Ramin Pooyan

Good morning! Beautiful day in our fun Cochella Valley. I am at a loss. This morning I phoned the telephone number PROVIDED on the internet for Dr. Ramin Pooyan. That appeared to be a BIG mistake. Ok. I am teachable. I can learn. I can correct myself. I'm only 71! Now I have phoned the local number PROVIDED - guess where? Yup. Learning... I followed the instructions to press 2 to make an appointment. A recording followed stating that extension is not answering. Further instructs to enter my mailbox number. HELP. Dr. Ramin Pooyan, how does a prospective patient appropriately reach YOU or YOUROFFICE? THANK YOU.

Dr. Pooyan had performed surgery on me twice (first a growth on thumb removed and later adhesions on shoulder). He was awesome both times. He explained both procedures. Both came out great.

Dr. Pooyan was personally recommended to my wife by our healthcare provider, citing his technical expertise. I have compared our personal observations and experiences with the reviews we found on line. We found Dr. Pooyan to be quite personable and professional. He listened to all of our input and fully answered all of our questions and was quite generous with his time. After his examination and review of the X-rays he gave us our options along with his recommendation. I am concerned with some of the reviews because they were subjectively opinionated and not based on objective criteria and metrics. We were also impressed with the office administrative staff. They were professional and courteous. In fact, Diana immediately made all of the pre-op arrangements and confirmed the surgery details before we even left the office. I agree Doctor Pooyan is one of the best Orthopedic Surgeons he is treating me and my father too we are very pleased we were referred to him He is very kind and considerate person We love him !!

Dr Pooyan is rude! Will not go back

Dr. Pooyan and staff are amazing! My daughter crushed her hand on 1/1/2018 in an accident. Dr. Pooyan worked his magic and repaired four finger on her right hand. Yes, she has a long road to recovery but she now can bend her fingers, eat , and write with her hand. Thank you Dr. Pooyan and Staff.

I had both of my thumb joints replaced by Dr. Pooyan. I will never go any place else or see anyone else except Dr. Pooyan for hand issues. He is magic! And his staff is more than amazing!

My daughter was In a roll car accident. Praise God...she was able to walk away with a broken arm. DR. POOYAN did an amazing job in surgery to repair her right arm. We thought she would definitely need a cast, but Praise God again, Dr. Pooyan was able to repair it with out needing a cast. She was in a splint for 2 weeks. Back to her self. This doctor was so rude, he had a terrible bedside manner, and didn’t give me five seconds to complete a sentence without interrupting me. The thought of going back to see him makes my skin crawl, and the route girls at the reception area were just as rude, and when I brought this up to them they didn’t care one bit. I would not recommend this doctor

I had only a consultation with Dr. Pooyan. He was extremely rude, interrupting both myself and my husband numerous times. His attitude was also quite condescending. I would not let this doctor near me with a ten foot pole!

I just completed 4 visits with Riverside Orthopedics at Desert Oasis. I saw Dr. Stabil twice and Dr. Pooyan twice. Neither Doctor could agree what to do with my shoulder. I started with needing a Rotator Cuff and ended up being advised that a shoulder replacement may be necessary. OK, Im the patient what do I know...When I asked Dr. Pooyan to help me understand and if I was in the right medical practice he became enraged and accused me of attacking him personally. He threw Dr. Stabil under the bus and his front office staff claiming everyone else had dropped the ball. I immeaditly thought to myself what a coward and creep. After sharing my experience with several medical assistants at Desert Oasis I knew that this was NOT an isolated inncodent. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS GROUP OR AT THE VERY LEAST GET AN ADDITIONAL OPINION FROM SOMEONE ELSE. This experience was like nothing Ive ever experienced in my 55 years. I snapped the tendon loose at the tip of my ring finger. Dr. Pooyan took me into immediate surgury. Repaired the tendon by pinning it to the fingertip bone. 5 weeks out my surgury site on my entire ring finger is healed. I am now doing physical therapy. Thank you for doing what you do. Ill be playing guitar again in no time now because of your great patient care and medical knowledge. Your staff has always be friendly and profes sional.

Worst visit to a 'doctor' that I've ever had.

Dr. Ramin Pooyan and his staff have been amazing to deal with. My situation has been a complex one although perhaps frustrated by me, I have nothing but great things to say about him and his staff. I have multiple surgeries on my arms Dr. Has just performed one on me a day ago. They have been empathetic to my needs and concerns not making me feel foolish to question or voice my concerns. I was referred to Dr. Pooyan by my neurologist after an EMG confirmed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome on both my wrists. I saw him first in OCT/15 to discuss having the right wrist CTR done. I had problems with numbness/tingling on and off for years and was told it was from a nerve impingement in my C6 so I thought I had to ''suck it up''. When I met with Dr Pooyan I felt reassured and confident in his treatment. We did the right wrist in Dec. It went so well I had him do the left wrist this past August

I just descended into a nightmare because of this doctor's office - let me be clear, I'm not rating the doctor himself, I never met him. Before I went to his office I was advised Eisenhower Medical Center would charge me $365 just for the privilege of walking across their property to Dr. Pooyan's office. I canceled the appointment. I just received a call from a collections agency that Eisenhower is trying to collect that $365 from me. I called Dr. Pooyan's office for some information and they told me they had nothing to do with it. I asked how would Eisenhower even know my name if Dr. Pooyan's office did not give it to Eisenhower? That was it, no further response other than it's not their issue. Boo, hiss, shame on you. Now I have to deal with a collections agency, which I will of course win over the disputed amount, but thanks for the help, Doc! He cut my nerve in my right hand and would not admitted he did. He open it up the next day and said it was simply a hemotoma. How did that get their? His response, I don't know. He insulted me and lied too. I lost sensation in three fingers. I went for refferals with 3 reputable docs. They all said he must have nicked the nerve. I had surgery with Dr. Neil Jones of USC Irvine. Highly recommend him. He diagnosed a tumor. He did micro-surgery. After 2 years and no sensation. The photos tell all
