowing he clearly would no longer be my doctor, after seeing him for years prior, since he seemed disinterested in helping me at all and most likely eager to leave as his nurse had already told me he had somewhere to go and was running late. I literally left in tears from his office with no meaningful help and no one from this office cared to follow up since I’d already paid my copayment. This is my second surgery with Dr Marx. I moved away from San Antonio in 2020 but returned to TSAOG for my surgery because of my experience with Dr Marx. I had an excellent experience - from pre-surgical consult to surgery to post operative follow up, every step of the way has been top notch. Dr. Marx was very knowledgeable, he took his time and explained things thoroughly. He listened and offered options. The staff was great and the wait time was less than 15 minutes.

This is my first visit with Dr. Marx. The wait was short, the staff was friendly and efficient. Waited or a few minutes in waiting room and Dr. Marx explained all I needed to know, I had questions , he answered, so overall a very good experience.

Dr Marx and staff provide one of the best experiences you can hope to have in the medical field. During a rough time for me his patience in educating me and exploring options is very much appreciated.

My impression after 1 minute with Dr Marx blended well with my impression after 15 minutes. Dr Marx is a calm and caring physician/surgeon. He asks questions but also listens to my answers and my wife's input. After discussion/exam he was very clear and thorough in his explanation of findings. Dr.Marx was amazing... took time to explain everything and was very attentive.

I came in with a Work related injury expecting to be treated poorly but I was sworely mistaken. Dr Marx listened to my concerns and understood right where I was coming from and put my mind at ease with his treatment. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Dr Marx is a blessing and a wonderful doctor!!! Three months ago I crushed my ankle, today I ran several 50 yard dashes and my heart jumped for joy!!! Dr. Marx, his staff, and the front desk personnel are great. Friendly, professional and courteous. I've been dealing with a misdiagnosed foot issue with significant pain for six months (another doctor/different practice) but Dr. Marx had me good to go in 15 minutes!

My appointment went smoothly from the time I registered at the front desk to the time I walked out as a very happy patient. Dr. Marx was very friendly and reassuring. I feel very confident in his assessment of my injury and treatment plan.

Dr. Marx and his whole team were very efficient, friendly and professional. I felt like they all took their time with me, did not rush the visit and got all the information they needed on my initial visit. I heard Dr. Marx debriefing with his note taker as I was scheduling my MRI and next visit-they were analyzing my condition and working to troubleshoot what could be causing my issue. Very pleased with the whole office, entry to exit!

Had ankle/foot surgery 11/5/19 performed by Dr. Marx. He is the best! I highly recommend him.

Recently had surgery after a traumatic and extensive ankle injury. Dr. Marx was both informative and reassuring. Could not be happier with the outcome so far. I am 4 weeks post op, released for weight bearing yesterday, and actually ambulated a few hours with no device this morning. ????

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Marx and the awesome staff at TSAOG. I am presently recovering from extensive foot surgery and am so happy with Dr Marx’s work. It is not an overnight recovery and I am often frustrated with my limited ability to do things at home, but he and the staff have been completely supportive throughout my recovery. I am grateful for their patience and responsiveness to my needs.

Outstanding, unfortunately I let a podiatrist perform surgery on my foot which was a gigantic mistake. There is a reason it says DPM after their name and not MD. Don’t EVER fall prey to your friends who had a “great experience “ with a podiatrist. They aren’t MDs and when it comes to your feet it is way too important to make sure that you have the very best handling your feet. Read about Dr Marx internship and residency. Dealing with ballet dancers is a wonderful recommendation as they have some of the most difficult feet. I cannot tell you how happy I am with the surgery he performed and could not recommend him highly enough.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Marx well over 10 years now. He has helped me with a number of issues ranging from my feet to my knees. He is authentic, down to earth and personable. I had to get a knee injection on my last visit do to arthritis in my knee. He was fast and it felt like just a pinch. He is an excellent Dr. I would recommend him for all lower leg issues. I used the patient portal to schedule an appointment it said it would be 2 business days before I got a reply they called me that Monday and had me in by Thursday the same week. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. TSAOG is the place to be.

Very Dissatisfactory. I went to the Concorde Plaza office. Found the whole thing very much like a factory. Run them in and run them out. Dr. Marx showed me the spurs and arthritis that were evident in the x-ray. I told him I was not surprised, but I really wanted to know if I had a meniscus tear. He said the x-ray wouldn't show that and then didn't offer any way to find out. He did offer to give me a cortisone shot in the knee. I asked how that was done and he explained that he would insert it into my knee. I asked if he would be assisted in any way to find the correct spot and he told me that the knee joint is so large that it would be hard to miss. My spouse had seen him a few weeks earlier at the Stone Oak location and when offered the cortisone shot he said he would find the correct spot using image guidance. So, all offices and services are not equal and I still don't know if I have a tear in the meniscus or not.

TSAOG and Dr Marx did an outstanding surgery on my heel. I am going on one year and keeps feeling better. Office staff very helpful. Very highly recomended

Dr Marx seemed more interested in payment than any other thing, he treated me for a broken bone in my foot said it was well but I couldn't walk, finally he checked again and realized there was a second bone broken that had not healed correctly, have never been able to walk right with my left foot, have had 3 surgeries. Very knowledgeable and friendly Dr. He was referred to me by a young lady I met who had been in a horrible car accident which shattered her feet bones. Dr. Mark rebuilt her feet with cadaver bones and fusions and she had all feeling back in her feet and they looked as good as new! I will be using him to fuse my arthritic bones in my own feet. Dr. Marx and his office made sure that I was completely taken care of despite the obstacles of the looming pandemic limiting some the practice's abilities. They were extremely flexible and accommodating and made sure that had all of my questions answered. I quickly got an appointment with Dr. Marx, during which he diagnosed me with a torn retinaculum. That same day I was back in the facility to receive an MRI, which confirmed his diagnosis. The surgery went smoothly, and I am currently In a cast and well into my healing process. Dealing with foot pain for 6 months, and Dr Marx took care of me in 1 day. Previous doctor couldn't even do that in 6 months. He was very pleasant.

I am a Critical Care RN. I have been in a boot for five weeks. The rain has been very heavy here so I called Dr. Marx office and spoke with Tiffany. I asked for a temporary parking permit so that I would not have to walk so far in the rain. Tiffany told me that since I was not a surgical patient; Dr. Marx would not allow me to have a parking pass and I should walk. I let Tiffany know that I have been working twelve hour days as a nurse and this is about walking in the rain. I cannot believe patients are treated this way. I would never do this to anyone in my care. Please avoid this physician if you need proper care given along with a caring bedside manner. This physican and his staff lack bedside manner. I really appreciate all the effort done in fixing my foot after falling down stairs . I broke it badly in March but Dr Marx was able to fix it . Excellent all around.

I’ve seen Dr. Marx for many years. For many different issues involving my lower leg. He is thorough, kind and caring. He takes the time to explain what is going on and the best approach to fixing or alleviating the pain.

Dr. Marx and his team is spot on. I ruptured my Achilles and they had me in good spirit that I’ll bounce back. It has been a year and some change, and I’m back fully working out. The time frame they gave me went hand in hand, through therapy and all. I loved the challenge and the atmosphere during the process. Thank you!

Dr Marx took over my case when Dr Brown suddenly retired without notice. Surgery was supposed to be done in 3 weeks so I was concerned about the change. I was pleasantly surprised that Dr Marx took the time to go over my past injury and surgery file, notes & X-rays& explain why he would not recommend removing the hardware. He assured me there had been no shift in the plates/screws as he pulled up old xrays & compared them to new ones.
