I would highly recommend Dr. Singh to anyone suffering from neck, back, or neurological issues. Dr. Singh has a measured, conservative, & pragmatic approach providing a number of options enabling one to reasonably manage their issue without necessarily having surgery. He has a quiet demeanor listening intently to determine the best course of action. If surgery is required, one can be assured it is the best option & Dr Singh will be thorough in taking every step necessary to achieve excellent results. I have found Dr. Singh's assistant, Leah, & surgical coordinator, Danielle, both to be very empathetic, responsive, & helpful in facilitating office visits, imaging, & referrals, particularly when one is experiencing pain. They ensure all preparations have been met & one is fully prepared for surgery on the scheduled date. Dr Singh has performed two lower back surgeries & a level 4 neck fusion on my wife & me over past 20 yrs with Outstanding results in all cases. Exceptional Surgeon.

In 2018 Dr. Singh preformed a laminectomy on my back which completely eliminated the sharp pains, weakness and numbness I was having in my leg. I returned to him in 2021 because I had been diagnosed with adult hydrocephalus which was slowly degrading my quality of life due to balance and gait issues, beginning dementia, and other symptoms typical of the condition. After several consultations to discuss the possible treatments and probable results, I again felt confident and comfortable with Dr. Singh's recommendation do neurosurgery and install a VP shunt in my brain. Dr. Singh expertly preformed the surgery once again and two days after surgery I was release to go home with all the symptoms I was having resolved. Additionally, he preformed the surgery in such a way that it was minimally invasive and required very little removal of my hair. Dr. Singh is a skilled expert in his field and I feel blessed to have him as my doctor. He restored my quality of life.

Dr. Singh performed my first neck fusion 13 years ago which did very well with no problems. I recently had a traumatic accident and broke C2. Found out it wasn’t healing 2 months later and had to have another fusion to stabilize it. Hospital doctors couldn’t get me in for 6 weeks to do so. I called Dr. Singh’s office and had surgery 2 weeks later. Office staff is pleasant and his nurse is amazing. Have recommended this practice to so many friends and family who have all been satisfied.

Dr. Singh did an amazing job on my mothers pituitary surgery. She has been back up and moving around faster than expected. He walked us through step by step of what he was going to do and how everything was going to work.

Dr Singh is a great surgeon. I was suffering over 2 years which includes 4 orthopedic surgeons, a spinal surgeon, a pain management physician, 2 lidocaine epidural injections twice, spine surgery to correct a bulging disc, pain management diagnostic lidocaine injections, 3 MRIs, numerous X-rays, pain meds, patches, creams, etc. THEN I GOT AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR SINGH. He reviewed the latest MRI and X-ray, examined me and said I need updated, different view X-rays. I was back in his office in 2 weeks with updated X-rays. Without hesitation or vacillating, he recognized I had compressed discs at L3-4and L4-5. He recommended fusion of L3, L4, L5. He completed the operation and I have had no pain in my buttocks or legs since then. Other doctors have been searching for the source of my pain for over 2 years. Dr Singh recognized my problem within minutes of reviewing the new X-rays. Kudos to his support staff, especially nurse Leah and scheduler Dannielle.

Dr Singh performed an L4-5 fusion with went so easy and relieved me of my pain. After 8 months of sciatic pain it was great. His assistant Lea is always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr Singh for neurological issues.

I was referred to Dr. Singh by a family friend in the medical field. I wasn't sure if I was going to need surgery after years of alternative options so I went in for a consult. Dr. Singh did not pressure me, but guided me to make my own decision based off of my MRI, Xrays, and history. As a patient, Dr. Singh's staff were kind, professional, and prompt (not a lot of wasting time waiting around). In particular, Dr. Singh's nurse, Leah, could see that I was struggling with pain and scared. Leah's bedside manner is empathetic and supportive. Even during the covid craziness, Leah gave me a hugs when she saw me cry. The level of personal touch and attention was so incredibly helpful and needed during stressful times. Thank you Dr. Singh and Co. for providing me with the best medical options and for relieving my excruciating pain almost immediately post procedure. I love you and Leah for saving me!

Dr. Singh & his entire staff were absolutely magnificent! I am a retired Airborne paratrooper with severe spinal issues. Prior to my surgery I was in complete agony to the point of giving up. He was able to fit me in the schedule to perform my 3rd spinal fusion (prior were Army Medical Doctors). Upon completion, my pain not only subsided but my hope had returned as well. If you need a top notch Dr. He is the one! I was very comforted knowing that he had extensive training in complex spine instrumentation and management of spinal cord injury at Miami project to cure paralysis. Given my severe condition it was a God send!

Dr. Singh is a phenomenally talented surgeon, whom my wife and I have trusted to perform three different surgeries. You will find no-one more competent than he is. Dr. Singh performed spinal operations on both of us. Five years ago, he fused my L3/L4/L5 vertebrae with rods and screws. Six months later, I was walking normally and totally without the debilitating pain I had before the operation. My wife has severe scoliosis. Her first four vertebrae are fused to her pelvis, and she was always in pain. Three years ago, he performed a complex operation on her L3/L4 disk space and significantly relieved her pain. Recently, he removed a large tumor from her brain during a 4 1/2 hour operation. The tumor was benign, not cancerous. After four days in the hospital's intensive care unit, she returned home to recuperate. Two weeks after the operation, Dr. Singh examined her. She will live a normal life - with no physical or mental infirmities from the surgery. Dr. Singh is wonderful!

Just home from the Hospital, had CFS leak into my ear drum. Dr Singh opened my skull, fixed the leak and bone over the ear drum successfully. I am home 3 days later and could not be happier. All I have heard from hospital staff is Dr. Singh is who the doctors go to and I whole heartily believe that. I would not got to anyone else.

I have had two neck surgeries with Dr. Singh. Both times, he was straightforward and professional. I felt confident in his ability. He doesn't joke around but I'd rather have him than someone who isn't as serious. I recommended him to my daughter and she feels the same way about him.

I had unbearable sciatic and calf nerve pain and was incorrectly diagnosed as a sprained glut muscle by another Neurosugeon at Virginia Beach General. After 2 mri's, 2 xrays and 3 unsuccessful epidurals, I made an appointment with Dr Singh and he correctly diagnosed me with degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis. He performed a L4L5S1- 2 Level Lumbar Fusion and Laminectomy. After almost 7 weeks of wearing a back brace and using a bone stimulator, I'm in no pain and feel my back already getting stronger. His office staff are very knowledgeable and professional and Dr. Singh is a genius in my book.

I have had chronic lower back pain for 21 yrs. Every doctor I went to told me surgery probably wouldn't help and I should just learn to live with it. I went to Dr. Singh and he listened to my issues and understood just how much my daily functions were affected. He explained the risks and what would need to be done. In June he fused my L4-S1 and I felt immediate relief. His staff is very friendly and the office is crisp and clean. I have 2 bulging discs in my neck and when it's time to have them fixed I will definitely go back to him!

Dr. Singh did my brain surgery (benign tumor) on 27 March, 2020, working me in just as the Covid 19 pandemic was reaching the Tidewater area. He was a calming, wise influence in a very frightening, unstable time. He showed me the MRI of my brain and told me exactly what he would do and why. Then he told me how long it would take for me to recover and to go back to work, along with what to expect during that journey. The most impressive thing about Dr. Singh was waking up both Saturday and Sunday in the hospital, about 6 AM, and seeing him come into my room to examine me. That early on two weekend days! I knew he was the consummate professional then, as well as the most dedicated doctor I have ever known.

The office staff worked me in and got me an appointment sooner than the original scheduled appointment. Office staff was very pleasant and friendly. They under stood the pain I was in and took the time to exam me, which I did not get from previous doctors office. Took more x-rays the same day and discussed my options. Office staff called me the next Day to schedule surgery. Surgery was the next week. Once out of surgery the pain was immediately gone. Best decision I've made and best Neuro group. I am so great full to them.

Had a menengioma that was on the larger side. Dr Singh and team expertly removed it and saved my life, I am eternally grateful to him and his team. Soo many months of terrible nerve/back pain. After having injections multiple times without success, was referred to Dr. Singh. Had surgery in Feb and had instant relief! Can't thank him enough. Would highly recommend! Dr. Singh likes his conversations to be straight to the point. Some might interpret that as uncaring or somewhat rude. I, however, did not and am thrilled to be pain free! He is an exceptional surgeon that takes his work seriously. His goal is for his patients to get relief from pain. Love his staff as well.

Dr Singh removed a tumor in my pituitary gland. He was able to remove all of the 1.5 cm. Tumor with out any complications.

Injured my lower back while serving in the Navy. Went through physical therapy multiple times. Pain Management did epidural's and multiple oblations. This went on for at least 5 years. I was lucky to have found my way to see Doctor Singh. I had one office visit and was scheduled for surgery within 3 weeks. He is a Neurosurgeon with 33 years of experience. I had L-3 to S-1 decompressed and the fusion of L-5 to S-1. Waking up from anesthesia the nurse's, my wife and other friends noticed I was giddy. I told them I could feel the benefits from Doctor Singh doing the surgery already. I was at least 95% better hours after surgery. The surgery was 6 months ago and I am able to do things that I could not do 5 years ago. Doctor Singh is a total professional and an outstanding doctor. Dr. Singh and his staff are some of the most courteous and professional healthcare people I’ve ever encountered. In the past 3 years Dr. Singh has performed carpel tunnel surgery on both my hands, cervical anterior neck/spine surgery, and just recently lower lumbar fusion on my back. I’m a 74 year old man and the previous surgeries have gone very well. I just had a post-op appointment for my back surgery and he showed me my X-rays and said everything looked excellent. I still have to wear my back brace for 2 more weeks ( a total of 6 weeks ) which is inconvenient and uncomfortable but I can live with that. Before my surgery my sciatica was totally immobilizing in both my legs. Now it’s GONE! Dr. Singh is a miracle-worker! He is a genius and I have the utmost respect for him. In August 2016, I suffered from two herniated disc in my neck after lifting a very large patient at work. After failed conservative treatment I went to Dr. Singh. My 71 year old wife suffered from Trigeminal Neuralgia (suicide disease) for 20 years. All of the medicines had stopped working and she was in horrible pain most of the days. Because of his compassion and the staff's (Leah and Danielle) compassion she had surgery on 2.12.19. Surgery lasted 4 hours and when she woke up there was no pain and no side effects. The procedure I had was MVD for Trigeminal Neuralgia. Which I had suffered from since 2010 when I got back from Iraq. After looking at Dr. Singh's record on here and the state's board of medicine page I made an appointment. I appreciated Dr. Singh's blunt & concise demeanor. I don't put much stock into good bedside manners, I want someone who is good at what they do. The surgery was successful and effective. Norfolk General had great staff as well during my stay. I highly recommend Dr. Singh.

After a car accident in October 2018, we were unaware that my father had suffered a traumatic brain injury--it was a slow bleed that gradually took away his ability to walk. His primary care doctor scheduled him to see Dr. Singh in January--by this time he was using wheel chair and a walker. Dr. Singh scheduled him for surgery the next day. The following day he was walking...unassisted. Dr. Singh and his staff are excellent, kind and caring. After 3 weeks he is back to normal and driving.

Dr. Singh is the best, He is very honest with his patients on every level. He will answer question you have. He fixed my back 11 years ago and I did exactly what he told me to and I never had a problem, Then my L3 was crushed so I returned to to him and I am recovering post 2 mos. Its healing very well and Dr Singh and his nurses are the most compassionate caring staff. His nurse Leah has called and checked in on me often. I live 1 1/2 hour away. Dr Singh is one of the top Neurosurgeon in USA .

I was very apprehensive as surgery for my back fusion was the only surgery I have ever had. Dr Singh is a very quiet, unassuming, humble Doctor. He set me at ease and answered all of my questions. He has an excellent staff that scheduled all of my pre-op appointments and gave me clear instructions concerning what I was to do before and after surgery. My surgery (ACDF C5-T1) could not have gone any better! Dr. Singh, his PA Leah, and everyone at Neurosurgical Associates were awesome to work with. I had more stenosis and arthritis than I originally thought, but Dr. Singh was great at diagnosing the problem and explaining what had to be done and why. The day of surgery, hospital stay, and recovery all went perfectly, I had no pain the entire time and didn't have to take any pain meds at all. Could not have hoped for a better experience!

Dr. Singh removed a brain tumor for a couple of weeks ago. Less than two weeks went by from the time I decided to have it removed until the surgery. I felt like I was very important to this practice. His nurse (Leah) and his scheduler (Susan) went out of their way to help me through the process. The surgery was done on a Tuesday, and I was walking the next day. I went home the next morning. I had very little pain or discomfort after the surgery, which was amazing. Great doctors and staff!

Hello I went to several doctors for pain down my right leg no one had the answer I went to Dr Singh on my first visit he told me the problem and what he could do to fix it I had been going through this pain for almost a year and one visit he told me how he could fix the problem it was my back not my leg I had the surgery and 6 weeks later I am pain free I can't thank him enough. Dr. SING DID AN AMAZING JOB! MY HUSBAND WAS PARALYZED ON HIS RIGHT SIDE AND HAVING TROUBLE FORMING WORDS THE DAY BEFORE HIS SURGERY (DUE TO PRESSURE FROM A TUMOR IN THE LEFT FRONTAL LOBE) AFTER SURGERY HE HAD FULL MOBILITY AGAIN AND WAS ABLE TO FORM ALL OF HIS WORDS. AND HE WAS OUT OF THE HOSPITAL IN 3 DAYS. THANK YOU DR. SINGH!!

Went to the emergency room on Saturday morning because of an excruciating headache, vomiting, and balance issues. The scan indicated a brain tumor. Dr. Singh was put on the case and insisted on emergency surgery the early the next morning. I am very happy with his skill and concern. I would definitely recommend Dr. Singh for any brain surgery. My life is completely back to normal.

I found him to be indifferent to the neck problems causing pain. Cannot speak to his surgical skills, but his bedside manner was lacking. Almost caustic.

I would not recommend this Dr to anyone or any of my family members. If you must see someone in this practice just save yourself a visit or referral have it changed. Even after scheduling the appt and stating exactly the reason for the visit this Dr each time has been cold, looks down on you, if you are overweight please dont see this Dr. His office staff is nice but he cuts you off , will not listen is very Rude.

Dr. Singh performed AFCD on me two years ago without any side effects and remarkable recovery time.

Spent more time asking about who previously prescribed medications rather than discussing current issues and possible treatment options. When I inquired as to what he would do for the surgery, he never got out of his chair and flicked his pen towards the spine model. Didn't seemed interested in treating me at all.

Diagnosed late Thursday evening with a brain tumor, he had it scheduled and removed within 36 hours. 30 staples on side of head, yet left most of hair in tact to cover the scar. Absolutely not one second of pain before or after the surgery.
